Primary reason

From Sato:

When I first met Dranik, he was just starting to become active after a long leave of absence. I was therefore not expecting much out of him, as Equites have an unfortunate tendency to become complacent and lazy...needless to say I was happily wrong in his regard.

For sometime, Dranik has served as my "unofficial" right hand, both as Aedile and then later after my appointment to the office of Quaestor of Gladius. He willingly took on the thankless role of Envoy with no complaint and great enthusiasm. His results in guiding the new members of our House was pleasing to me, culmintating in his appointment to Battle Team Leader of the "Soul Whisperer's," the very first circle in Gladius designed to train apprentices.

When the position of Aedile for Gladius opened just recently, I did not hesitate to Co-opt Dranik into that role. As a leader, he does not hesitate to call me out on ideas he thinks are bad, giving voice to his concerns and ideas. This quality combined with his affable personality is exactly what is needed in a Summit position at any level.

For his fidelity, accomplishments, and excellent ardour at both House and Brotherhood levels, I believe that Dranik is more than ready for elevation to Templar with all the honours and glory due to such. Dranik my friend, I challenge you to continue your sterling service with the flair and verve you have demonstrated thus far.

--Battlemaster Sato Bruth'Kothae, Quaestor to Gladius.

From Anshar:

Since I took over as Headmaster, I knew Dranik would play a role in the Shadow Academy. And, he has, and he has been of great help to me. When I needed a new EP for the Safe Computing course, he took the job on. I appointed him initially as special magistrate and he jumped right in to helping me get things done. Dranik was instrumental in the completion of Project: Fictional Reality, especially when it came to creating the SA Order of Battle. Dranik, at that time, also helped maintain the SA site, performing small updates as they were needed (such as, but not limited to, grammatical edits in notes). He coded the character history guidelines for me and he approves and denies character histories whenever he gets to them. When I needed a new Praetor, there was no question that it would be Dranik. He recently coded the Capital Starships exam and he has continued to be vocal with his opinions of and ideas for the Shadow Academy. His advice, support, and hard work are instrumental to my pursuit of improving the Shadow Academy for the benefit of the entire Brotherhood. ~DA Anshar Kahn Tarentae, Headmaster of the Shadow Academy

From myself:

I have watched Dranik's development, quite literally, from Day One. A system error placed Dranik in Tarentum, when he had been recruited by Anshar Kahn while our current Headmaster was in Arcona. That system error would not only give us a new recruit that would become an active Clan member, but also brought to us Anshar Kahn, who would later become Consul and Tarentae. So I suppose at the very first, I have to give credit to Dranik for having recruited Anshar to the Clan.

I also have to give Dranik credit for being able to continually return to activity. There have been hard times in the past for Dranik, as for many of us. There have been instances when I was under the impression that Dranik's days with the Brotherhood were finished, that life simply wouldn't allow him to continue. And yet, Dranik has always been tenacious and (in some ways) stubborn enough to return. He is an example that, when you find something of value, you hold onto it.

Dranik is also someone with care and concern for new members, a trait that has been passed on from Anshar and Spears (I think). Dranik has spent quite some time working in the Shadow Academy. Dranik was first brought into the Shadow Academy during the ill-fated term of Kaiann, but learned how to work and get things done under the watchful eye of the caretaker of the Academy and Kaiann's Praetor, Spears. Dranik continued to work within the Shadow Academy with Spears, and has continued the tradition working under Anshar. Dranik has put forth a great amount of time and effort into seeing the Shadow Academy rise, and I know he has the appreciation of both Spears and Anshar for his hard work and dedication.

Dranik has also been working towards making an impact in Tarentum. He spends time trying to socialize with, and assist the members of the Clan, and now the members of House Gladius, in his role as Aedile. He has tried to take over the duties of House Envoy to assist the Gladius recruits in their efforts to become active and successful. Dranik has also worked to become involved in the Clan on leadership levels, and makes his voice heard when it comes to issues that involve the Clan as a whole. Dranik is a voice for those who do not always step forward to voice themselves, a trait that is often found within Tarentum leaders.

Dranik has spent a great amount of time working to make himself deserving of his next promotion, and I consider him worthy of it, as do my friends and peers, Sato and Anshar. Congratulations, Dranik.
