Since coming on board as BTL of the Disciples of Dreypa, Marduss has been a great, active communicator with not only myself and my Aedile, but more importantly with the members of his battleteam. Marduss has been able to push and poke his journeymen to meet their promotion requirements, many of whom are extremely busy with real life. In fact, he was able to get responses out of people who were previously believed were "gone" from the DJB and had tried to contact multiple times. On top of that Marduss has a very personal touch when dealing with his members, and tries to carve out a path for them that is suitable to what they enjoy the most doing. As a relatively new member himself, Marduss has been able to also been able to reflect his own experiences onto others, both new and veteran, alike. All of this is accomplished while continuing to complete his own promotion requirements as a journeymen. Needless to say, the Summit of Plagueis in conjunction with the MAA believe firmly that these actions are suitable for a Summit task: a task that goes well above and beyond what is expected of any normal journeyman, and executing it with extreme excellence.

On top of his extraordinary Summit task, Marduss recently received an Anteian Cross for his activity in the "Sphere of Influence" Plagueis clan feud, helping to push House Ajunta Pall towards victory. His activity in Sphere of Influence also quickly racked up competition participation, placing in several events including the amount required for his promotion. Marduss also completely ran, under the watch and assistance of the Voice and myself, the "A New Era of Monsters" competition which was wildly successful bumping it up in crescents and also earning Clusters of Ice from the Voice's office for all the writing submissions. Marduss has also achieved much in the way of the Shadow Academy: getting to rank IV, amassing numerous passed courses, several degrees, and just as importantly two of the leadership courses! Finally, Marduss has provided fiction for Plagueis by completing, separately, both a 1,500 word and 3,000 word fictions benefiting the unit as a whole!

But no longer will Marduss be a journeymen himself; I am happy and proud to recommend Marduss for his promotion to Dark Jedi Knight.

The final rung on the Journeyman ladder, Dark Jedi Knight, is effectively an acknowledgement that the member is ready to take the training wheels off. As the promotion requirements get more detailed, and less well-defined, a member needs to be personally motivated as well as show a sustained dedication to the club to reach that bar. Marduss has clearly reached that level. Quite often, the infamous "Summit Task" we give to Jedi Hunters is something of little real significance. Edit this wiki article, write up some bios for NPCs for the Clan. Marduss tackled the responsibility of helping his fellow Journeyman. Without his direct involvement, Plagueis would be several members smaller. Thanks to his hard work, and constant communication, Clan Plagueis, and the Brotherhood have a few more active members than we would otherwise. If that (in addition to completing his other requirements) isn't warranting promotion to DJK, I don't know what is.
