Vega has been fairly active since joining the Brotherhood and as a result has satisfied the requirements for the rank of Acolyte.

He has (1) passed the Brotherhood Basics exam at the Shadow Academy; (2) passed an additional two Shadow Academy courses for three total; (3) been on IRC in Taldryan's channel; and (4) successfully registered for an account on the DB forums.
