Atra as a character has always been closer to a Grey Jedi than a Sith, however, he is entirely selfish and rigid in his use of the Dark as his primary tool. There is no place for him in the light and he avoids it at all costs. Despite this, he has no interest in any of the rigid traditions that follow the Sith order, and wishes to follow his own path, that of a Dark Jedi.
