Primary reason

So we've actually come to this point, have we? Where do I begin?

Tarax was appointed to Aedile of House Dinaari on October 1st, 2007... just a week prior to that date I was taking applications for my lieutenant. It was perhaps the most difficult decision I have made in the six years I have been involved with the EH/DJB but it also turned out to be the best one I've made thus far. Tarax has surpassed my expectations time and time again while serving as Dinaari's Aedile for the past four and a half months. He has released a fully detailed report every fortnight while pumping out competitions virtually every month. In addition to his Aedile duties he has assisted me with my Envoy duties by helping out new members to the House as well as various other administrative tasks. His presence on Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is very high and he is always sending out e-mails along with posting on the forums on a fairly consistent basis.

He has gamed, participated in the Antei Combat Chamber (ACC), ran and participated in several competitions, and overall he has been a tremendous asset to not only House Dinaari and Clan Taldryan, but the Brotherhood as whole while serving as Magistrate to the Grand Master - I'm sure someone else can go into the specifics of his work in that particular position. Overall, what more can I say? He has made my job as Quaestor and Envoy so much easier and better and is no doubt a reason why I'm still Quaestor as he makes the job a little bit more enjoyable. It has been well over a year since he was promoted to Obelisk Templar so my words don't even cover half of what he has done since his entrance into the Equite ranks. There have been at least two Vendettas since Tarax's last promotion so no doubt he has helped Taldryan retain our title of First Clan of the Brotherhood and I'm sure he'll keep helping us retain it for as long as possible. This core member of Clan Taldryan is more than deserving of this promotion to Obelisk Prelate.

Congratulations, Pole ... you earned this one.

Templar Vladet Xavier Quaestor, Dinaari of Taldryan Right Hand of Justice - CoJ

Nite, er, Tarax has been a long-term member of Clan Taldryan now, going back to October of 2005. In his time here he has participated in all the Vendettas that came up, gaming in many events and the fierce team matches within the Clan, contributed to the Clan newsletter, and made IRC conversations a bit more colorful. It's been fifteen months since his last promotion, about time we honor that.

Going just a bit beyond all that already said by others, Tarax has participated well in the last two Vendetta events, earned seven Crescents from the countless competitions he's been in, and now served well as Aedile of House Dinaari for four and a half months. I had no doubt he would be able to take on the position well and continue to push Dinaari to be the House it should be. Personally he has ran four competitions for the House, filed ten reports, and worked hand-in-hand with Vlad to help new members become part of the Clan and Brotherhood. Tarax is a very active leader and member of the Clan and has shown his loyalty to the group time and time again, I really appreciate that.

It is an honor to recommend a promotion to the rank of Obelisk Prelate for Tarax. Congratulations on a job well done, back to work!

For Taldryan,

Obelisk Primarch Duga Taldrya Arkarso Consul and Son of Clan Taldryan Planetary Viceroy of Kaltace, Regent of the Kr'Tal System

I have gone through a handful of Magistrates in the past year due to inactivity or an inability to accomplish tasks. When I appointed Tarax as a replacement to my last group of magistrates, I really did not expect him to be any different. However, Tarax has proven himself to be capable of finishing projects on time and in most cases, early. In the past several months Tarax has tracked the reporting of DB Clans and Houses, read hundreds of wiki articles to find ones that needed editing, and he transferred 155 Force powers from an XLS document to a word document. His efforts have saved me 20-30 hours and have been an enormous benefit to the Dark Brotherhood. Tarax has ensured units leaders are doing their duties, writers are staying within our set boundaries, and a project that will impact the entire DB is finished on time.

Congrats Tarax, this promotion is well deserved.
