Aeson does not have the drive or discipline that are needed to follow the Way of the Sith. To him, developing his Force powers are simply a means to an end. That end being making his life easier and more secure. He views the politics and treachery of the Sith as a waste of time and an unnecessary threat to his own well being. Aeson does not want to rule the galaxy. Instead he just wants to enjoy the pleasures of it... at someone else's expense. He views the Sith emphasis on Pride and Anger just as detrimental to the enjoyment of life's opportunities as the Jedi way of Detachment and Aestheticism.
