What do you give to a Grand Master who not only has gone beyond the call of his duty to code a GJW submission site when there was no Seneschal to do it but also had to deal with a lot of nasty stuff thrown at him by the membership at large in those eleven weeks? What if that is not the only problem but the situation is complicated by the fact that that Grand Master already owns every one of the large merit medals and a full set of Grand Crosses to boot? The medal system of the Brotherhood does not have an answer for such a case nor is there an alternative in the form of a promotion or other title I would have the authority of giving.<br> <br> Jac Cotelin has for the second time in his long Dark Council tenure been a vital part of the Great Jedi War effort and without him, there would not have been a GJW6 nor - and I believe that was never rewarded - a GJW5. Whatever medal I can recommend will not do this justice, but I can at least try to make the award meaningful.<br> <br> For this reason, I have contacted the Master at Arms with an unusual request - I asked to give a medal that was normally not available for this type of service. But at the same time, the service rendered is fully in the sprit of the medal. Jac Cotelin has achieved his very own victory in a major vendetta by making it happen in the first place. He could have leaned back, possibly even played events, but instead he invested his time into making this vendetta succeed against all the forces that attempted to make it fail. And in giving me the opportunity and support that made this Sixth Great Jedi War a success, Jac has beaten not his fellow Jedi but he has beaten the odds and for that, he is a Champion of the Sixth Great Jedi War just as much if not more than any of the players who have won an event - and this Gold Nova, a medal he probably thought he would be unable to gain in any measurable time, shall stand for the many he could have earned had he chosen to invest the energy he put into improving the Brotherhood into his own gain instead.<br> <br> Jac Cotelin is a Champion in spirit - and for that, this Gold Nova is the visible sign.
