Brujah has been a stable and unyielding force for CSP since his return earlier this year in January. He has hustled to get where he is and now all his hard work has paid off. He's done so much for the Clan and himself. For starters, his work as QUA has been nothing short of exemplary for the past 5 months. He's hard-working and dedicated and it shows through his contributions. He's participated in over 331 unique competitions of all kinds, organized a total of 18 competitions for the Clan, earned 1.2 million credits for the Clan, battled it out in the ACC tourney, continually wrote fictions to develop his character(s), ranked up 16 times in our Societies, and passed 16 SA courses with 4 degrees gained. He's earned an Amethyst Kukri, a Sapphire Blade, 2 silver Nova and 1 Bronze, a Dark Side Scroll, a Scroll of the Master, Crescents of all kinds from placing in competitions including 5 Diamond Stars, 360 Clusters of Fire, 36 Clusters of Ice, and 57 Clusters of Graphite. He's done it all and so much more! He's fun to be around in chat and makes friends where he goes. I can think of no one else deserving of the rank befitting one of his caliber. I have been back in CSP for just a couple of months. From day one Vincent has been every bit the workhorse. He has taken to his role as Quaestor and ran with it. He provides regular updates to the clan on competitions that are running. He is ever present in summit discussions and willing to jump in and get his feet wet to promote the competitions and ideas that the summit puts forward. This can be seen by his jumping in and participating in both of the recent RP sessions I ran.

He works well with his counterpart Nemo in splitting up competition running duties swapping out who is running what to make sure there is plenty for our members to do and that neither quaestor gets burned out from repeating the same things over and over. House Caliburnis is in great hands with Vincent at its helm and I am super stoked to congratulate him on reaching Equite 4.

Brujah, Vincent, or Vinny B as I have just now decided to call him. I had the pleasure of working with Vinny B when I was Consul of CSP. During that time he brought unparalleled energy, excitement, and activity to his role. He quickly took to the standards we had laid out for QUAs and exceeded the expectation. He is an excellent leader, cornerstone of the CSP community, and a blast to be around.

Be it organizing competitions, or shooting the poo on discord, Vinny B is an excellent representation of the dedication that can be shown by some of our returning rogue members. From the day he transferred back into CSP, he has been off to the races with activity. This man does everything he possibly can. Nothing gets in his way. He attacks and gets the job done, then moves on to the next thing.

I won’t drone on about his activity levels, but I will add that Brujah has also brought a great sense of humor to our community. He’s always there with a joke or finding a way to spice up the conversation. In many ways he has reminded me of the reason that we all spend our spare time doing DJB activities; For Fun. Brujah brings the fun to everything he does.

I am so glad that I had the opportunity to get to know him and witness his return. It has been nothing short of spectacular. Congratulations on this elevation, Brujah. You’ve earned this. Drinks are on you!

Slow and steady wins the race, Erin joined among a wide chunk of the Wolfepack and has slowly worked their way up through the ranks, primarily through gaming and the occasional roleplay with other members of Clan Odan-Urr. Never one to shy away from a given challenge, they've jumped at any direct challenge given and put on their best to take on different facets of the club while navigating a slew of their own challenges in life outside of the club, including a shift in jobs, college courses, and moving across state.

Since their last promotion, Erin has written 225 words of fiction, 91 words as part of a roleplay, and taken part in 28 competitions, 7 of which being container competitions. They've also earned a Steel Cross, 2 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, 3 Crescents with Sapphire Stars, 3 Crescents with Emerald Stars, a Crescent with Topaz Star, 143 Clusters of Fire, and a Cluster of Ice. Their efforts further gained them increased standing in both the Inquisitorius and the Grand Master's Royal Guard, garnering a single rank increase among both societies.

As I said beginning this recommendation for promotion, Erin is a definite example of "Slow and Steady wins the race", taking their time to acclimate to the club, find the things they enjoy, and take their time to enjoy them with other members of the club.

44,000 XP. Equite 4. A benchmark that haunts us and which serves as one of the last major benchmarks before Ryuu, or as we all affectionately know him, Nero moves on towards one of his lifetime goals with the Brotherhood, reaching Elder. 44,000 XP. A benchmark which a younger, less disillusioned Nero with the current systems of the Brotherhood would have raced towards, full of zeal, and broken while baiting me to catch up with him. When he first recruited me one of the first things Nero instilled in me was that promotions within the club were 'difficult' compared to the shared spaces we had back in the day, wherein some people could literally write their way from the bottom to the top over the course of a week. He told me of the requirements, time in position, participation in societies, and more. These days are much kinder for all of The Brotherhood, giving us clear requirements, a clear progression system, and helping to prevent burnout from stagnation.

Nero has been a driving force in Odan-Urr and has served us in several ways since his return, joining us as Magistrate to the Consul and acting as the head of our gaming sector, kickstarting the monthly COU Cluster Races, following the trends of hot releases and feeding that information back down to the Clan, routinely speaking with the FIST as well as other Councilors, and acting as a go-between (simply because he was often much more sociable than me as I was still learning the ins-and-outs of my position at the time). His experience having worked in various Staff positions through the years was a boon to us, and even beyond all of that, he has always been a friend of mine.

Though Nero has always had one golden rule during his time on our staff, one which saddened me with all the good work he put in; "Don't make me responsible for people." It meant that as Odan-Urr transitioned back to the traditional Houses format, he would willingly relinquish his position, despite the great work he did for the Clan, and the fact that even since his departure he has gone to bat for members of the Clan and for fairness throughout The Club when he felt there was a potential of disparity in systems, someone was being treated unfairly, or a competition was unfavorably tilted towards a certain group/demographic, situations he has routinely brought to my desk, and certainly others.

While Nero often plays himself off as a surly and disinterested person, in truth, he is deeply moved to provide fairness, balance, and equity for the entirety of the club. He will debate his stance on a matter tenaciously and stand on principle. While there have been plenty of times during our nearly 15+ years of knowing one another when we have disagreed, I know that if there is anyone in the Clan who will go to bat for fairness, it is Nero, even (especially) if it means calling me out and arguing publicly over the matter.

Congratulations on reaching EQ4 Nero, you're one step closer to being an "Old man" yourself, though not as old as I apparently am. You've fought a while for this and played a metric tonne of games to get yourself up here. Now if only we could get you back to writing and not just sniping me in chat for being older than dirt (I'm not) we could see about expediting your path to the Elder league, since, you know, you'd be opening yourself up to 4-5 times more competitions every month.

He is one of the clans more prolific gamers, but has been willing to branch out into other activities, like his participation in ACC Singularity.

Going on ten years now, I've known Nero aka Ryuu. In that time, I've watched him grow from annoyance to friend. When he and I first started talking to one another, it felt like having a younger sibling. Annoying as hell and always wanting to hang out. I didn't know it then, but I had adopted my own little brother in that first moment.

Nero has had his own history with the club, spending time just like I have upset at something, burned all the way out, tired of one shenanigan or another, but this is a member who has the tenacity and the insanity to just keep at it. If it wasn't for his attitude of not being responsible for people (even though he does it anyway, shhh don't tell him that), he'd be an amazing leader because he has the compassion, the drive, the knowledge and the creativity to do just that.

In addition to organizing 55 competitions, Nero has participated in almost 300 for himself. In those competitions, he has earned a load of crescents including 1 Diamond, 12 Rubies, 35 Amethysts, 18 Sapphires, 7 Emeralds, 6 Topazeses, and 2 Quartzeses. As for clusters, this dude racked up 1846 Fires, 8 Ices and 13 Graphites. He's also earned 1 Indoctrination, 2 Foundations and 9 Seals of Transcendence. I'm pretty sure I could keep going if people really wanted, but let's face it. This boy has gone above and beyond what it means and requires to enter the final stage of the Equites.

And with this, I join my voice to the rest of this Summit and heartily recommend this promotion and my heartfelt congratulations to this member who has made his home with us and become family to many.

And also because I threatened to do it.
