Primary reason

There are times you have a member that gives you so much activity that you come before the MAA’s office with an embarrassment of riches. This is one of those times, and Dracaryis is one of those members. I almost wish I could just copy/paste the recommendation from the Grand Cross he just earned and call it a day, but the problem with that would be how inaccurate that would be given how Drac has continued his astonishing pace of activity and leadership without pause since then. Over the last six months, one would be hard pressed to find another member, Journeyman or Equite, that has been more active and dedicated than Dracaryis. So, let’s break it down.

Drac has spent every single day since his elevation to the rank of Knight in leadership, and has continued to ascend through the chain of positions due to his outstanding skills. He spent a month as Battleteam Leader of Apostles of Syn in House Karness Muur and helped drive the engine of the Clan by mentoring new joins along the road towards active and contributing members. He then stepped up as Aedile for me in House Ajunta Pall after Furios stepped down and continued his assault. His activity as a leader and engagement with our membership was absolutely crucial in the performance of Ajunta Pall during the three month Restoration feud event. His drive for success was directly responsible for Ajunta Pall’s decisive victory in the finale House vs House phase, where HAP edged HKM by ten total entries and achieved 1200 total points (and a victory margin of 400 points that was equal to half of what Karness Muur earned in total). He was my strong right hand during my tenure as Quaestor, publishing reports or contributing to my own in addition to the one on one engagement he maintained with the House members. It took all of two seconds to appoint him as Quaestor when the job opened up earlier this month, and our confidence was proven almost immediately when he published his first house report two days after taking the job. Without his tireless leadership efforts, ranging from emails to IRC/Telegram presence to directly mentoring his new Aedile, there is no way Ajunta Pall would be set up for the kind of consistent, ongoing success that it is moving forward.

As an individual competitor, however, he makes his performance in leadership look positively pedestrian. He participated in seventeen of the total nineteen events available during our Restoration feud and earned fourth, second, and first place finishes in each of the three phases in succession. He has entered a total of fifty-six competitions as a Knight and earned fourteen total competition crescents (one diamond, two ruby, five amethyst, four sapphire, one emerald, and one topaz). He has continued to climb the mountain of gaming activity, amassing thirty-one clusters of fire and a staggering nine hundred and two clusters of earth along with his two pendants of blood. He also ventured out into the ACC for the first time during the recent Rivalries competition and (duh) earned his Dark Maven: Leadership degree.

Drac has been by far one of the most active and motivated Knights I have ever had the pleasure to see. If I had a House of Dracs I could lean back in my chair and not have to worry about actually doing much as Proconsul because my job consist entirely of just writing recommendations to the MAA. But, since I’ve only got the one, I’ll have to content myself with writing this one and advancing Dracaryis into the Equites with the rank of Warrior. Congratulations, Drac, you’ve earned this one and then some!

Additional reasons

The equite levels are the presumed first steps into leadership of the Dark Brotherhood, and I can say that for quite some time now Drac has been a wonderful leader in Plagueis. Since joining Plagueis, Drac has been engaging, motivating, active, friendly, and interactive with the other members of the clan and club as a whole: essentially all the things we look for in our leaders, and our equites. Drac is always jumping into things head first and being as involved as he can while pushing others along the way. When I was made consul a little bit ago I knew heading in that I wanted Drac to continue on the leadership of Plagueis, but to also move up it so making him a quaestor was a no brainer. Since then he's taken the reigns of Ajunta Pall smoothly, continuing to work with the same people as quaestor like he did as aedile.

Drac is a proven leader in Plagueis, and projects his own qualities to those around him. I think I speak for everyone in Plagueis when I say that these past few months have been wonderful to work with Drac and his high level of activity and involvement. He has definitely earned his place among the equites and I'm happy to congratulate him!
