Revak Kur has continued to be a driving force for Odan-Urr. Since his last promotion to EQ3, he has racked up 54 organized competitions, 197 participated competitions, 5 PvP matches, 90 PvE activities, 15 Fiction Activities, 13,209 words of fiction, 2 Run On posts worth 1157 words, passed 33 Shadow Academy courses, gained 11 Shadow Academy degrees, and created 13 newsposts. He has also served Odan-Urr as Quaestor for 10 months, Appeals Panelist for almost 1 year, and Proconsul for 6 months. While engaging in these activities he has accumulated the following: 2 Amethyst Kukris, 7 Crescents with Amethyst Star, 14 Crescents with Sapphire Star, 6 Crescents with Emerald Star, 4 Crescents with Topaz Star, 1 Crescent with Quartz Star, 2 Pendants of Blood, 99 Clusters of Fire, 35 Clusters of Ice, 345 Clusters of Earth, 106 Clusters of Graphite, 2 Seals of Loyalty, and 27 Seal of Visions. I will delve a bit further into his AKs.

For his first Amethyst Kukri, he tallied up an impressive amount of activity for the club, was an excellent Quaestor for House Sunrider, was one of our most prolific community event hosters and attendees, developed a key leadership guide on activity assessments, and did a lot of work on the reorganization of our clan possessions to mention the highlights. For more details the full recc is here.

For his second Amethyst Kukri, he again tallied up an impressive amount of activity for the club, ran a House event (with fictions!) for Sunrider, has been an excellent Proconsul for Odan-urr, created a leadership guide for trello, published an updated Odan-Urr Novice Guide (helps explain our fiction), overhauled our incident reporting system, was one of our most prolific community event hosters and attendees, helped create the COU Holiday card, served ably on the Appeals Panel for the Justicar, and was my right hand man in the execution of Odan-Urr’s clan vs. clan feud with Plagueis. For more details the full recc is here.

For all the above, I recommend that Revak Kur be promoted to the rank of Equite 4! I know I say this a lot but thank you so much for the time and effort that you put into Odan-Urr. You’ve been an amazing Proconsul, Quaestor, and friend. I couldn’t imagine Odan-Urr without you. I’m excited to see what you get up to next. Congratulations and welcome to the highest of Equites!

Additional reasons

For as long as I’ve known Revak Kur, he’s been a huge factor in driving the work of this Clan forward. Always ready and eager to help, always patient, and always determined to see Odanites reach their maximum potential. Revak Kur is a friend and mentor to myself and others within Clan Odan-Urr, so for those reasons, and all those listed above, I also recommend this well-earned promotion.

Raider Jon Silvon, 2021-05-04 23:11:37 UTC

What can I say about Revak the Guide guy? To put it simply, he's awesome. Since coming out of Rogues a long while ago. I have always been able to talk with Revak, always been able to lean on him and ask advice. He has always been a welcoming friend, an open ear, and a passionate Odanite. He loves his Clan and desires only to do what's right by the people that call COU home. He is dedicated, loyal, a hard worker and fair. If anyone is deserving of this elevation, it's him.

Aurora "Aura" Ta'var, 2021-05-04 23:11:55 UTC

Although Sunrider existed before Revak, the unit as it exists today is largely his work. Partly that's because of the year-and-a-half-long series of events and fictions he released under the Vatali Unsettled banner, but mostly it's because he has served as the backbone of the community. Even after leaving the house to take the PCON position, Revak has remained one of the most consistent people in chat, both on Telegram and Discord, and one of the go-to organizers for COU event weekends. Sunrider, born from a house merger during a time of great turnover in COU's membership, did not come into being with a strong community culture. It took months of summit-enabled group activities to get things to gel, and we have Revak to thank for most of the legwork it took to make that happen.

Revak and I barely overlapped in our previous times in COU—I think I mostly knew him as "the shuttles guy." But I'm very glad he came back to us and that I've have the chance to work with him on the summit. Congratulations, and welcome to the EQ4 club!

I've worked closely with Revak on a number of occasions, from Battleteam leader back in the day to Proconsul more recently, and his insight and experience have proven invaluable in our work together. From the outside looking in he is a driving force for the Clan, promoting competitions, events, weekly Clan activities such as gaming a fiction writing, driving the gears that make COU one of the top Cĺans in the DB today; and he is constantly pushing and encouraging members to be the best they can be and have fun while doing it. Privately he is a great friend and confidant in any situation, especially when it comes to Clan leadership matters. His advice and opinions have never proven poor and I'm proud to have advocated for his appointment to Proconsul in my stead. As someone who has worked in higher tier positions, who has handled Consul promotions and Proconsul recommendations before, and knows what it looks like when a great Clan leader leads for the right reasons - so the members of our Clan and club have plenty of diverse and enjoyable activities to do and, most importantly, so that they have fun in their time with us - I could not write this recommendation quicker. I believe Revak's promotion is somewhat overdo, but I guess this'll have to do. Congratulations, my friend, this is well and truly earned.

This promotion was only hard for me because I had to try and make sure I wasn’t being biased, because I see all the hard great work that Atra does on behalf of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood every day. Since joining the ranks of the Elders atra has served primarily as Regent, where he among other things helped me relax and let go and realize it was in good hands. As Regent he continued to move forward a series of projects that I find important to the full vision and experience of the system I hope to see done while I’m still involved, and has been involved in discussions at the highest level on the future of the DJB.

I expect we will continue to see more from Atra in the coming days, though hopefully not too much on the Justicar front. Congratulations on earning the rank of Master Atra, you truly are one.

Lord Evio Nezsa, 2021-05-04 15:53:38 UTC
Additional reasons

In his two-and-a-half years as an Adept, Atra has served this club at the highest level with a rare combination of competence and dedication. He organized two major non-vendetta competitions as Regent, Brotherhood Rising and the Tenixir Prison Break, and aided the rest of the Dark Council in running GJWs XIII and XIV, including as a major contributor to the DB Story Group. He also served as a DC supervisor in a clan feud between Plagueis and Vizsla. Before all of that, though, he served as Combat Master, Mav’s Praetor, and as one of the primary founding members of Clan Vizsla.

After two very successful years as Regent, he has stepped into a critical new role as Justicar. Although his time in the Chamber of Justice has been short, he has jumped into the job headfirst and dealt with several matters, both recurring and new, with his typical care and attention to detail. Evant and I both routinely seek his advice on matters of club-wide concern, and he regularly volunteers to take on projects outside the usual ambit of the Justicar (and Regent before that). In short, Atra has and continues to make a lasting, positive impact on nearly every aspect of this club. I am honored to join the Grand Master in recognizing his service with this promotion to Master.

When Seraphol’s name, or I guess Takota Okami’s name, was brought to me as a possible Elder I immediately began to recall his time as Headmaster when he worked alongside me on the Dark Council. I always recalled his steady work ethic and willingness to jump in and support any Dark Councilor that needed it. It’s almost hard to quantify all the little things a productive and eager Dark Council member can accomplish if they try but Seraphol touched many different projects over his years as Headmaster. Which included setting the foundation for the fictional identity during a re-alignment of the societies that benefit the office today.

It’s hard to really gauge the career accomplishments of someone who has been part of this community for 20 years. Not only because the site throws errors when you go too far back before the modern iteration, but just because so much has happened and changed. Seraphol has participated in hundreds of competitions with many of us, organized a fair share to the membership’s benefit as well, served as a leader in various capacities within his Clans, and most recently had an opportunity to step up into the Dark Council as a leader.

When taking all these accomplishments together, it was clear to me that Seraphol had indeed earned the rank of Elder. For all your hard work you’ve definitely earned this promotion into the Elder ranks. Congratulations Seraphol.

Lord Evio Nezsa, 2021-05-04 15:53:43 UTC
Additional reasons

Seraphol served two years as Headmaster, during which time he successfully guided the Shadow Academy through an audit, reworked the fictional basis for the Shadow Academy Society, and laid the groundwork for the introduction of many new courses. As part of the Dark Council, he helped organize Rite of Supremacy: Meridian and GJW XIII, and provided DC oversight to a clan feud between Plagueis and Vizsla. Since stepping down from Headmaster, he has maintained a high level of activity in Clan Odan-Urr, organizing or participating in dozens of competitions.

Often, retired Dark Councillors fade into inactivity at least for a time. Seraphol has not done that. Instead, he has kept up his pace of activity and continued creating content for members to enjoy. This is what we expect of our elders. Congratulations, Sera!

Lord Dacien Victae, 2021-05-04 04:06:50 UTC

It is my absolute pleasure to recognize the amazing work that Takota Okami aka Seraphol has done for Odan-Urr. His service to the clan includes 11 months as a BTL for 3 separate tours (Knights of Allusis x2, Wildcards), 22 days as Rollmaster, 6 months as the Aedile of Satele Shan, 8 months as the Quaestor of Hoth, and of course a regular member.

His impact on the clan has been felt in many ways. First, as an Odanite he has participated in 5 major DB events for the clan, racking up 49 seals. These big events are huge for clans and he consistently showed up and put up points, which was greatly appreciated. Second, he provided Odanites with plenty to do in the form of competitions, whether it be organized events or standalone competitions. Of note he organized 6 events, which break down into 4 Clan-level events, 1 House-level event, and 1 BT-level event. The BT event established the beginnings of our new battleteam called Wildcards as well as lore to build off of. The House event built more lore to further flush out our old planet called New Tython. For the clan events, he hosted two of our anniversary events, one holiday event, and an internal dark versus light event. The anniversary events were special for Odan-Urr because we got to celebrate how far we had come and remember some of our past. It also did an excellent job bringing people together who might otherwise have been quiet. Similarly, the holiday event he hosted allowed everyone to come together, air grievances in a fun way, and explore the ancient traditions of Mandalorians. This last part is important because Odan-Urr was exploring mandalorian themes and this introduced them to the full membership of Odan-Urr. This leaves the internal dark versus light event, which progressed Odan-Urr’s story, tested where our members currently stood, and gave everyone an opportunity to have a lot of fun.

Third, he was the founding leader of the Odan-Urr House called Hoth, during which among many things he established its foundations and led the creation of its starting lore. Of note, this included the Founding of Ft. Pernicar, which was created as the homestead of House Hoth and Flora/Fauna Series: The Predators. Fourth, he has always taken a keen interest in the development of younger leaders. He mentored Battleteam Sergeants, future BTLs, and future AEDs/QUAs. Some of these would one day have the confidence to take on other clan positions in the future like RM and PCON. Fifth, he recruited new blood to the clan and took on the challenges of Masterhood, guiding 3 Odanite apprentices to Knight. Sixth, he was around to provide advice and feedback when others needed it. Of note this included feedback on the original design of Satele Shan’s planet and jumping in to grab a House event at the last minute.

For all these efforts and more not listed, he was awarded 5 Seals of Loyalty from Odan-Urr. A career as long as his in the club or even just Clan contributions can be hard to put into words but what remains quite clearly is the impact and mark that he has had on others. Ever since he joined Odan-Urr all those years ago, he has been around to help one way or another. From battleteams to Houses to advice to Consuls, he has helped shape the path and development of Odan-Urr. In particular, I’ve always admired his willingness to help wherever he was needed, regardless of his position or affiliation. I think his impact is best shown though through some statements from his old awards. :)

  • Liam Torun-Urr said “Members like Seraphol are why I believe in a Light Path, in Jedi Orders, and in the legitimate possibility of a Light Side Clan.”
  • A'lora Kituri said “In doing so, he bore the challenge of building a full-fledged House from the ground-up, leaving behind a solid foundation for the next to take on the mantle.”
  • Alethia Archenksova said “The cast of SNL used to call Phil Hartman "the glue" because of his ability to hold both the cast and individual sketches together. That's basically how I view Takota/Seraphol. He goes where he's needed, he does what needs doing, and then he moves along when someone else is ready to step up.”
  • Len Iode said “He took me under his wing and not only began helping me with tips and tricks for Battle Team Leader, but also preparing me for the day I became Aedile.”
  • Edgar Drachen said “It's amazing to see how much dedication he is showing to this new team and all of the members of the house.”
  • Turel Sorenn said “Seraphol is the living embodiment of "lead from the front." He is the closest COU has to a mascot, rallying the membership and charging toward the sound of the guns no matter what we have in front of us.”
  • V’yr Vorsa said “His contribution in the latest Great Jedi War Homefront saw him encouraging new and older members through Telegram to participate and push the Clan further up the ladder.”

Takota, aka Seraphol, on behalf of Odan-Urr past and present, thank you for all the time and effort you’ve put into Odan-Urr. I wasn’t around for all of the history but I greatly respect what you’ve put into the Clan. Congratulations on your promotion to Elder 1!!

Primary reason

I set out to understand more of what Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar has accomplished when his name was pitched as a possible Elder. Being around this long you get a sense of what everyone is up to but you can start to ask questions and look closer and in this case, it became clear his impact on the entire DJB, and that Sang was ready to join the ranks of Elders.

I started by digging into his five sacramental medals he has earned, for great leadership as a Consul in Arcona, great leadership in Clan Naga Sadow helping to produce multi-Clan level events, as well as work as a mentor to train new members to Knighthood, and years of stray work supporting the Shadow Academy in reviewing and grading the work there.

Sang has left a mark on multiple Clans, as well as hundreds of members through his support of the Shadow Academy, and has remained an active force within the Brotherhood for years.

Congratulations on reaching the ranks of Elders Sang, you have definitely earned it.

Lord Evio Nezsa, 2021-05-04 15:53:46 UTC
Additional reasons

Sang is a legend in this club. Few, if any, members have served as successfully at every level of clan leadership and remained actively engaged in the wider DB on various DC staffs over so many years as Sang has. His Shadow Academy service, in particular, deserves special recognition. He was a prolific professor when I was Headmaster over six years ago and he hasn’t slowed down since then. In fact, he has now graded more exams than any member in the history of the club by a wide margin -- more than twice as many as the next person in line.

His Emerald Dagger recommendation sums Sang up well: he is a tireless creator and participator. He does his work without seeking reward. He does it because he enjoys doing it and wants to make this club a better place for all members. There is no doubt that Sang has earned admission to the ranks of the Elders. Congratulations, Sang!

Lord Dacien Victae, 2021-05-04 04:05:05 UTC

If I am to be frank, writing a recommendation in support of this promotion is a bit of a hard task. That is not because of a lack of ways or reasons to pray our former Consul. Rather now, it is because I find it difficult to capture the full breadth and impact of Sang on Clan Naga Sadow and the greater Brotherhood. So much of it just seems to be "Sang being Sang." Despite his occasional grumbling, Sang is a man of heart. I know some folks may act as though being "all heart" is bad but Sang truly demonstrates a heart for people and community.

When he lead our Clan he did so out of a sense of duty, and he wanted the best for the Clan. When it seemed as though a direction our Clan was going in did not quite vibe with our members, Sang examined how we could adjust our course. When he was a Quaestor he enabled his House to be the best that they could be- such as helping to train up new leaders, playing an intimate part in their personal growth as leaders within our club. As a Proconsul, he worked with the Consul and Summit to ensure we best served our members. Again and again he acted as a friend and mentor to a young Journeyman Bentre and even today he continues to give me sound advice and feedback if I ask it, or as I seem to need it.

When morale was low, Sang tries to find a way for us to march forward and work with the members to resolve the standing issues. When engagement was low in the past and he and I were a CON/PCON team, at his direction we worked to try to piece out how to recapture our spark and to drive home a better member experience.

Be it as Summit or member, he continually engaged in ways either large or small with our clanfolk. We are richer for his presence in Clan Naga Sadow.

In the past Sanguinius has acted as a counselor to keep the peace and enabled House leadership to make a greater impact on our Clan's narrative from their own corners. Well-liked even today, Sang has constantly shown an interest in the greater good of the Clan. Sang has also served as a sounding board to my Proconsul as well and has helped to refine some ideas for future story developments. A pretty positive element in our Clan, Sang has also pushed gaming in our Clan, offering to play Heroes of the Storm with folks in the club at large and furthering feelings of camaraderie through a combination of group activity and friendly repartee with members in Telegram chats and in Discord. Sang is also unafraid to challenge the status quo or the assumptions of members of the Clan, offering valuable insight which has helped to further refine elements of our Clan narrative and direction.

All this said, I want to raise my voice in support of Sang, as my clan-brother, as my fellow Sadow and as a friend to both me and all Sadowans.

Congratulations my friend! Well done.

Bentre Sadow Consul

Master Bentre Stahoes, 2021-05-04 04:06:05 UTC

Sanguinius is one of the most recognisable members of our Clan, both in terms of activity and as someone who steps up and works hard with others. Sadly I missed his term as Consul of our Clan due to being rogue but since I came back I've come to respect him as one of the most active and hard working members I've met in the Brotherhood.

His ongoing level of activity in competitions and gaming and marking endless Shadow Academy exams is extremily visible and has been mentioned many, many times in this and previous recommendations for his amazing sacramental medal collection, and I do need to go into futher details about it here.

However from a personal perspective when I needed an Aedile to help me as Quaestor in Shar Dakhan he made himself available. Since then I've had the pleasure to work with him. He has always struck me as a pleasant, calm and helpful individual who gives support, feedback and advice when needed and is greatly supportive of his fellow members. For example he is frequently seen encouraging others to take up gaming and activity and is a driving force behind how much stronger our Clan is in this area than I ever remember it to be.

For all his endless activity, hard work and support of others I do not think there is any doubt he deserves the rank of Elder.

When looking at possible promotions, Xen’s promotion to Master (Elder 2) was the easiest. It has been over 5 years since his promotion to Elder, though it seems like yesterday, and he has accomplished so much since that I won’t have to oversell it. 3 sacramental medals, 2 years as a Consul and leader to Clan Scholae Palatinae, Magistrate to the Regent, Magistrate to the Voice, Magistrate to the Herald, as well as Praetor to the Herald, a supporter of Clan Vizsla in its founding and a leader, and now most recently a term as Voice, and Dark Councilor, impacting the membership at the highest levels. You can dig in all you want, the work is there, he’s earned Elder 2. Congratulations on Master Xen, you’ve earned it!

Few members have done as much in their entire DB careers as Xen has done since his promotion to Adept five years ago. He's packed in two years as a Consul, a full term as Praetor to the Herald, and about a year-and-a-half as Voice. In that time, he has been a prolific content creator, churning out high quality artwork, writing official fictions, and helping to plan and organize two vendettas and other major competitions. This promotion has been a long time coming, and I'm not sure anyone has ever deserved it more. Congratulations, Xen!

22 years with the club. That is quite a lot in review. 18 years of that period are what I hope to cover in this rec. As I was reviewing over Raistlin's dossier in preparation for this recommendation, I was struck by how wide the breadth of Raistlin's activity/contributions have been.

When you look at some of the traditional metrics, you see things like how he organized a competition for then-Battle-team Ludo Kressh in 2010 or the 113 non-container competitions that Raistlin has participated in since his last promotion.

Raist's activities also including gaming and fiction, as an example of some of the competition activity he has undertaken. This member has engaged in 12 PVP matches, taken part in 31 PVE activities, written 3728 words for 11 fiction activities, has written another 2441 words over 4 RO posts and has engaged in 13 individual competitions which awarded Clusters of Graphite. Now one might wonder how many Clusters of Graphite? Well, let's count up the Clusters from gaming, writing and art'ing.

Raistlin Sadow has earned 623 Clusters of Fire for PVP, 134 Clusters of Earth for PVE activities, 26 Clusters of Ice for fiction pursuits and 42 Clusters of Graphite for artistic competition entries. I think that is all pretty awesome! I would be rather remiss if I didn't also point out that Raistlin has also earned 27 Pendants of Blood for achievements in Destiny, Star Wars Battlefront, Destiny 2, Overwatch, Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Diablo 3. He also has spent some time in the Shadow Academy. Over his time since his last promotion, Raistlin has taken a frankly jaw-dropping 76 SA courses and has earned 10 degrees from the institution. As an aside, he also earned 3 Legions of the Scholar by placing in Trivia comps over the years.

Personal activity is also not the only way that Raistlin has contributed to our Dark Brotherhood. As a matter of fact, I was surprised to realize that before my joining that Raistlin had served as an Aedile for House Ludo Kressh for two terms in 2005 and 2010 which amounted to 9 months combined in the seat. He has also served as a Praetor to the Obelisk High Commander between February 18th and September 10th of 2005 - or seven months. Following this period, Raistlin then served as a Magistrate to the same office between September 10th of 2015 and January 25th of 2016 - or five months.

Raistlin Sadow has been recognized over the years by several awards. He has recieved 2 Grand Crosses- one for contributions to his Clan Naga Sadow in 2005 and one in 2007 for contributions to the 7th Great Jedi War. Raist also has earned 4 Steel Crosses: for overal activity in 2020; for Phase 1 of the Dark Crusade in 2013; for activity and contributions to a Rite of Supremacy in 2010; and for strength of character and motivation of our Clan in 2005. He also has gathered up 6 Anteian Crosses: one for his contributions to the "Vampyre's Fold" RO in 2003; for activity and counsel to the Clan summit in 2004; returning to the Clan to assist in a Rite of Supremacy in 2007; his activity in the Disorder Vendetta; for his outstanding performance in Great Jedi War X in 2011; and finally for his returning to form to assist Clan Naga Sadow again in 2015 in a storm of activity. A high presence in IRC, activity, and contributions to the first Sadow Chronicle earned Raistlin another 2 awards in the form of Dark Crosses in 2003 and 2005.

Since those awards touched upon Wars, Rites and Vendettas, I suppose now is a good point to discuss the things that come of those sorts of events. (Besides the well-earned awards already mentioned of course!) He received a 3 Gold Novae: one for placing first in a Run On section in the Krath Rite of Supremacy, one for helping his Clan place first in the 8th Great Jedi war RO event, and one for taking 1st place in the "Orders" RO event in the 9th War. He also earned 3 Silver Novae: two for the Great Jedi War ACC in 2007 and one for taking a 2nd Place in a Dark Crusades gaming competition. He also earned seven Bronze Novae: for placing 3rd in the cooperative ACC section of Chapter One of the Krath Rite of Supremacy in 2005; for placing 3rd in the Chapter 3 fiction section of the Krath Rite of Supremacy; for placing 3rd in second half of Great Jedi War ACC in 2007; for placing in the Great Jedi War X debate for week 0 of the event; and for placing in a Dark Crusade wiki competition.

Besides these Novae, Raistlin has also gathered up a veritable trophy case of Seals from Vendettas. He has earned 2 Seals of Memories, 5 Seals of Retribution, a Seal of Conquest, a Seal of Darkness, 6 Seals of Pain, 2 Seals of Unity, 10 Seals of Bone, 5 Seals of Defiance, 10 Seals of Decimation, 16 Seals of the Crusader and most recently 19 Seals of Visions for his contributions to the Clan War Effort in Great Jedi War XIV: Homefront. Also worth noting he earned a Seal of Loyalty back in 2015 when Grand Master Pravus recognized our membership to their contributions to the long-life of our Star Wars fan club. Beyond Vendetta activity and club holiday recognitions Raistlin has still brought home some shinies to add to the aforementioned trophy case. In the time since his last promotion, Raistlin has also brought home 5 Crescents with a Ruby Star, 6 Crescents with Amethyst Star, 6 Crescents with a Sapphire Star, 3 Crescents with an Emerald Star, a Crescent with a Topaz Star and 2 Crescents with a Quartz Star. If I have my math right, and I think that I do, this means that Raistlin has placed in 3/10 of the competitions that he has placed in.

I think, when you consider all of the above you can see that Raistlin Sadow has certainly contributed to the history of Clan Naga Sadow. Looking over the history, it is clear that Raistlin has helped to strengthen and enrich our Clan with the Brotherhood. I think looking at the service he paid to the Obelisk High Commander and reading through the recommendations of awards past it is quite clear that Raistlin has made some contributions to the larger Dark Jedi Brotherhood. As such, I want to raise up this member for consideration. I could throw out some pretty words, but I think that Raistlin is in part a member for whom his actions speak quite well for themselves.

I think that it is time that we recognize what you have done, what you have accomplished and thus I want to raise my voice in both recommending Raistlin for the rank of Equite 4 and in congratulating our latest Augur in Clan Naga Sadow.

Raistlin Sadow was one of the members who has been active and visible since long before I joined the Dark Brotherhood and I remember him as our House's Aedile when I started out as a new member. He has always been an active member who took part when he was able to and has always been someone who reinforces what a good active member should be, both taking part for himself and his Clan and setting a good example attitude wise. For all of the above he is highly valued.

His incredibly impressive medal and cluster collection speaks volumes about his long activity. Since his last promotion he has earned two GCs, 4 SCs, 6 ACs and 2 DCs. There are just the merit medals though. His eleven Novas, twenty three crescents, twenty seven Pendants of Blood, seven hundred and ninety-nine clusters, and seventy seven vendetta seals speaks of a member who you can rely on to take part and set a good example whenever a competition or vendetta appears. For someone who was already an experienced Equite when my generation joined and is still taking part whenever he can, his long term commitment to his Clan and his activity is to be recognised and respected for the long term achivement it clearly is.

Raistlin is now and has for a very long time been a highly valued member of Clan Naga Sadow and I am proud to add my name to those recommending his promotion to the highest rank of the Equites.

Primary reason

Aldaric is simply a beast. His time and list of positions since his last promotion goes above and beyond the requirement or what is considered average. He spent 8 months total as Quaestor of House Galeres in Arcona, four of which came after his promotion to EQ2. Since his promotion to EQ2, 1 Year and 7+ months ago, He has continued to serve as both a professor in the Shadow Academy as well as in the Fist offices. Which both the Fist and Headmaster will comment more on. He has also served a full term as an appeals panelist during the same time frame.

Despite his duties in two separate offices that can take up a considerable amount of time Aldaric is one of Clan Vizsla’s most active members. He is a constant fixture in clan chat offering up both Congratulations and advice when needed. As a competitor, he stays quite active within both Clan competitions as well as the brotherhood at large despite his work on two separate staffs. He has participated in 89 competitions while organizing or co-organizing a total of 31. He has won Crescent with Diamond Star, 13 Crescent with Ruby Star, Crescent with Amethyst Star, Crescent with Sapphire Star along with 56 Scrolls of Foundation. Aldaric was also presented with a Sapphire Blade for his work in the Shadow Academy and the Fist.

To make a long story short Aldaric is the type of member we all wish to have in our units and on a staff. He works hard for the Clan and Brotherhood at large. He makes it a better and more enjoyable place for us all. Last he inspires us to do more and better for the club at large through both words and actions. Clan Vizsla and the Brotherhood at large would not be the same without him, his work ethic, and drive. Congratulations Aldaric.

Additional reasons

Aldaric has served as my Praetor since March 2020 and has quickly become my most trusted advisor. In his day to day duties, Aldaric has the lead role in ensuring the monthly Grand Master's Royal Guard competitions are set up correctly and in a timely manner. Aldaric has also played a key role in monitoring our gaming submission queue to ensure the Fist staff is meeting our 24-hour approval goal.

Beyond the day to day duties, he has also assisted me with almost every major decision I have had to make since he joined the Fist staff. I very much appreciate having Aldaric as someone who can look at proposed changes, issues with platforms or other proposals and provide his honest opinion. He's not a "yes person" that tells me what he thinks I want to hear and that is something that is extremely important to ensuring our policies remain fair for all of members of our club.

Thank you for joining the staff Aldaric and for being someone I can trust to have difficult and confidential discussions with regarding gaming policies. Every DCer should have someone like Aldaric on their staff.

Aldaric was a pleasant member to have in Clan Arcona. He worked hard and tried to be a good role model for the other members of the Clan. Since his promotion to EQ2, Aldaric served as Quaestor for about four months. During that time he organized an Event titled, Operation: Homecoming, which helped kick off the Eldar storyline that Galares has continued to follow to this day.

Aldaric worked hard to promote activity in his House. He was active on Telegram and tried to keep Galares moving forward, a job that hasn't been the easiest for our Quaestors. I am happy to help recommend him for a promotion to Equite 3. Congratulations Aldaric, and good luck as you move forward!.

Aldaric is one of the Shadow Academy's most faithful professors. He's served as the Legends Department professor for just over two years now – grading 457 courses in an average of 5 hours (one of our fastest graders, as well!) throughout his career, with 377 of those being since his last promotion.

Recently, he's helped identify some of our students for exceptional exams or overall performance so that we could celebrate them in reports. He's done that by actively monitoring his exams and making an effort to bring those students or answers to my attention. He was also recognized as part of a Sapphire Blade award in the beginning of 2020 for his contribution to updating and improving his courses during the major audit at that time.

I'm grateful to have Aldaric as part of the Shadow Academy team and excited to add my recommendation to his promotion!

Oriah Chaar, you continue to impress. You're growing more competent each day and you will surely rival the Dark Council when the time is right. You have met the requirements for promotion, and a recommendation has been filed. Your accomplishments include:

  • Have an approved character sheet on record
  • Join Telegram or IRC, and visit Clan Channel
  • Write 750 words of character fiction as reviewed and approved by your unit leadership or master.

I will continue to watch your progress, Oriah Chaar, but my direct intervention in your promotions must come to an end.

You will go far within this Brotherhood.

May the Force guide you, Journeyman,

Adept Ciara Tearnan Rothwell Tarentae
