Primary reason

Armags is one of my favourite success stories in the Brotherhood. For a very long time, Armags was content, even proud of his status as the DB’s longest running Jedi Hunter. He was content just playing some games with people, and having some fun here and there when time allowed. He enjoyed the community in Taldryan, and he enjoyed gaming with the DB… but that was all he wanted from the place.

Then something changed. Armags decided he wanted to do more, to be more in this club. He decided he wanted to step up, and help people have fun in the DB. Armags decided he wanted to be a leader, and what a job he has done.

Since he stepped up to the plate as Battle team Leader 8 months ago, Armags has been exactly what he wanted to be: a leader. He’s not always been perfect, but he’s tried hard. To me, the ultimate proof of someone who has the ability to be a good leader in the DB is the willingness to admit where they have weaknesses, and step up. Armags has that in spades, and every day he grows stronger as a leader, and every day he becomes more and more proof of the success story that I believe him to be.

I’m not even going to get into the whole list of how active Armags is, or how he participates, or how he creates competitions for others to participate in. I’ll leave the laundry listing to other people. To me, Armags exemplifies what I want in the leaders under my command: the ability to grow, and the willingness to put themselves out of their comfort area to serve their members.

Congratulations on your promotion to Obelisk Templar Armags, you truly deserve it man.

Additional reasons

Armags has been one hell of a contributor to Taldryan, was a great Battleteam Leader, and most recently he's been shaping up as a great Aedile too, but my colleagues will cover his leadership and mastering contributions.

In terms of raw activity? Armags has been a beast - as demonstrated by just the boatload of medals he's earned in the past almost year. Since his last promotion in March of 2014, Armags has earned himself a Steel Cross and Anteian Cross, a Seal of Loyalty, six crescents for competition placement, five Pendants of Blood, a Scroll of Indoctrination, a Scroll of the Master, two Clusters of Ice, and a whopping 1469 Clusters of Fire. In addition, Armags has competed in 38 competitions, and has hosted or co-hosted eight competitions.

Armags, this promotion has been a long time coming. Congratulations man!

Transitioning to a leadership role within a Clan that you've never been apart of is never easy, I firmly believe that having Armags as my AED is what made my transition pain free. He exemplifies great leadership, like Yacks spoke to above he is always willing to go out of his comfort zone to either help the younger members of the House or host a large intra-House competition to help the Clan prepare for the upcoming Great Jedi War. He has been invaluable to me by being someone I can bounce ideas off and expect honest counsel in return.

In addition to his leadership ability, Armags has entered Beast Mode when it comes to activity. There are very few competitions that Armags does not participate in especially when it comes to gaming. He is one of the most active gamer's in Clan Taldryan and the Brotherhood as a whole.

I've been waiting to write this recommendation for a long time, it is truly well deserved. Congratulations man on the well deserved promotion to Obelisk Templar.

Like all of the above speakers I would like to emphasize what an easy to go with person Armags is. His foremost trait is that he is highly reliable, someone you can be sure of that if you give him a job, the job will get done while at the same time always having an eye open to things that might become interesting to other members as well as things already implemented but without the desired success where he steps up and brings them up to the responsible person without hesitation.

These traits coupled with his outstanding activity and leadership performance, first as BTL of the Harbingers and now as Aedile of Dinaari, as well as his mentoring capabilities should serve as example for everyone aiming for becoming a leader within the Brotherhood in the future.

Armags, congratulations on your promotion and welcome to the ranks of Equites!
