James Roberts-Brannigan completed his requirements for the rank of Guardian on July 1st this year, only nineteen days ago. To bypass the time requirement for his rank advancement, he created and developed a wiki page for permanent opponent to House Revan - Solomon Ashe, an NPC who will be integrated into House events and history.
He passed the Leadership Fundamentals exam and has completed a well-developed 5-page character fiction that brings his character's history up to the present and offers a glimpse of the history that James has created. He's earned multiple crescents throughout his time in the Brotherhood so far, including first-place finishes in [FIST] Alien Swarm and [VOICE] I Love Re-runs. He's been involved in a number of competitions in the month since he's joined, participating in the House competitions on three occasions (Revan Trivia Ladder, [Revan] Trivia Ladder II, and [Revan]), staying involved in five gaming competitions ([FIST] Alien Swarm, [FIST] Bag Em and Tag Em 2, [FIST] BF2 CTF, [FIST] JA Smash, and [FIST] Beat up the Fist's Magistrate), and working with the written word in several other competitions ([VOICE] Extraction, [VOICE] I Love Re-Runs, and Shards of a Lingering Darkness). He's earned a total of 81 Clusters of Fire since joining - pushing him forward through the ranks of the GMRG and proving him to be a very formidable opponent in game.
He's been an active member of the IRC channel and is routinely present on the forums, especially while he's working on participating in the Shards of a Lingering Darkness RO. As these requirements fulfill all the prerequisites for the rank of Jedi Hunter, I submit this recommendation that he be awarded the rank he has worked so diligently to obtain.
Beyond the requirements is an interested, talented member of the House who has been involved from the start. I rarely go a day without hearing from James, whether it's a request for more rounds of Republic Commando or clarification about something that he's found on the Wiki. He's stepped ably into the position of Aedile for the House as a willing participant in all the behind-the-scenes action that goes on in the House. I am incredibly proud to have James named as my first fictional apprentice in this club, but it should be apparent that I have learned quite a bit from him as well. His perspective and willingness to share that perspective has been an incredible asset as the Houes continues to work ahead towards a brilliant future.
Congratulations, James. You've earned this rank and committed yourself to being a part of the House and building it up to the potential that you see in it. I want to encourage you to two things: earn Dark Jedi Knight in spades, and take the time that you need to reach that point. Take pride in crafting the absolute best work that you can - if I can harp on the word "potential," I will, not in a sense of the need to achieve more, but to understand what is merely "getting by" and doing work that you'll be proud to stand beside. You're doing awesome - it's such a pleasure to be a part of your progress in this club. As Callus told me when I was at this point, "Now you get to start the fun part!" Enjoy it.
