Lucius and Clan Arcona - it's a continuing love story, and by all means, the inevitable film adaptation will top most of Hollywood's classic romance flicks. He started out with us, he left for CNS, he returned, he left for CNS again, and finally returned once more. And they lived happily ever after... but enough dramatisation already. This little blurb is about his promotion, and how we feel he deserves every last bit of it.

Allow me to elaborate. Lucius is one of the most persistently active, hard-working, and talented members I have seen in Arcona. Since his final return to Arcona in September, he has done practically everything - running and submitting to House/Clan competitions, leading a strong House through times of trouble, coming up with fresh new ideas for communication and fictional development, even occasionally writing.

And gaming, of course. He's been intimately involved with gaming administration for over a year now, and truth be told, he's only gotten better at his job. Of course, it's not my place to reward Lucius for his performance as ICTE Tribune and, most recently, Gaming Tribune, but I feel it deserves a special mention in this recommendation. And then there's his activity as a player... having gathered hundreds upon hundreds of CFs since his last promotion, and indeed since the GJW, he has become not only one of the most prolific, but also one of the most skilled JO/JA players in the Brotherhood, winning the vast majority of his games.

I would also like to thank Lucius for his service as Aedile of Galeres. I know it can be a hard and under-appreciated job, but believe me when I say we're all extremely glad with the way he's performed it over the months. In part, this promotion is because of his Aedile work.

All in all, his enthousiasm, hard work, stellar activity, and talents in many aspects of DB life, make him one of the most important members for Arcona. And don't think we'll let him go that easily again...

I would like to request that Lucius d'Tana be elevated to the rank of Obelisk Prelate, for all the reasons mentioned above, and below my signature. Lucius, many, many congratulations on your promo. You've thoroughly earned it, now it's time to thoroughly enjoy it.

Lucius. Several words come to mind when I think of Lucius. Hard worker. Under appreciated. Exhausting. Loyal. Stubborn. Hard headed. Arconan. That last one pretty much sums it up. Lucius has worked hard since his return to Arcona, and worked hard before he came back. Just because his actions served another Clan does not mean he should not be reocgnized for them. His term as a Templar has been longer then it should be with his skills and abilities. Constantly he has put himself forward to take responsibility, sometimes he is givin it, almost never is he rewarded. But he continues to put himself forward.

I would like to say he has been a hard working Tribune, but it's not my place to reward him for this. I do know that as Aedile he was enthusiatstic and ready to do anything to help Galeres and Arcona. I do know that he would always help a younger member in need, especially regarding gaming. His own skills at representing Arcona at gaming events, between his own 'wtfuberpwange' as he puts it, and his joyful manner, have been a good example for many in the Clan. Sportsmanship and honesty, he'll tell you what your doing to your face, even if you are his boss. He's not afraid of speaking his mind, and frankly the Brotherhood needs more members like him.

He stepped into my service as Aedile when my ineffective and useless former stepped down, and I was not displeased with his actions ever. While he could take more initiative of his own, he spurred me to do more in his own way. If not for Lucius, Galeres wouldn't be as it is now, and that would be a sad loss. The time for him to be elevated to Prelate is at hand. This should be delayed no further, as a leader, a warrior, and an Arconan, he has more then earned his right.

I don’t really know where to start with this, as there are so many things to say...I will try to illustrate what Lucius has done, but I already know that I will fall short in my task. A lot of things are too small to mention and taken in isolation those action would hardly even be worth a second mention, but together they form a picture of a man that worked hard to find himself where is now. A man that worked hard to keep Galeres and ultimately Arcona, together and working as a team.

Lucius was my Aedile while I was the Battleteam Leader for Soulfire, he was Aedile when I was Quaestor, and again he was my Aedile when I rejoined Arcona. He has become the solid figure that is always there, always around, ready to help, ready to answer questions, give advice, or give his input. The one thing I’ve appreciated the most about him, is that he doesn’t really care if his opinion flies straight in your face, he will give it because he believes in honesty. He believes in being true to himself, to Galeres and to Arcona.

He is the kind of leader that will lose out on sleep just to finish what he’s working on, he’ll do anything he can to help you solve a problem. He looks at situations from a different angle and gives you a completely new perspective on things. That is truly a rare quality in any leader, and a very valuable one.

After the 6th GJW, Lucius joined Galeres, ‘coming home’ so to speak. He received a Sapphire Blade for his efforts in that War and although that is a suitable reward, I will include those accomplishments in this recommendation, since I truly believe that he was due far more than he received.

Since his promotion to Obelisk Templar, Lucius has been awarded 632 Clusters of Fire, two Amethyst Crescents, a Dark Side Scroll, two Legions of the Scholar, two Bronze, three Silver and two Gold Novae as well as a Sapphire Blade. He also received two Dark Crosses, two Anteian Crosses and a Steel Cross. In this time Lucius resigned as ICTE Tribune and took up the reigns as the Dark Jedi Brotherhood’s Gaming Tribune, a job he has so far been exemplary in.

Luc is an extremely valuable member of Galeres and of Arcona, the time and effort he puts into keeping everything running smoothly is more than most leaders do and that is all we can ask really, ‘just do a little more than your job and everything will be great’.

For all that he has done, for all that he has accomplished, I truly believe he is worthy of this promotion.
