Primary reason

Since I returned to Clan Naga Sadow and House Shar Dakhan I’ve met a lot of newer members who have continued to make this a great Clan and House and make me want to stay here. Amongst those I think you would struggle to find one more consistently active as Augur Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar.

He first really came to my attention when I decided to try and max the Shadow Academy Society and decided to hit the courses hard. As quickly as I was submitting them, he and a fellow professor were marking and sending them back allowing me to keep going. When you look at the over four hundred he has marked since his last recognition, or the over eighteen hundred since he became an EQ4, that figure just keeps quietly rising which is why I am writing over four hundred because the figure goes up every day. I see newer members in our Clan working on the SA and being happy when they pass a course or get a degree and their society rank goes up and they’re onto the next course and Sanginius courses seem to be among the most frequently taken. It is the quiet work by Shadow Academy staff like Sanguinius that makes it an efficient process and rewarding for the members. As much as the high profile developments and changes that everyone notices and are written about in Dark Council reports are important, the work that quietly goes on behind the scenes every day is equally important and needs recognising for the benefit it gives to the Brotherhood and its members.

In addition to his work in the Shadow Academy, Sanginius continues to be one of the most active members of Clan Naga Sadow. Since his last recognition in 2019 he has organised thirteen competitions, noticeable amongst these was the Pro Bowl IV on which Sanginius worked with Clans Plagueis and Taldryan to create a fun multi clan competition for all their members, demonstrating his ability to look beyond his Clan to benefit members on a wider scale. In addition he has participated in forty four other competitions, earning an impressive sixteen crescents, three pendants of blood and over eight hundred clusters which shows his remarkably consistent level of activity. He is one of those members who has worked his way up House and Clan Summits to the Consul job, already has an astounding number of awards including four different sacramentals, and has never lost his enthusiasm for being an active member of his Clan and the Brotherhood. I feel that alone speaks volumes about his character.

Lastly, I am very happy to have him as my Aedile here in Shar Dakhan. Following the departure of his two predecessors in fairly rapid succession, Sanguinius expressed an interest in the role, and I was happy to accept. Since then along with a few other experienced members he is both a valuable advisor on processes that have changed since I was around before and a supportive but objective sounding board for ideas. He makes suggestions to develop or improve them such as the work we did last summer changing and developing our House’s fictional status. He also worked with me on the recent Inos Incursion competition, both helping develop it, hosting some of the comps, and heavily participating in the individual competitions I ran.

Having an Aedile and member who is both knowledgeable and supportive is invaluable to me, as is his activity that sets an amazing example to every member of our House and Clan. For all of his hard work for Naga Sadow, the Shadow Academy, and the Brotherhood, I am proud to recommend he receive a Sapphire Blade.

Quaestor of Shar Dakhan

Additional reasons

One of the constants that I have had in the Brotherhood since my joining has been that of our fine friend Sang. This dude has been a solid part our community for ages.

Although he had stepped away from the role of Consul back in 2018, Sang has never been too far from Clan Naga Sadow. He has served as an Aedile twice over since that time. Particularly, he has served about six months as the Aedile of House Marka Ragnos. Beyond the metrics provided on the site and the primary recommendation provided by his Quaestor, Sang is also a friend to Clan Naga Sadow. Even when he was not in an official position, he was still willing to provide this Consul some advice and insight. Maybe part of that was because of his service term as Quaestor of the House so early in my career. Or maybe that just underlines the constant that he is.

Sanguinius' help has not stopped there since his retirement from heading the Clan. Whether it was from brainstorming, acting as a sounding board, or even stepping up to help the other House and becoming the Aedile of House Shar Dakhan. Since there, he has continued to act as a voice of even reason. As discussions carry on in our Summit chat, I can trust that Sang will give frank and honest feedback to whatever crazy, inane or ingeneous ideas might arise there.

Sang wants good things for our Clan. He reaches out to members to play games on the weekends. He wants our members to engage. He has supported competitions like the Inos Incursion and Tensions in the Orian Empire. Actually, looking back he even placed third overall in the Tensions competition! His support in events like the last Great Jedi War, our pre-war miniseries and our return to the Orian system was greatly appreciated as well.

When you take all these things into account with the contributions that Sanguinius has made to the greater Dark Brotherhood community I am quite excited that we will be able to recognize him with this award. Well done, Sang!

When I started as an Aedile, Sang was the Quaestor. He helped me learn the ropes of leadership and guided me as I got the hang of writing promotions, reports, and working alongside others. He taught me the importance of communication between Summit and members. He was always available to chat whenever I needed someone to talk to for assistance. Sang is a valuable member to the DJB with his experience and He makes an awesome fun HOTS buddy when it comes to gaming. He has stepped above and beyond his comfort zone to help get things done and I am honored to give my recommendation for this award. Congratulations Sang, you deserve it!

I am completely honored for the privilege of being able to say a few words about my Master, Augur Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar. I could site all the numbers of comps and tests graded Sanguinius has done, but my wonderful collogues above me have already sited those accolades. Sang's leadership and influence is something that should be highlighted.

Sang has taken the reigns of leadership at all levels multiple times. His influence whether in a command position or not, knows no bounds. Sang is a true pillar of Clan Naga Sadow, a wealth of knowledge that is astonishing on another level. His presence within the Clan is immense to say the least. Everyone knows and respects the Augur, that is monumental in my book! He has earned the Sadow namesake and emulates those qualities with natural ease.

There are just a few folks that can make you feel assured after speaking with them. Sang is among that elite group of folks. Quick witted and always forthright, the Augur's counsel is repeatedly sought after amongst the Clan at all levels. Solidifying the Augur's reach and influence throughout the Clan

As his pupil, it is hard not to be biased about the man. Not only is Sanguinius a herculean Professor, his knowledge of history and Star Wars lore strengthens both CNS and the Club. With the amount of members who take courses within Shadow Academy halls, have been positively influenced by him in one way or another.

It is with a great honor that I can express my support of this prestigious award to Augur Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar!! Congratulations Sir you have earned this!

Proconsul Clan Naga Sadow

Sang, the Shadow Academy's super professor! As noted in my 2020 Year in Review report, Sang is one of the SA's top graders in terms of both the amount of exams he grades and the speed at which he grades them. Since his last recognition, he's graded 408 courses within an average of seven hours. To put that in perspective, we ask our professors to grade within 24 hours, and our average as a whole in 2020 was just under 12.

It's also notable that this isn't just a spurt of activity for Sang, but something's he done consistently and at the same level of excellence for the club for years. Since he's joined, he's graded 2,344 exams (well over twice the number anyone else has since the site started tracking), with an average grading time of five hours.

In addition to grading, Sang is helpful in staff discussions and always eager to review course changes at audit time. I've spotted him many times congratulating and encouraging members who are taking courses. He's also very helpful to new members and will go out of his way to bring members who are doing well in the SA to the attention of myself and their unit summits to ensure they're properly recognized and awarded.

This guy definitely deserves a new stabby, and I'm glad to offer my recommendation! :)
