Guess who's back? Back again?

I've dated myself with this reference, but Lan should appreciate it because he, too, is old. Despite being old, Lan returned to the DB and Clan Arcona barely a week ago and has made it is mission to go through every SA exam possible. Thank god for email filters. Lan has been having a regular party (a Lan-party, if you would) with the SA, but also has started to connect with other members to form gaming connections, and has been diligently working on his character sheet and getting caught up on the way of the modern DB!

Beyond those SA exams (43 courses, 9 degrees...I don't think I have close to that many), we're able to account for 10 competitions, a Sapphire Blade, 2 Grand Crosses, 2 Steel Crosses, 2 Anteian Cross (rip Antei), 3 Dark Crosses, 2 Gold Nova, 3 Silver Nova, 2 Bronze Nova, 866 Clusters of Fire, 12 PoBs (rip), and a bunch of scrolls, seals, and crescents.

We also get to account for old-old service as Proconsul, Consul, BTL and... apparently 19 years/ongoing Shadow Academy: Eclectic Pedagogue? Wild.

Anyway, with those powered combined, and Lan's ability to hit the ground running, we're very excited to have him back in the Clan and especially back home in HQD. We look forward to all the fun gaming, writing, and general shenanigans coming up for the future.

It’s a pleasure to be able to add my voice to this recommendation. I first met Lan back when he was al’Lan and I’m so glad to see him back and contributing to Arcona! He is genuinely one of those names that is forever tied to the Shadow Clan for me and having him come back has been a welcomed treat.

And boy, did he come back in style. My inbox has been crushed by his activity, our discord channels have been filled with his name, and he’s been a positive personality in our chats. Lan is an example of how much difference a single person can make and I’m glad we can recognize him so early into his return.

Keep up the excellent work and congrats on the promotion!

I have only recently met Archpriest Lan when they transferred back to the clan recently, and I’m so pleased and honored to have gotten to meet them. It has been amazing to see him immediately engaging the clan with ease, quickly becoming an active figure in our chats. Lan took time to engage fellow gamers in games he likes, proactively sending them invites and encouraging future meet ups that were met with enthusiasm. Speaking of exuberant enthusiasm, Lan noted the mention of how many changes there were, went ‘Hold my drink’, and charged into the Shadow Academy with a fervor. Like Raiju mentioned, the flood of our inboxes has been Beautiful. The proactivity and self-sufficiency in discovering all that is now in our playground is lovely.

I look forward to seeing where your adventures go, Lan, and getting to know you better. Congratulations on your well earned promotion! May the stars guide your path!
