Primary reason

It is always interesting to watch a new member make their way up the ranks. It has been no less with Calenhad. Since he came to Clan Naga Sadow, Calenhad has hit the ground running, hard. I have nothing but respect for the work that he has put into his ascent. Calenhad is never afraid to ask questions, almost always willing to take part in things if he is free, be it gaming, Telegram competitions (five since his last promotion) or writing. Speaking of the writing, he has already written 816 words for a fiction competition since he attained Hunter and finished his first battle in the Antei Combat Centre. He has also joined up with others in Star Conflict to take on 13 PVE activities, earning 208 Clusters of Earth and a Cluster of Fire for a fun bit of PvO activity. His writing has gathered 6 Clusters of Ice over the last 36 days.

He even came to me about starting up his first comp, Pathological Paranoia, wondering how he could get started and what needed to be done. Now, he and I have to still sit down and mark that competition as we collaborated, but I cannot stress how impressed I am that he reached out without any bidding from myself. This has been par for the course for this bright-eyed Journeyman over the last 36 days.

Calenhad has taken part in 16 comps, placing in three of them since his last promotion. He recieved 2 Clusters with a Sapphire Star and a Cluster with an Amethyst Star. Now, there are plenty of Clan competitions that occur that give our members a chance to snag some shinies, but no, Calenhad took third in the [Fist] - Heroes of the Storm comp at club level, as well as placing in the Clan's The Collective have arrived, Words to Remember and To Become a Blackguard. Oh, did I mention he became a Blackguard? Taking second in the competition, Calenhad joined the ranks of many a Sadowan who competed to gain the honor and opportunity to guard a member of our Summit, in his case, our Proconsul Ashia Keibatsu. This also gives him a chance to work fictionally with our Rollmaster to learn a bit more about leadership. Not that he necessarily needed it. With all the get up and go we have seen from Calenhad, when we reopened Devil's Shroud, he was more than willing to take on the position, working hard over the last month to learn more about what is expected of a Battleteam Leader. We have even discussed leadership and related ideas as we played Star Conflict.

If you look back at what Calenhad has done, I believe he has more than earned his place amongst the Knights of Clan Naga Sadow. If he keeps this kind of work up, I am sure that before we know it he will be soaring on wings of excellence. Keep up the awesome work, and drinks are on you, Knight Calenhad!
