Primary reason

Today, I happily recommend Wuntila Zratis Entar Arconae for his promotion to the final ranks of the Equites.

Wuntila's achievements are many, and while others will detail his many strengths in past leadership positions, I will discuss his activity and assistance. Wun is an avid and skilled competitor, having participated in 65 competitions since March 2013, of which he placed in 33, earning three Bronze Novae, five Silver Novae, three Gold Novae, and many Crescents, including 7 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, 4 Crescents with Emerald Stars, 3 Crescents with Ruby Stars, 8 Crescents with Sapphire Stars, and 2 Crescents with Topaz Stars. Not just a successful consumer, he is also a producer for his brethren, coorganizing 19 competitions for club and clan. Amidst all this, Wun also takes part in activities from fiction to gaming, garnering 30 Clusters of Fire, 25 Clusters of Ice, and 5 Clusters of Earth. To top all this off, Wun served as both mentor, leader, and teacher, tutoring Rinz'sler Sang-Kalinor, now an Equite himself, to Knight for 1 Scroll of the Master and taking on new student, Plaid Sarida, and also earning 5 Scrolls of Foundation. He has additionally received several marks for his exemplary activity, including a Grand Cross and, for his run as one of the single longest-standing and most respected Consuls this brotherhood has seen, an Amythest Kukri.

Wuntila's service as a leader must thereof be reviewed. He has, in total over several appointments, spent 5 months as Aedile of House Galeres in Arcona, 7 months as an ACC Judge, 3 months as a Shadow Academy staff member, 6 months as a Seneschal Magistrate, 4 months as Arcona's Consul, and 3 months as her Proconsul, along with a cumulative 11 months as a Voice Magistrate. In these various positions, he fulfilled many duties on several levels, as can be attested. In particular, though, I would discuss Wun's benefits to his Clan and Summit in recent months, as he has headed the revitalization and updating of both the House Galeres and Clan Arcona wiki pages and their associated pages, rolling out updates in several installments in order to ensure the pages are up to date and expanding their content. He brainstorms this content with the House and Clan summits, as well as brainstorming, assisting, and writing for other events, such as Sins of the Past. Besides these strong wiki drives, Wun is also vigilant in day to day Summit business and issues, encouraging increased communication and constant emailing, and offering advice and aid where possible, plus also advising on hirings for the Summit. He asks for nothing else than to be able to serve, and it is that that makes him an example to which others should aspire to.

For these reasons, and for all those included below, I say this, Sam: thank you. Thank you, and congratulations.

Wuntila has helped me spot various bugs in the new website while it was still in its beta/staging phase that would have been overlooked otherwise. Thank you, Sam.

James L. Entar Seneschal of the Brotherhood

Prophet James Lucius Entar, 2017-02-10 02:49:00 UTC

Wuntila Arconae continued to serve his Clan as Consul for another five months. These were not normal months, either — they were months of war, with the Dark Crusade dominating everyone’s agendas and ambitions. As late as August 2014, Wuntila stood atop the overall scoring table, masterfully juggling his duties as Consul with his own efforts on behalf of Arcona.

After five months, the time came to begin the transition that had been in the works for years, when Marick became Consul. Even then, Wuntila did not take the opportunity to step away. Instead, he stayed on for another two months as Proconsul, serving dutifully the man who had been his best friend and his right hand for so long. At the same time, Wun continued serving as Magistrate to the Voice, Magistrate to the Seneschal, and a Shadow Academy staffer.

Since that time, Wuntila has been anything but absent. He remains a vital contributor in high-level Clan discussions, a regular participant in general Clan chats on Telegram, and a powerful voice of reason in Summit conversations. Beyond that, Wuntila has contributed concretely to Arcona and secured a Bronze Nova as part of one of Arcona’s run-on teams in Great Jedi War XI.

Wuntila, thank you. Thank you, on behalf of the rest of Arcona’s Summit, for being an inspiration and constant source of support.

Legorii Proconsul Emeritus of Clan Arcona

Warlord Legorii Arconae, 2017-02-10 02:48:40 UTC

Since March 2013, Wuntila has served honorably as a member of Clan Arcona and the Brotherhood. In his 3 months as Consul, he was present and active everyday as we went through a series of recurring Vendettas. Consulship during that time included keeping the entire Summit on task while mentoring the younger leaders (like myself) on how to work efficiently and handle the stresses of DB leadership. He always knew when and how to write encouraging and inspiring emails, detailed reports, and to maintain constant communication with his members. The results of this dedication and mentorship has seen former-leaders under his guidance rise to Dark Council positions, as well as my own ability to become a successful leader and his successor.

After Consul, Wuntila agreed to stay on as Proconsul to help me transition into my role. Whenever I had a question or was unsure of something, he was right there to catch me or give me advice. It was invaluable to me, and when he had to step down from the position due to getting a new job outside the club, it was a bittersweet moment. But that is the nature of this club sometimes. Wun knew that stepping down would take away a lot of the momentum he had gathered leading up to that point. He knew that it was best for the Clan, however. Combined with his past leadership and varying contributions to the club across multiple offices, he has more than earned thanks.

Thank you for everything, Sam.

Voice of the Brotherhood

Master Marick Tyris Arconae, 2017-02-10 02:48:03 UTC

I have found often enough that when I need a dose of reality and an alternate viewpoint to see the world of the DJB through, I seek out Wun to be that person. He always ensures that I have had to think through a situation from beginning to end and consider things from a very different perspective. Whether it be a quick email, a PM on Telegram or a G+ hangout, I know I can rely on Sam to be a force for change, specifically change for the better.

He advocates for our members, our Summit and our Clan like a man possessed. When given a problem to solve, he will work with any member and often find ways to involve others to ensure that we come to the best resolution possible in an appropriate amount of time. Above all else that I respect and thank Sam for is that even when he disagrees with a situation, he doesn’t ever drop the subject, walk away or ignore it. As a leader he confronts the problem head on, rarely pointing to a specific person, instead addressing the problem itself and seeking ways to resolve it with the most amicable solution for all parties involved.

Thank you for your contributions, Sam. It is an honor to recommend you for Equite IV.
