Zujenia is one of those members who constantly reminds us why we do what we do as leaders.

First and foremost, her personal activity is beyond compare. Since her promotion to Knight five months ago, Zuji has organized three competitions and participated in forty-eight, or roughly ten per month. In doing so, she has earned herself fourteen Crescents, ten Clusters of Fire, seventeen Clusters of Graphite, and a whopping forty-six Clusters of Ice. By any measure, that's a phenomenal level of activity.

Beyond her remarkable participation, though, she has proven herself to be a true leader. Bright, enthusiastic, constantly volunteering and looking for ways to make the lives and experience of her fellow Arconans better, she is the epitome of all we ask for in the Brotherhood. During the past five months, she has continually served her Battleteam, first as Sergeant, then lately as Battleteam Leader. In the three months since she took the helm of Shadow Gate, she has demonstrated her reliability, unflagging spirit, and consistent drive to push her members into being the best they can be.

Zujenia has come far in the eight the months since she joined the Brotherhood, and the five since Knighthood. And I have no doubt she'll continue to achieve great things no matter what the future throws at her.

Zuji, it has been my honor to see you learn, grow and excel in Qel-Droma, and it is a true pleasure to recommend you for elevation to the Equites. Well done.

Zuejnia is a rare member and leader inside the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. She acknowledges her limits while never settling or sitting back to become complacent with the thing she has or is challenged with. She is the embodiment of an active member as her metrics show on paper, but where Zuji really shines is in how she interacts with literally everyone she comes across in our social forum. Between the various communities she is an active voice (Art Chat, Fiction Chat, Clan and DB Chat) and has gotten a reputation as the official greeter of DB Chat to any new join (whether they are a veteran or new member). This enthusiasm is contagious and helps create a more fun and welcoming environment that fully supports the open direction of the Brotherhood.

As a former member of Shadow Gate, I know that she goes to great lengths to help the members of her Battleteam by keeping them informed with follow up emails, timely reports, and constant communication. She has recently taken on my personal recruit to the DB, Kelviin, and it's a pleasure knowing he's in good hands with such a patient and enthusiastic mentor.

As Voice, I get to see her encouraging and pushing others to compete in activity. In my view, she has more than earned this promotion. Congrats, Zuji, you toast deserves this. :)

Voice of the Brotherhood

Few things make a teacher prouder than to see their students go on to great accomplishments; I’d argue that one of those things is when said student hardly seems to need mentoring at all. Zuji was already so much when she joined the club — bright, positive, determined, helpful — and she has blessed us with those traits and then some every day since she first hit the ground running. Within months of her joining, she was tackling wiki work, competition creation, tutoring and greeting of members, event hype, email writing, etc, essentially behaving as a leader among her peers without a title. A short step it was, then, to Battleteam Sergeant and then Leader, and her last step it certainly won’t be. Zuji is active, encouraging, pioneering...she has a spirit for this Brotherhood, the kind that we hope and pray for in every new or random join, the kind that will carry on with the promise of a generation after our own. When I watch my apprentice now, I don’t just see an excellent student and Master in her own right, I don’t just see a gem of a participant as a Consul, I don’t just see a kind woman who has come to be a supportive and treasured friend — I see our future. For all that the club will continue all on its own as our fandom does, it is the people who will spark it to thrive, and Zuji’s only grows each day.

Zujenia, Zuji, Zuju, Kait, Zombiecorn: Never in my short life in the Dark Brotherhood have I ever seen someone so exuberant in her willingness to step up to any and all plates, jump headfirst into innumerable tasks and accomplish them all with enough fervor to make a Hurricanado blanch. From her work on the Wiki(The Holds, adding additions to the Phantom Complex and Shadow Gate) to the way she encourages and drives her peers (and leaders) proves that her enthusiasm and completion-elitism is, as far as I can see, utterly unmatched. Her ability to accomplish many menial tasks while delving into, and assisting others with, character development is perfect in her status as Battleteam Leader. She is an inspiration to other members (myself included), constantly challenging them to do more, be better, try harder and then works alongside them, growing with them as she spurs them forward. Seemingly in spite of her brief time with us so far, she has outgrown and outshined many of the members, new and old, and fights for us to do all the things.

Kait’s ability to transition from inquisitive student to inspiration for everyone should be the main reason, in my mind, why she deserves to be promoted to Equite. She is an example for us all and should be rewarded as such.
