Ellisyn Kendis has been a stalwart member of both Clan Arcona and Taldryan since her last promotion. She is a hugely inspirational member of the Brotherhood, a real joy to talk to and endlessly pushing herself and others to go above and beyond.
Since her last promotion, Ellisyn has participated in a staggering 88 competitions, and co-organised another. A number of Crescents glitter in her medal case; 2 Ruby, 4 Amethyst, 4 Sapphire, 3 Emerald, 3 Topaz, and 1 Quartz. By way of commendations and sacramentals, Ellisyn has received 2 Sapphire Blades (one for each hand, right?), a Steel Cross, an Anteian Cross and a Dark Cross. In addition, she has been prolific in both writing and gaming, receiving a 401 Clusters of Fire (mostly for her love of Pokemon Unite), and 203 Clusters of Ice. I want to explore this last one a little more. Since her last promotion, Ellisyn has written a staggering 78.9k words in a total of 66 Roleplaying sessions. She has DM’ed 6 sessions, and has racked up another 17.9k words therein. She has participated in a phenomenal 76 Fiction Activities—she has jumped two-footed into her writing, and this is something to be recognised and appreciated.
That isn’t the extent of Ellisyn’s activity, however. My inbox has recently been victim to a huge number of Shadow Academy courses that Ellisyn has passed—a total of 44 since her last promotion. She has also gained 12 degrees, demonstrating her learned side.
This activity has meant Ellisyn has flown up the ranks in the various societies in offer within the Brotherhood. She has bumped up 5 ranks in the Aurora Collegium of Sciences, 6 in the Grand Master’s Royal Guard, 4 in the Inquisitorus, 2 in the Shroud Syndicate, 1 in the ACC, 12(!) in the Envoy Corps as a participant, and 6 in the Envoy Corps as an organiser.
Ellisyn also recently helped Clan Arcona’s war effort, gaining 7 Seals of Animosity for her contribution to the GJWXVII: Animus.
It has been an honour to get to know Ellisyn during my reasonably short stint as Quaestor of House Galeres, and I look forward to seeing how she continues on her development in the club. It will, I’m sure, involve a significant amount of Roleplaying, gaming, and helping others along the way—as is her way.
