To echo the sentiment another person expressed when this promotion came through: "IT'S BEEN THREE DAYS!" But that's not honestly all that surprising to anyone who's been paying attention to the absolute flurry of activity that is Esen. She was already well past the threshold when she hit JM3, so I knew it wouldn't be long until I was writing this recc for JM4.

The numbers aren't going to be huge, because...it's been three days! But the weight of those numbers is incredible: having completed two primary competitions (with one container comp), Esen earned 2 Crescents with Diamond Star, 2 Crescents with Ruby Star, and a Crescent with Quartz Star. That is an absolutely phenomenal level of performance. Along with 12 Clusters of Graphite and remaining overflow XP, Esen has absolutely blown away the threshold for promotion to JM4.

JM4 is a very special rank. Historically, Knight was seen as the threshold of becoming a true member of the Brotherhood. By the time you reach Knight (yes, I'm still going to call it that; I'm old, deal with it) you have had the opportunity to see what things the Brotherhood has to offer, and started to figure out what you have to offer the Brotherhood. As a Knight, you have become a notable member of the Brotherhood, ready to carve out your place in the history of the club. I think it's undeniable that Esen has already carved out a solid place in House Qel-Droma and Clan Arcona, if not the DJB as a whole. If nothing else, we're never gonna get Wally to stop using Pepe emojis now.

Many things and a great deal of effort go in to a member reaching their Knighthood. It is the first major step in what we all hope will be a long journey. Over the past few weeks, I have had many opportunities to speak praise and admiration for Esen's absolutely astounding level of activity, her strong presence in our community, and just all around how proud I am as her Quaestor to see her crushing it like she is. But there are many others that have been involved in Esen's journey to this point, and I will step aside now and let them speak their part.

Esen has been a breath of fresh air from the moment she rolled into our little corner of the club. She has brought with her a quiet wit, an easy charm, and an endearing desire to learn and absorb all the information around her.

I've had the privilege of watching her jump into her first RPs, using the system and adapting very quickly while engaging with others without (outward) fear. Because for all the internal-panic or "wait am I doing it right", Esen has just barreled ahead, making friends and organically moving along her progressions.

I'm also fortunate to have gotten to talk more with her on the side about non-DB things, and she is always willing to listen or lend an ear. We are incredibly lucky to have her not just in Clan Arcona, but in the Brotherhood as a whole.

Congrats on this milestone achievement, Seals. I know it might not fully click in the moment, but this is a big deal for us old folks that remember our 'Knighting's back in ancient times.

I'm not going to say "keep up the good work", and instead will say: keep doing what you do, because it works!

When Zuza and Wolfe mentioned they were inviting a Seals into the Brotherhood, I got excited. Not just because, as Esen put it, the 'Gas Station Hotdogs rolling on the ocean floor' sea mammals are adorable and equally ferocious and scary, but because I enjoy meeting new members and witnessing them experience the club. And those new members being friends of friends is even better. Esen has been crushing it with an impressive amount of gaming and crescents won! She's already finding her way into the clan and been a joy to get to know.

When Wulfram first started poking Esen about the Brotherhood, my only hesitation in joining him was accidentally blowing my friend's brain up. Being a hardworking, kind, selfless individual I knew that as long as Esen wanted to, she would thrive in the club. So I of course provided the more sane appearing one as we both tag-teamed her recruitment until she was hooked and it was too late to escape my rambles.

It is safe to say she has took to us like a seal rolling into the sea for the first time. A little bit worried but successful and cute! Not to rehash too much but between Esen's immediate enthusiasm to start roleplaying, the effort placed into creating a driven character with future plot points to strive for and her immediate connection with several members of our little community, I couldn't be prouder or happier to watch her slide down the slippery slope that is our corner of the internet. We've spoken much about various parts of the club and Esen is always eager to learn and eager to do more. With JM4 coming up we spoke about what Knight meant, the tradition behind it and why so many people spoke so highly of the rank. Immediately Esen requested to visit our old guidelines and make sure she hasn't missed anything and we will be running her first competition (of many to come) before long. She is willingly putting herself out there to secure her knowledge about as much of the club as possible, while also winning over the hearts of us in Arcona. It won't be long before that ripples outward.

Esen Dulle has reached the required 2150 XP to reach the rank of Journeyman III! Since their last promotion, Esen had competed in 17 competitions. Their efforts netted themselves 2 Ruby, 1 Amethyst, and 2 Emerald Star Crescents. A couple of those competitions were graphic art ones, earning Esen 6 Clusters of Graphite and a rank up in the Shroud Syndicate. Esen has been killing it with gaming activity, participating in 6 submitted sessions since last promo. This awarded 47 Clusters of Fire and a rank up with the Grand Master's Royal Guard. They also have been exploring the roleplay system. Having finished 2 rps with 4894 words, Esen earned 9 Clusters of Ice, a rank up in the Inquisitorius and twice with the Envoy as a participant.

It has been lovely seeing Esen engage with not just her clanmates and House peers, but also the greater Brotherhood communities. It's becoming a common sight to see that little heart surrounded Kermit emoji or the heart totting Pepe on fellow artists' works. Esen enjoys learning about their peers' characters and stories, especially exchanging tales of dnd adventures. They are kind, friendly, and eager to explore the Brotherhood one step at a time. It's been a joy seeing a new member explore and discover what grand things the club offers.

Here we go again :D Neko has been an active and dedicated member of House Sunrider and Clan Odan-Urr for a while now, consistently taking part in competitions and gaming activities. They've competed in 18 comps, 10 of which were gaming related, earned 132 Clusters of Fire, a Steel Cross, three Crescents with Sapphire Star, and three Crescents with Emerald Star. Neko has also brought in 59,730 credits for Clan Odan-Urr, and ranked up twice in the Grand Master's Royal Guard, earning this recommendation which I am only happy to give.

Haha, now it's my turn to write a recommendation for Remalia! One of our fastest rising new stars in House Qel-Droma, Remalia continues his absolute flurry of furious activity in the Brotherhood!

In the past ten days, since their promotion to JM2, he has taken part in 11 competitions, even earning a Crescent with Ruby Star for one of them. Along with 10 Gaming activities and 2 RP sessions (with over 3000 words between them!), he has also been crushing it on his studies with 10 courses passed and a degree earned in the Shadow Academy. Overall this had led to two advancements in the Envoy Corps, another rank in the Aurora Collegium of Sciences, and the first steps into both the Shroud Syndicate and Inquisitorius.

Remy is an absolute rock star of our House, and I am proud to recommend them for promotion to the rank of Journeyman 3.

32 Competitions, 2 Roleplays with a combined 1,968 words, a new Academy Course completion and a Degree Earned, 4 Society Rank-Ups, 2 with the Envoy Corps. as a Participant, 1 with the GMRG, and another in the Collegium, as well as a Steel Cross, 2 Crescents with Diamond Stars, a Crescent with an Amethyst Star, 2 Crescents with Sapphire Stars, 47 Clusters of Fire, and 3 Clusters of Ice. I can't claim Helmet as one of my own recruits, but, I am glad I pestered them to make their way back to the community, to find a new life among the Galaxy Far, Far, Away, and to give it a chance to ride, all the while not-so-subtly beating them with encouragement to jump in and do things with us and dragging them into various events where I could.

Seeing Zahara reach Knighthood is a grand point for me, much like my own return three years ago, seeing this community for everything it can be without arbitrary limits, enjoying the fun with others, and just being a welcomed part of everything has made it easier not only to find my own stride, but to help others find their places in the community.

Since his last promotion, Padawan Managarmis has continued to work his way up. Starting by diligently studying in the Aurora Collegium of Sciences (SA), doing 38 courses and earning 7 degrees, including the Sage of History and Lore degree. He didn’t stop there, as he participated in 2 competitions, gaining 2 crescents, a Sapphire and a Topaz respectively.
