Primary reason

Gui is the type of guy who changes his Name more times than his Order but despite this fact, he has proven to be a valuable asset to the Odan-Urr Summit. Gui has served as Magistrate to the Fist as well as various Clan positions such as Rollmaster, Aedile and is currently the sitting Quaestor of House Guardian Corps giving us, at the time of writing, a combined 15 months of active service in the Summit, but years of service to the Club.

He was very active during his year as Rollmaster in the recruitment and retention of new joins to this Club. He reached out to all avenues to bring people in. He successfully helped 6 of them to JM1, including a sitting Aedile and my current student. He gave us valuable exposure to the outside world and presented us to countless individuals who still may join or reactivate their dossiers.

During his 2 months as Aedile, Gui actively bolstered the Guardians. Working closely with his QUA, they immediately began working on a new storyline and building up the House as well as creating the Guardian Corps wiki. Things happen to us all and while his QUA was needing to deal with life, Gui immediately stepped in to prevent the House from falling into a state of inactivity. He took over producing unit reports and tackled the award review for the House on his own. With the QUA having to step down, this left the Guardians without a leader. Gui immediately applied.

Now it's time to speak of his time as Quaestor. Having been elevated to the position over a month ago, Gui initiated the storyline previously discussed with competitions aimed at both storyline and fictional world-building that used the member’s submissions as the basis for new content. He continued this world-building by proposing and initiating a Discord run-on where the Guardians have to investigate the murder of a high-ranking Vatali noble. Gui also is active on Discord contributing to discussions regularly, producing reports on time, and regularly looking to get members together for SWTOR or Halo.

Since Gui’s last promotion he has earned 1 Sapphire Blade highlighting his attentiveness to his position as Rollmaster as well as his desire to nurture and train the new joins he brought to us. He’s participated in 97 competitions, organized 22, co-organized 3 while earning himself 2 Crescents with Diamond Stars, 5 Crescents with Ruby Stars, 8 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, 5 Crescents with Sapphire Stars, and 1 Crescent with Topaz Star. Gaming wise he has accumulated 8 Pendants of Blood, 624 Clusters of Fire, and 106 Clusters of Earth. Graphically he has 38 Clusters of Graphite. From writing, he has 4366 words of fiction and 17 Clusters of Ice. He also has 1 Dark Side Scroll for being Dec’ 21 Wikipedian of the Month, 3 Scrolls of Indoctrination, 3 Legion of the Scholar, 1 Seal of Loyalty, and 4 Seals of Enmity. He passed 14 Shadow Academy courses, earned 8 degrees, produced 6 reports, and posted 15 news comments.

Gui, or whatever you call yourself these days, I’m proud to see you continuing to move forward and I look forward to seeing what you achieve in not only your House but in this Club. Thank you for your years of dedicated service. Congratulations on this well-earned promotion to Equite 3!

Additional reasons

Gui - or Marl Gondor, as his current name reads - is the sort of member that has kept the Brotherhood going for so many years. I cannot think of a single activity or duty he has accepted, that he has not fully thrown himself into. Within Clan Odan-Urr, he displayed this first with a spectacular tenure as Rollmaster, proving to be both a very active presence in our community and a godsend in welcoming new members.

There's rarely a moment in which he is not taking up some role within the Brotherhood to help matters, no matter the area upon which it focuses or even the basic rank. The latest among these is to serve as the leader of the Guardian Corps as our Quaestor, of which he has gone from strength to strength. Giving it a clear identity, establishing the initial wikia page, rapidly forming potential story ideas, and running out competitions at a rapid pace; he accomplished everything that Quaestor needs to hammer out in record time. As a leader he's proven to constantly drum up new potential ideas at the drop of a hat, help cultivate concepts drawn up by other members, and roll them out into full plans with the efficiency of a machine.

Yet even atop of all that he has done for the Brotherhood in a leadership capacity, he continues to contribute and remain a part of a multitude of its activities. Gaming, art, fictions, and everything in between, he's been a part of all of them. If it's something you've heard of, there's a solid chance that Gui has taken a stab at it. Even then, once it's something he's tried, he'll often stick with it, as shown with his frequent efforts to keep activities in The Old Republic and Halo going. Revak's own suggestion had fully outlined the raw stats of his accomplishments, but one thing should be made clear above all else: Gui is someone who leads by example. If there's an activity, there's a chance he's tried it, doing it, or will help anyone with it however he can.

For all of this, his promotion to Equite 3 is truly well deserved.

Gui's determination in the face of setbacks and unwavering dedication to the member experience and long-term health of our community is nothing short of inspiring. Odan-Urr is truly blessed to have him both as a member and leader on our summit. I have little doubt that his contributions are only just beginning.

Congrats and thank you for everything you do for our community.

It was my pleasure to get to know Gui well during my tenure as Consul of Odan-Urr, where he served on my summit as Rollmaster. Instead of rehashing my words in the Sapphire Blade that he earned a good while back, I'd like to look at the long game and the effects that his work as RM had on the club now that we've all had a chance to see them.

First, his recruitment efforts have led to members who are still to this day with us, actively participating in our community, improving our community, and some are even help running our club. His work as Rollmaster for Odan-Urr made this possible and the fruits of his labors continue to blossom. This is very important to the longevity of a club and vital to our long-term health. I can confidently say that the club is healthier and better for the work he put into the club. Second, his interactions with his fellow Rollmasters or those interested in joining the chat helped spread shared knowledge between the Rollmasters of the club. This did not exist when he took over the job but he made it so. When it comes to interacting with members and improving communities, his work is worthy of respect and admiration and shows just how much he cares about making the friendship bonds that keep this club alive. Lastly, he has always been our little energizer bunny, never given up and always willing to pitch in, which is greatly appreciated and has helped Odan-Urr's positive vibe.

Congratulations on your promotion to Equite 3! I'm very proud of you and look forward to what you get up to next. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping improve our community and helping us bring people together.
