Primary reason

Following in the footsteps of our best members and under the tutelage of Adeodatus, Seridan has never failed to impress. His calm attitude and ability to be among our most active exemplify some of the qualities expected of a Jedi Knight. Leading the attack in Return of the Light to liberate New Tython from the Thuron monarchy, he has both passed every trial expected of him, and earned a spot in the top placements of the event. He is both a liberator, and a friend to all.

Even at such an early rank - Seridan has shown his capability to successfully lead a team through the Bosthirda Run-on event. This contribution earned him a Steel Cross, pairing it with his own activity in the event. He is a behemoth of activity - to put it mildly, earning him no less than twenty-four Crescents for competition placement. And that has only been since his last elevation. In three months, he's far exceeded anything expected of him, and is unrivalled in drive and initiative. Whether the task includes gaming, wiki editing, fiction or graphics - he's more than willing to give it his best.

He's also been a participating member in the Antei Combat Center - completing no less than four matches, incuding at least two ladder matches (ACC Closed Beta and Fading Light.) His wiki work is also superb, having created his own quality article, as well as Paladin squadron, Darik Pu'ka, and an update of the Ooroo Battleteam article. Heck, he's even created a wordpress blog of his experiences with us - Both actual and fictional - which appears to be in excellent quality and quite an entertaining read.

As an Aedile, it has been my pleasure to see such a member rise up the ranks - and with character so richly detailled. With that said, I beileve it is time to cast his Padawan braid aside, and allow him to rise a Jedi Knight.

Additional reasons

After many months of hard work it is my great honor and pleasure to recommend my student, PAD Seridan Brehevik of House Odan-Urr, for promotion to the rank of Jedi Knight in the Sentinel Order.

Seridan was raised to the rank of Padawan on March 11th of this year and since that time has become, in my opinion, one of the driving forces within his battle team and our house. Scarcely a day goes by when I do not receive an email showing his participation in some competition or event. Needless to say he has also completed the other requirements outlined in the promotion guidelines.

What impresses me most however about this candidate is the growth that he has shown since he first joined the house back in January. He came in with a well-developed plan for his character. However, he was also unsure of his abilities in certain areas, notably in fiction composition and writing. Because of this, our training together focused on this area to some extent and he has shown remarkable growth in his ability. He has written some decent wiki articles for himself and the house and has also contributed greatly to the fictional side of our brotherhood through his participation in several run-ons and major house competitions. He has also found his niche in the ACC where he has been an active participant since the beta testing stage.

During our time together Seridan has never been shy about admitting his faults and weaknesses. However, he has also shown a great desire to improve himself in every area of life in the Brotherhood. He handles criticism of his work very well and is always open to suggestions for improvement. He has also been very respectful to me and other members of the house in all our conversations. He is an active participant in our email list which is itself an accomplishment due to the pace and activity shown in this part of our house.

However, the real reason I feel that he has proven himself worthy of promotion lies less in his past activity but in what I feel we can expect from him in the future. Seridan has been active since the day he first arrived and shows no sign of slowing down after his elevation. But activity itself is not the sign of a good member. Drawing from real life experience I would only recommend someone for this honor who I would feel comfortable working with and possibly serving under in the future. Seridan meets all these expectations and more.

I have no doubt that Seridan will be an asset to this organization in the near future. And I am convinced that he will become a forceful and capable leader as well. For my part, I would gladly serve under him and I would feel comfortable entrusting him with a greater level of responsibility. I am proud to call him my student and a friend.

Therefore, I fully endorse my student for promotion to the rank of Jedi Knight. And I would ask that this summit respond to this request at their convenience. I will gladly answer any questions that you may have or provide any further documentation if it be required.
