Primary reason

Revak Kur has continued to impress me since I hired him as Quaestor of Sunrider. I remember when he took command of his first House all the way to where he is now and it fills me with an overwhelming sense of pride. Revak Kur has proven himself as someone I can constantly rely on to not only do their job but to exceed it, all while showing everyone just how active a leader can be.

First, I’d like to spotlight his community events hosting further. This has been a major initiative for Odan-Urr and one of the hardest things to do for it is find willing hosters to set aside their precious time to get Odanites together. Another word for it is member wrangling and since many of our members have busy schedules this is a difficult task. Out of all my volunteers Revak has stepped forward the most, hosting an outstanding 14 events. And when he isn’t hosting he is right there supporting others events, details you can find below in Vyr's recc. He doesn’t have to host or attend events, but Revak stepped up anyways and our community events would not be as successful as they’ve been without his help. On behalf of our community, thank you so much.

Second, Revak took the initiative all on his own to create an Odan-Urr Activity Assessment Guide, which has already been used to help instruct his House summit. It was a pleasant surprise one day to see this document shared with me. It’s current iteration has 16 pages and captures all the knowledge collectively passed down as Revak learned how to award and promote members. Not only that, but it's very detailed and has clear pictorial examples of what to look for and how to get there. To pull out one example that I remember having to learn from scratch, I call out “how to check someone’s wiki contributions and properly give them credit for it”. Now we have a document to help teach that and it has already made the process of awarding/promoting members much smoother for our younger leaders. It even includes nuggets of wisdom and gotchas to look out for.

Given all that you’ve done for Odan-Urr, it is my pleasure to recommend that Revak Kur receive an Amethyst Kukri for the exceptional work you’ve done. I couldn’t imagine a Summit without you.

Additional reasons

Leading from the front is a phrase often thrown around when leaders in the DB are concerned. In many cases it is simply a fact that House leaders are the ones doing the most to participate and, through their participation, motivate their House members to do the same. And that is no bad thing in our club. Revak is one of these “from the front” leaders, always doing more than he is expected to to motivate his members to engage with what the Club and Clan offers.

Revak’s tally is impressive since he has participated in 97 competitions since his last recognition, and organized 10. His participation and activity has put him at the top of the Clan’s activity roster every month and even won him several Scimitars of Hoth, our monthly competitions for the best and most active members. He has participated in the Great Jedi war in a huge way, won 27 Seals of Vision for his efforts, and helped out many of the newest members of our Clan (as well as some older ones), through telegram and mail, to engage with the, often intimidating, GJW competitions. His normal activity amounts to 60 Pve or PvP matches, 11 written fictions (altogether 9,227 words written), 11 SA courses passed, 2 SA degrees, 14 Crescents, 2 Pendants of Blood, 335 various Clusters and 1 seal of loyalty.

I would be remiss not to mention Revak’s work as Quaestor of our only House, Sunrider. As it is our only House, we are aware that the burden placed on Revak’s shoulders is immense and he has never let us down. Running the Vatali Unsettled storyline — a multi-chapter competition event which created and continues to create new and exciting internal factions, locations and character in our star system, provides members with hours of fun through various competitions, and furthers the Clan’s overall storyline onward — is just one of his successful projects. He has also participated in the reorganization and review of our Clan’s Possessions (fleets and army), and created a guide for our new leaders on Activity Assessment of members and when and how to give members rewards they deserve. He has either participated in or hosted 32 weekend community events with a total of 116 hours invested in either playing games, roleplaying or socializing with other Clan members.

As his Proconsul, as his colleague and team mate, who has worked with him since we were Battleteam Leaders together years ago, it is my honor to present him with this award. He has more than earned it. Congratulations!

As I'm sure the others will be listing details of actual activity. Let me be one to give some insight on just what I think of Revak! But, in a good way as I have nothing negative to say about the guy. Since rejoining the Brotherhood and stepping into leadership for the first time, Revak has always been there for me and has been readily available to chat, even concerning personal matters. He is a cornerstone of this Clan and I couldn't imagine an Odan-Urr without him in it. When I see him, he is always offering advice and maintaining the quality community feel that we in leadership roles have been trying to push. He is a role-model of a human being and I'm honored to call him a friend. He is so deserving of this award because I know it will only help to motivate him further as we move into future greatness. Kudos! Revak, you're the man.

Ah, what can I say about Revak Kur? A friend, a mentor, and a pillar of the entire Clan. For as long as I’ve known him, Revak has been open, accommodating, and friendly. He’s helped me nail down the finer, more often overlooked parts of Leadership in the Brotherhood, and been a very patient teacher while doing so. Revak is always available whenever someone needs him, and is a crucial part of keeping Odan-Urr running as well as it does. Congratulations on your award!
