Primary reason

Karel Tarentae: Where does one start? Faithless devotion to the Clan, working his pants off for the DB in the way of hosting ICTE and all the hallmarks of a leader in the making. As a member his record is exemplary, most of the SA courses nailed, a trouser-tenting amount of CFs and the following misc amount of other medals: • 4 Legions of the Scholar • 1 SC • 1 SB • 1 SoL • 13 misc Crescents • 11 Seals • 1 Gold Nova • 4 Pendants of Blood and not to mention his stirling efforts as T:ICTE. His participation on a Clan and House level is also exemplary participating in most of the House/Clan comps ran since Archean and myself ascended to summit, being given the honour of Tarentae, coupled with his 169 RoS points shows his dedication and loyalty for the Clan and the club.

Karel is, without a doubt, one of the most active people we have not only in Tarentum, but in the Brotherhood as a whole.

Some time ago, Grand Master Sarin saw fit to recognize Karel with a Sapphire Blade for his contributions in helping to coordinate and administrate both the ICTE and the ORW3 for the DB. This says a lot about Karel as a leader. What it doesn’t recognize, though, is the contributions Karel also made participating in these competitions. In both of these competitions, Karel not only helped lead the DB’s efforts through coordination and news posts, and all that we would expect from a leader, but he also participated in these events. Karel has an obscene amount of Clusters of Fire; 1,615 as of today, June 10. Since his return to Tridens, the amount of Clusters of Fire he has received as nearly impossible for me to count, unless I spend the next few hours counting them line-by-line. Suffice it to say, if you look at his medal/reward history outline, since his return to Tridens as of January 1, 2007, you can scroll quite a way through the records of his activity.

During the Rite of Supremacy, Karel was one of the most active gamers from Tarentum, and had basically secured his victory in Jedi Outcast single player early on. Karel noticed problems with the rules of the RoS, and brought them to my attention, and to others’ attention, very early on. He is not someone who just “games to game.” He has fun doing this, but he also wants to assure that others can and will have fun, especially taking note of the rules, how things run, how well it all melds together. He is an intelligent person, and has a great deal of understanding and experience to donate to this organization, and does so.

Since receiving his Sapphire Blade two months ago, Karel continues to be an active participant in DB gaming as a member, but also in running the ICTE. He continues to be an active member in Tarentum, and was recently honoured with the Clan name to acknowledge the work and dedication he has to our Clan. He is more than willing to assist members with their gaming needs, and in helping to either train them to play better, or help them find others who will assist their training. Karel has a great attitude, and helps to keep the atmosphere of Tarentum as a Clan, and #tarentum as a channel, enjoyable for all of us.

Without a doubt, Karel has spent a great deal of time as a Warrior (nearly six months), and is more than ready to be advanced to the rank of Battlemaster. I can say with certainty that he is ready, his House Summits can also verify his worth and readiness, and I would ask for his promotion to be considered seriously, and for any other questions to be addressed to Grand Master Sarin, who will no doubt understand and value his efforts both as a member, and as the ICTE Tribune.

Karel, congratulations for this accomplishment, and you have the appreciation of your entire Clan for all of your work and what you bring to Tarentum. Thank you very much.
