The All New and Improved ACC is the result of nearly nine months worth of coding, coding which has been performed almost in it's entirety by Kalen alone. It should surprise nobody that this by itself is no small feat and worthy of recognition, but allow me to add that this has been achieved while also juggling the tasks of a full-time DC position and a quite busy real-life situation. Kalen has, since work on the ACC started, survived the ever-increasing and ever-changing requirements and wishlists for the ACC, and has managed to deliver a product that we can all be proud of and will certainly shape the experience for members of our site for years to come. I will leave the mentioning of his accomplishments as Master at Arms to my fellow Dark Councillors, and close by stating that this Emerald Dagger is very well deserved. - SCL DJM James Lucius Entar Arconae
The ACC is the culmination of over one year of dedication and effort. The process to design a new ACC started with an ideology of story driven dynamics that began with the new character sheets and continued throughout the ACC's development. Our MAA, Kalen Aquillarum, served as the primary coder and an integral part of the ACC team . He participated through our early design planning and crafted our ideas into a reality. This was no easy feat due to changing priorities, new ideas, and project creep that altered and changed the design of the ACC in more ways than we can count. Beyond coding, Kalen's own ideas shaped and crafted the ACC and resulted in the finished project launched today. Our new ladder system is his baby and its value will be shown in the coming weeks with a Vendetta level competition. I'm honored to recommend Kalen for the Emerald Dagger, a truly deserved award. - Grand Master Pravus
Kalen has spent the majority of the last year coding alone on a project that, finally today, the entire club can enjoy. He was always willing to work in my changes, often despite them not making a ton of sense at the time I requested them. On top of that, every feature he implemented was met with yet another request, and all he was more than willing to see through. Despite pulling double duty as the coder for this major project and MAA, Kalen was able to put together a great system that the club can enjoy for years to come! For that, and for putting up with my endless list of requests, he deserves this Emerald Dagger! ~Mav

Marick Arconae has served on the new ACC's staff since the projections inception. Marick has served in multiple roles as content creator, administrator, course designer, and guide writer. These roles have been tremendous in their scope and herculean in their effort. Throughout Marick's tireless efforts he has always been driven by the principle of delivering content that enhances and improves the average members experience in the Dark Brotherhood. This began with his work on the creation of character sheet guides, species creation submission sheets, and multiple other projects designed to help our members create character sheets. Marick's efforts as an administrator for the Voice staff saw him approve, remand, and provide content on hundreds of character sheets. He would purposely take the time and effort to provide feedback to members who had their character sheets remanded and would often email them to help walk them through the process. Wally continued his work in the realm of mentorship by developing the ACC Shadow Academy Exams designed to teach our members how to participate in our new story driven ACC. These exams and their new function as qualification tools for the ACC required a level of detail and explanation that few exams can boast. Marick crafted them in a manner to help and improve our club's ability to participate in this avenue of activity. Lastly, Marick has written and designed an multiple guides (CS Guide, CS Approval Guide) relating to the ACC/Character sheets that further clarify any potential misunderstandings our members may have. These guides were written with no direction and guidance and were solely the fruits of Wally's desire to help our membership. Marick is a master mentor in our club with a focus on helping every member to enjoy our organization. An award like the Ruby Scepter was designed for members like him. Congrats! - Grand Master Pravus
Wally has always been my deputy of sorts, but his most important work of late has been as a mentor and teacher for new members working through designing custom Aspects. Wally is incredibly creative and has gotten very good at helping guide and develop member's character sheet Aspects. While he sometimes seems overzealous, he is driven by a desire to help every single member that submits a CS. Wally has added most all of the new races added to the system recently, has been proposing new feats, and has worked tirelessly to see that member concerns are addressed in his CS work. On top of this, he is by far the fastest to clear and approve the character sheets in the Queue.
This same attitude towards mentoring was visible when he originally proposed the two tests for the ACC, the first of which, ACC fundamentals, is used virtually verbatim from his first proposal. He continues to be one of the faster judges over the course of the Open Beta, and he served as one of the small number of Closed Beta testers.
Overall, Wally's strong drive to continually improve the members of this club and to help them understand and enjoy the systems he helps create make him perfect for the Ruby Scepter... So congratulations, Wally! ~ Mav

Dark Jedi Master Aidan Kincaid, aka Shadow, should be credited with nearly every design concept and invention found within the new ACC. Shadow's ideas crafted a new ideology to focus on story driven character sheets and in turn a story driven ACC. This new ideology was designed in order to bring the ACC to a wider audience and support our club's transition from a gaming organization to a fiction oriented organization. The development of Fate based character sheets is owed to Shad, multiple aspects of our new grading mechanics designed to enhance story are owed to Shad, and nearly every current ACC venue is owed to Shad's editing/writing. Shad's work on the ACC has been spectacular, time consuming, and we are fortunate that he has provided us with his efforts. An Emerald Dagger is a well deserved award and one that fitting for a member who worked without expectation of any award at all. Thanks Shad. I appreciate everything you gave to this project. - Grand Master Pravus
Without Shadow, I wouldn't be involved in the ACC much at all... and I wouldn't have picked up the character system. Shadow's influences, though, extend far past these two systems, to virtually every fictional endeavor we have worked on. New NPCs? Shadow can do it. Wiki needs updating? Shadow already realized and has started doing it. In a way, Shadow's work on the fictional side of this club is almost everywhere, yet he absolutely refuses to take credit for almost anything, making it difficult for the average member to really see his contributions - beyond the stellar quality of his writing that routinely places in every competition.
Back to the ACC specifically, Shadow co-write the ACC Guide with Halc, wrote or adapted every single current venue in the database, created the initial site plan from which Kalen built the site, and has edited every single document we've had relating to the ACC, to judging, and to any other endeavor. On top of that, he served as a Judge through Open Beta, and was one of the most active participants in the ACC tournament, where he has now reached the Finals.
To put it simply, Shadow more than deserves this Emerald Dagger. He has been absolutely essential to not just this project, but just about every fictional project we've worked on over the last year. ~ Mav

Dark Jedi Master James Lucius Entar Arconae has served as a project manager for over a year. James utilized his specific knowledge of coding to transition our great ideas into reality. Additionally, and probably more importantly, James stood as a voice of reason and helped guide the ACC project back into the realm of possible when our ideas became too grandiose or impossible to implement. James coding support included the identification of bugs, bug fixes, and solutions to coding problems the rest of us were incapable of solving. Additionally, James provided direct support to the Office of the Voice in the manner of automating competition administrative support (the awarding of CIs, the automatic closing of competition sign ups). James has dedicated a year of his life to supporting, tweaking, and working on bringing the ACC to our members. We are a better club due to his efforts and an AK is a truly well deserved award. - Grand Master Sarin
James has always been there for any request I had, big or small, related not just to the ACC, but anything coded related on the site. Early on in the process, James helped guide discussions on coding, and more recently, he stepped in and helped organize and streamline our final launch process, by taking the final set of feature requests and organizing them into various tiers and timelines, such that he and Kalen were finally able to complete the necessarily things for launch! James more than deserves this Amethys Kukri for his work, not just on the ACC, but his continued work at making the DB a better place for all of us. ~Mav

Over the past months, I have had the esteemed pleasure of working alongside Turel Sorenn. Stretching back before his appointment to the Battle Team Leader of the Knights of Allusis, Turel has constantly attracted the attention of the Odan-Urr Summit through his determined and productive nature to see his goals through to fulfillment. While I was on a Leave Of Absence through the month of April, Turel Sorenn took charge of the organization, documentation and assignment of projects open to the Odan-Urr membership, having created a massive spreadsheet which listed all of Odan-Urr's Articles with information detailling their status, authors, organization, and most importantly - the needed updates, improvements and changes to each article. This work resulted in one of the most detalled and best-documented initiatives I have seen in all of my years serving as Aedile, and rivals our top projects in scope.
With such a valued and respected leader vacating the position of the Knights of Allusis Battle Team Leader, the resulting void would have taken large shoes to fill. However, Turel Sorenn's accomplishments resulted in the former Battle Team Leader's reccommendation of this Padawan to fill this void, who has adjusted to the position quickly and efficiently. His constant success in inspiring his Knights of Allusis and running of various competitions and events is more than worthy of praise and reward.
Cast your Padawan braid aside, and rise a Jedi Knight, Turel Sorenn!

Edgar Drachen has been a boon to Odan-Urr's success through the Journeymen ranks. He has been one of the most dedicated and active members we have ever seen, and his pile of countless Clusters of Fire is a grand reflection of his achievements. He is easily one of the Brotherhood's top gamers, having earned far more Clusters of Fire in the course of a few months than I have gathered throughout my entire time spent in the Brotherhood. Not only would he be an excellent candidate in the future for a position on the FIST Staff, but his ability to build friendships is remarkable, and is one of the most important qualities in our future leaders. In addition to this, his skills in writing places him among the ranks of our best writers and storytellers. I value Edgar Drachen greatly, and count him among our hardest-hitting members this side of Nar Shadda.

Since joining our House months ago, Edgar has been a powerhouse of gaming activity and has raked up an impressive tally of Clusters and Pendants. He has more than proven himself worthy as a gamer, but one of the goals he has requested was to improve on his fiction skills. I assigned him an arbitrary task, to engage in a run-on with his friend Turel to a set minimum of 2000 words. He has done an excellent job of putting pen to paper on this task, and this has helped significantly in helping to solidify him as a well-rounded and capable student. He and Turel have recently been given authority over one of our main battleteams, the Knights of Allusis, and based on the impressive activity and the constant drive to be active, I have every confidence that Edgar will do well in helping lead the Knights of Allusis. I feel there is little more he could learn from me, and that it is time he cast off his padawan braid and rise up as an equal Knight in our House. ~Nathan

Farrin joined Tarentum not very long ago, but is a Brotherhood veteran. I am already honored to have him in our House. He is one of those people who sets a goal and pours everything he has into achieving it. Since joining Tarentum he has completed what seems like every Shadow Academy course there is. He has also offered to help on House projects and stayed in close contact with me and his master, Hades. If he keeps up this level of activity I have no doubt he will be a renowned member of the DB before too long.
What really speaks volumes about Farrin isn't the work he's done though, it's his attitude and personality. He truly understands the club and its need for volunteerism as a means to ensuring its survival. He is anxious to help our younger members advance, to improve House Tarentum and the Brotherhood as a whole. He understands better than some Equites how important it is that his contributions be known outside of his House, and I greatly look forward to seeing what he does with a true lightsaber in his hand.
This is exactly the kind of guy that will help nurse House Tarentum back to health, and I am honored to be able to recommend a promotion to knighthood for him.

At this time I would like to recommend that my apprentice, JH Farrin Xies (PIN# 10013), be promoted to the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Beyond the fact that he has completed so much since returning from the Rogues only very recently and have fully completed his requirements for DJK, Farrin is a very active and helpful member of House Tarentum. He shows his presence constantly on IRC and email. He runs with and helps fellow DBers in TOR whenever possible. He is also helping the House Summit with House activities tirelessly. He has been a model member of the House and I have been proud to help guide his way trough his final goals of obtaining his lightsaber. I see Farrin going very far in this House and in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood as a whole.
