Primary reason

Tali is an invaluable addition to Arcona's family. He is a hardworking leader and a strong voice for his House. He ensures communication within the House chats, keeps his Summit running efficiently, and keeps his members updated with timely and efficient reports. He has worked well with his Aediles, Aru and Jazzy, and his Battleteam Leader, Wally, to ensure that HQD has a story that is engaging and keeps the members invested.

Since his last recognition, Tali has organized 3 Competitions and co-organized 2 others. He has participated in 73 competitions as well, netting himself a slew of crescents(5 Ruby, 2 Amethyst, 5 Sapphire, 3 Emerald, 1 Topaz). He has participated in 15 PVP matches, and 16 Fiction activities, writing 57,094 words. His efforts have earned him 39 Clusters of Fire, 132 Clusters of Ice, and 25 Clusters of Graphite. He has also earned a Scroll of Foundation for work in the Shadow Academy.

In the Rite of Supremacy Tali earned 4 Gold Novae, 2 Silver Novae, and 1 Bronze Nova, as well as 26 Seals of Enmity. He was also named Second Heroine of the Rite of Supremacy Escalation!

Tali has been a great Quaestor during these past 9 months. He ran an event for the House called Law and Droma, centered around the new possessions he purchased for Qel Droma. He has also taken charge of running bi-monthly audits of his House members alongside his Aediles and Wally. He pushes his members to compete, keeping HQD the top-performing House for Arcona. He has been extremely helpful in the change for the Club from Telegram to Discord, staying a constant presence and helping to redirect traffic to our Clubs new home. Without his assistance, Arcona wouldn't have eased into Discord as easily as it has.

For all of his hard work and dedication, I am extremely proud to award Tali Sroka with a Sapphire Blade. Amazing job!!!

Primary reason

I first truly met Junazee as a newly minted Battleteam leader, while she was leading Galeres as Quaestor, a position she held for a full ten months. In my time serving under Juna, I came to respect her immensely; for her short and sharp professionalism, her deep compassion for all things living, and her commitment to hard work, both in the club and in real life. All of these things are reflected in her activity, which should stand as more than enough to earn an overdue award.

In the time since her last recognition, Junazee has participated in a staggering 103 competitions, organizing a further 14. Within these comps, she racked up an impressive count of awards, with one Diamond crescent, two Ruby crescents, five Amethyst crescents, three Sapphire crescents, and an Emerald crescent. Moreover, her work generated more than a thousand words of fiction, earning 3 clusters of ice, and a total of 14 Seals of Visions and 11 Seals of Enmity.

But, Juna truly shines on the gaming front. Over the course of 93 PvE matches and 9 PvP matches, Junazee created a wholly terrifying number of gaming clusters, burning in with 322 clusters of Fire and 332 Clusters of Earth.

Junazee is a leader, an immensely valued member of Arcona, and a good friend. It is my distinct honor to recommend her for the receipt of a Sapphire Blade.

Primary reason

Since Zuji’s, currently otherwise known by her character Diy, promotion in August 2020, she’s been a strong and steady workhorse in both House and Clan. In the scope of raw numbers, she’s organized one (1) competition and participated in one hundred and five (105) competitions. Between those competitions and the newly minted roleplay function in the club, she’s accumulated 40,986 words of fiction, plus an additional 1,268 of Run On participation. This has netted her some 86 Clusters of Ice, in addition to 144 of Fire, 23 of Earth, and 24 of Graphite. As if her raw participation wasn’t enough, she’s a regular placer, with 23 Crescents to her name, plus two Novae from the last Vendetta, which also got her 13 Seals of Enmity.

Where competitions and the generic fun stuff fall away, Zuji is still a workhorse of member engagement. If her one (1) Scroll of Indoctrination and two (2) of the Master don’t say enough about her ability to maintain presence, then her Seal of Loyalty shows our appreciation for these non-metrics efforts — her second such awarding, making her a repeat offender of awesome. Speaking on a more personal level though, she is more often than not on the front lines in chats, always a friendly and professional presence that exemplifies her position as an Arconae. Her work is quality, and I am always excited to see her work when grading competitions or simply perusing entries of other participants.

Hopefully this shiny object serves as some small measure of our appreciation for Zuji and her efforts.

Let me start off with a by-the-numbers review of Thran since his last recognition.

Metrics:

  • 1 Organized
  • 4 Co-Organized
  • 74 Participation

Activity

  • 77 PvE activities
  • 4 Fiction activities
  • 8,566 words written

Shadow Academy

  • 3 courses passed
  • 2 degrees gained

Awards

  • 23 Crescents
  • 8 Pendant of Blood
  • 1,285 Clusters
  • 1 Scroll of the Master

Commentary:

Thran has been a powerhouse individual within CSP. By the numbers he's clearly one of the top performers but his contributions have extended far beyond that.

He spearheaded our clan possession overhaul. From reviewing our existing possession, determine total value by asset, developing the new clan possession layout - researching extensively the Imperial Guidebook - and producing an easy to read analysis of recommended items to sell, purchase, and the corresponding structure to place the possession in.

Thran has championed our gaming night(s) and is always available for a match of BF2. He's equally an amazing chess player if you're seeking a casual gaming partner. I've learned quite a bit from him regarding my own chess playing.

I'm honored to see him receive this recognition and would expect to see more great things from him as he continues his time within the Regent's office.

Proconsul Comments

I want to conclude here by speaking to Thran's leadership presence and abilities in Clan Scholae Palatinae. In short, he has been one of the greatest positive impacts on Clan activity and club gaming activity since his last recognition, and most definitely since his return to full activity. This is because Thran exemplifies the idea of leading by example, and using his example as a beacon of encouragement for his fellow Clan members. When he's gaming, he's always inviting people out to play - and not just his closest friends, but everyone! When he's writing, he's constantly bringing us along for the journey. When he's working on DC project work, even if he can't share the details, he shares his sheer excitement for it. And that gets people hyped up! It gets members engaged and talking with one another. And this is Thran to a tee. He wants people to be involved, to find their niche and passion, and to recognize how much fun being a member of this club is.

Thran is a foundational pillar of our Clan and club community who reminds everyone in the Clan that we're all DJB members who love Star Wars and want to have fun. He is a member who we should all strive to mirror and match in overall activity output, service to the community, and the ability to generate comradery and bonds between fellow members. He's the best of us.

I am so honored to see Thran being recognized for all of his great work. I know there are only great things ahead for him, and I'm so excited to see where it leads him. Congratulations, Thran, and keep it up.

Recommendation:

It is my privledge to recommend this Sapphire Blade for Augur Reiden Palpatine Karr. Beyond the metrics, which I'll highlight below, he is a constant presence throughout the DJB. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't see Reiden speaking up in each of the clan chats, sharing insights, helping new members, and building a stronger community.

Within Scholae Palatinae he's a joyful individual who knows everyone, engages easily with each member, and encourages activities. His informal title as Puzzle Master is well earned with numerous 1st place finishes.

As an advisor to me he artfully balances raising counter points to validate we're making the right decision and that we're putting our membership first with each action we choose to take. I wouldn't be as balanced as a leader without his consultation.

Further, I'm surprised that Reiden has not yet received a Sacramental award given his 13 years with the club and his continued contributions and engagement.

Performance Metrics

Competitions:

  • 1 Co-organized
  • 70 Participated

Activity:

  • 2 Fiction Activities

Master Kamjin "Maverick" Lap'lamiz, 2022-01-03 16:45:20 UTC
Additional reasons

Reiden is another example of a humble Clan member leading by example in activity, and not just through their Summit service. Whether in their Summit service or club activity, Reiden takes a humble but active approach to all things. This approach rubs off on his fellow Clan mates, encouraging them to get involved in competitions and other activities of interest. Reiden has also been a good point of contact for our Journeymen members in their position as Rollmaster, where he reliably checks in on these members and facilitates their progress.

This evident puzzle master has also driven interest in puzzle-type competitions throughout the Clan, with many folks trying (though so far not succeeding) to meet Reiden's incredible puzzle completion times. This is another example of passive leadership by example, whereby Reiden's love for certain activities is figuratively rubbing off on the rest of the Clan as something to aspire to.

I am pleased to see Reiden being recognized for his activity. Well done, and keep it up!

The Regent Staff is a bit of a different animal. Often, it's hard to quantify just how much effort and work someone has put in by just listing and explaining what it is they've done, because it could be a little - or a lot.. Although his mid-terms and final exams have kept him busy and kept him from playing a larger role in contributing to the Regent Staff, that hasn't stopped Teebu from helping out where he can. Since joining the Regent Staff on 21-10-21, Teebu has been a part of several important discussions that will have had a lasting impact on our staff and posessions, helped handle the aspect queue - reviewing aspects to make sure they conform to the Item Aspect Approval Policy on the wiki, and supplying an appropriate remand/rejection if they don't. It was Teebu who sorted out the details for our new themed Lightsaber Store with Thran, and did a final peer review on all of the seven clan dominions for the Clan Dominions project - well over two dozen items. He's started contributing to our upcoming Booster Pack release, and is working with Bentre on the details for our next store - A clan store to house the upcoming Planetary Assets project. For his consistent dedication to the staff and continued effort in ensuring the best for our members, I wholeheartedly believe Teebu is deserving of this achievement.

Congraulations, Teebu, and keep up the great work.

Anubis, 2022-01-02 16:39:16 UTC
Additional reasons

Honestly, the amount of time, work, and effort Teebu puts into everything he does is very difficult to simply put into words, but you know what? Let's have a crack at it anyways! Because that is the kind of member Teebu is. He just throws himself into any project he can get his hands on, do it to the utmost quality, and move on to the next. I'm not ashamed to say he's kept me on my toes, and Taldryan is grateful to have him on the Summit.

When Teebu became Quaestor of House Ektrosis, he dived straight in to helping organise the next Clan event, which was the Clan Taldryan: Invasion of Port Kasiya event. Prior to the events its creation, Teebu created the Port Kasiya wiki page, and submitted several hundred words of fiction and proofing to to the Port Kasiya Invasion storyline. Teebu also ran several comps for the event itself, but perhaps his single biggest contribution to it, was being the primary GM for Taldryan's bustling RP scene. When the idea was suggested, the summit, besides Teebu himself, had very little experience in running an asynchronous RP. Upon discovering this, Teebu volunteered to run it, submitting GM posts every single day for three straight weeks, creating plot plots, twists and turns, and driving the story forward. His total word count for running the RP alone was 16,877 words, which over the course of three weeks is insane!

After that event, Teebu aided me in the Taldryan awards review we did back in November, suggesting awards for members of Ektrosis. He also ran The Great Sithmas Adventure by himself, which consisted of 11 individual competitions which are being judged now!

In total since his last award, Teebu had done and has been awarded the following;

Participated in 7x Competitions Written 37686 words of fiction in total Passed 2x Shadow Academy Courses Earned 1x Crescent with Diamond Star Earned 1x Crescent with Amethyst Star
Earned 1x Crescent with Sapphire Star
Earned 75x Clusters of Ice
And earned 1x Dark Side Scroll

Lastly I would be remiss if I did not mention the work Teebu put into organising Taldryan's possessions. He put forward a Google Sheet which has begun being implemented.

All in all, Teebu is hard working, passionate, and a joy to have in the Clan and the Summit. For all your hard work, Teebu, I am proud to join Zxyl in recommending you for this achievement. Congratulations, Teebu. You earned it!

Primary reason

Darkhawk Sadow.

Oh boy.

See, this is a member for whom he is certainly greater than the sum of his parts. In all honesty, every time that I have done a review of my membership, I have had Darkhawk niggling at the back of my mind in the 10 months he has served as my Proconsul and right hand. Not because he ever asks for anything- quite the opposite as a matter of fact. Rather, because Darkhawk for all the doubt he might show at times, he has proven himself a capable individuals on several accounts. While he has never asked for anything of his own, ensuring me it will come when it does or that he doesn't need anything....

Well, Darkhawk, you are gonna have to sit down, because I get a chance to brag on you. You see, Darkhawk is a more pivotal member than he realizes. I mean, I can point at the dossier stats as a show of this, yeah. And I will, but first I wanted to make sure to put this into the public view while I have Darkhawk's full attention: everything that I have accomplished in this Clan, everything that we have done for Naga Sadow, every victory, every high point has been in part because of Darkhawk.

It is not exaggerating to say that Darkhawk keeps me accountable for things that I owe the Dark Council, or that I plan to do for the Clan. He keeps on task, not allowing me to become complacent, unafraid to remain a monkey on my back. No rather, he ensures that we are working towards the best that we can for the Clan. When an issue pops up, he is already there, asking what the plan of attack is. He already wants to know what he can do to help or contribute. When it comes to Great Jedi War time, Darkhawk is in it, whole hog. Even when he doubts his own abilities, he is more than willing to give above and beyond. He might not even realize it, but I have seen Darkhawk go above the humble assertions of what he is capable of.

For example, Darkhawk was one of our members who "did everything" in our last Vendetta. Even though he expressed some doubt around the worthiness of his entries, he did nothing short of his best in whatever he did. And oftentimes, the quality of his work is above that which a pleb like myself could come up with. The quality of his work is consistent, even if it isn't everything he would always want. Yeah, Darkhawk, I am praising a "knuckle dragger" like you. You have earned it.

I mean, most recently Darkhawk was tasked with writing up the fiction and report for the month for Clan Naga Sadow. He delivered over 3k words in a report that served largely as the December Report for Clan Naga Sadow in November. This also garnered one of the best responses to a unit report I have seen of late. Own that, Darkhawk, because that was on you! You even completed it in a timely fashion, so nothing other than more praise to heap upon that chap.

And yet, all this I still feel is not entirely doing justice to my friend and Warlord Darkhawk Sadow. The dude is more than friendly and willing with our members. He wants to see the best from and by his fellow members. His attitude by and large is just the sort of thing that every member could want from a leader. I can confidently say that, if the time should come where Darkhawk finds himself helming a Clan, that if he has a second in command half as capable as he is, he should be quite set!

Among the 10 competitions he has organized and the 5 he co-organized, you can find the likes of our Winter in Orian Clan event, the Unchained Malady inter-Clan event with Taldryan, some of his own solitary one-off events and his own contributions to the success of our small Naga Sadow November event. More than just sitting on the sidelines organizing or helping to organize things, Darkhawk has kept busy with gaming, competitions, writing, and even a bit of the Shadow Academy. In the latter institution, Darkhawk knocked out 3 courses, which is noteworthy in the fact that despite his two decades in the club, he still finds the time to visit a part of our club that some members leave behind after they reach Knighthood.

Just how much has he participated? Well he has ticked up 77 unique competitions. He has engaged in 4 PVP matches and 7 PVE matches. He has written 31457 words over 15 fiction activities. He has thrown another 1262 words towards ROs with two posts of his own.

And what does he have to show for this? For his fiction, he has earned 78 Clusters of Ice. For gaming, he has earned 30 Clusters of Fire and another 28 Clusters of Earth. Oh yeah, and he has also earned a Pendant of Blood in gaming. Oh, and remember when I talked about he disparages his own work? Well, he has also ground out 29 Clusters of Graphite for graphics. So that tells me he is either more skilled or more confident than he gives himself credit for!

In the sphere of competitions, Darkhawk has a roughly 1 in 4 rate of participation to placement. That's right, beyond just putting up an effort that is nothing short of commendable, Darkhawk has earned 4 Crescents with a Diamond Star, 4 Crescents with a Ruby Star, 9 Crescents with an Amethyst Star and 3 Crescents with a Sapphire Star. Plus, remember when I mentioned being part of they group that "did everything" in the war? He has 22 Seals of Enmity in his trophy case because of that.

Darkhawk has also, despite the fact that his Consul completes the majority of reports at the Clan level for the unit, completed 5 news posts in his position. In these reports, he pushed and hyped events like the inter-Clan even with Taldryan, the Rite of Supremacy, and 2 instances in which Darkhawk ensured that our members were recognized for their efforts and kept in the know.

I feel that in closing this recommendation, I would be slightly negligent if I did not point out to Darkhawk's Seal of Loyalty. At risk of darkening myself in his eyes, Darkhawk was not one of my personal selections to receive a Seal back in May from the Clan. Even so, the excellence of my friend and comrade was recognized even by members outside of our wee corner of the club, in our small portion of this galaxy far, far away that we all take part in.

This recommendation only expresses a small portion of my gratitude towards and for Warlord Darkhawk Sadow. He has more than earned this small show of prestige, and I hope that he will forgive the brevity and the insufficient nature of this recommendation to express how much I appreciate his support and his friendship.

Congratulations, Darkhawk. May this be one of many, many a recognition to come for you in the years to come.

Primary reason

Since Aru’s last recognition, the Savant has served faithfully as Aedile for our Clan’s House Qel-Droma and as Magistrate to the Headmaster for over a year. He has organized 20 competitions as well as participated in, and I cannot make this up, 69 of them. As a result of his participation, he has earned 18 Clusters of Fire, 47. Clusters of Ice, 49 Clusters of Graphite for a total of 114 Clusters! For the RoS event, Aru was one of our clan’s heroes, earning a whopping 28 Seals of Enmity (good work!)

For the personal side of things, Aru has always brought an infectious energy to Clan Arcona and has inspired me in many ways. One of those things is to never give up. Even when he did not succeed the first time, he kept a good spirit and tried again. Along with his ambition, he has been very willing to show me the ropes of being an Aedile as well as share some of his wisdom gained in the position. Thank you, sir.

All in all, Aru has been a fantastic team player and leader and I would be proud to present to you a Sapphire Blade. Congratulations A-Aru!

Dr. Ben, 2021-12-28 21:13:35 UTC
Additional reasons

Since his last recognition for his service as Magistrate to the Headmaster, Aru was instrumental in helping the Brotherhood move from Telegram to Discord by leaping at the opportunity to write the Shadow Academy course for Discord. This work included monitoring the feedback and questions brought up by members in various channels and using those to build the outline of the course, collecting screenshots to visually document different processes and writing the initial draft of over 3,000 words.

While he didn’t get to complete the course before his resignation, he also outlined and wrote another 2,500 words for a Fundamental course revision that will be released next year when the changes it adjusts for take effect.

Aru came to the role of Magistrate with the best attitude and was fantastic to work with throughout his term. I’m happy to add my recommendation to support this award!

Ciara Tearnan Rothwell Tarentae, 2021-12-28 21:12:55 UTC

Aru served his term as Aedile with distinction. Not only offering invaluable assistance in maintaining our monthly activity records with aplomb, but also doing the lion’s share of work in our reports. He was instrumental in helping me run two House events (Law & Droma, and Port Ol’val Reconstruction vol 2), as well as a major House storyline RP. Whenever I was unable to meet the monthly reporting deadline due to IRL concerns, he was ready to pick up the slack and make sure we did not miss a report, and his bright and energetic attitude helped House Qel-Droma secure our amazing performance in the RoS: Escalation.

Further, with his help, we were able to refresh the House Wiki and maintain it to a much higher standard than previously. His fastidious effort in maintaining our data both numerical and literal was a hallmark of his term (in addition to the Bantha-cum-papershredder he ‘invited’ into his office).

For his service, I am proud and happy to support this sacramental award!

One of the recently appointed, but no less seasoned members of the Odan-Urr Summit, Xolarin had occupied the position of Battle Team Leader in Odan-Urr before taking a stroll around the galaxy racking up his experience points in leadership before returning home to Odan-Urr. While he currently occupies the position of Quaestor, before that he has served as Aedile of Ajunta Pall, Aedile of Liath, Aedile of Marka Ragnos, Quaestor of Marka Ragnos, Rollmaster of Taldryan, Proconsul of Taldryan and Battleteam Leader of Vanir. All this over a span of 5 years. Even taking a break from his radventures and joining the Rogues, Xolarin remained vocal on chat and submitting to competitions. The continued effort over a long span of time and under various positions of leadership, shows to me a certain devotion to the club and it’s members. Xolarin, as true for any good leader, works for the members.

Since his last award he has participated in 60 competitions earning himself 4 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, 3 Crescents with Sapphire Stars, 3 Crescents with Emerald Stars, 1 Crescent with Topaz Star and 3 Crescents with Quartz Stars. For his artistic abilities he has earned 4 Clusters of Graphite. In the Shadow Academy he’s passed 2 courses.

Ah, Xolarin, my best frenemy and rival in all things dark, and filled with many venomous sand panthers!

I jest, of course. Xolarin's time in Tal may have been short, but I had the pleasure of working with him on the Taldryan Summit whilst he was both Proconsul and Battleteam Leader of Vanir. Let me tell you, he's the kind of member you want on a summit. Engaged, approachable, and full of ideas.

Whilst he was Proconsul, Xolarin aided in the creation, judging, storyline, and organisation of the Unchained Malady Event between both Clan Taldryan and Clan Naga Sadow. When he eventually stepped down from Proconsul, he was the brain behind the creation of Battleteam Vanir within House Ektrosis, and created the Vanir Wiki Page detailing the Battleteam's purpose within the Clan and House. (He even did the art too!)

I'm glad to be able to offer this for Xolarin's recommendation! Congratulations on your Sapphire Blade, Xolarin! You've earned it!

Since his last recognition almost six months ago, Xolarin has really upped his game and became the backbone of the Herald staff. Not only is he a steady voice in the Staff’s Discord channel, offering ideas to the topics and encouragement to the rest of the staff, Xolarin also has made it his primary goal to tackle each and any Warbanner request that gets submitted the moment they come in. By doing this, he has processed a total of nineteen individual Warbanners for the membership of the Brotherhood. All this on top of his Clan and other Brotherhood activities. What can be said about Ira that others don’t already know? Since coming to us in February of this year, Ira has been both a powerhouse of activity and leadership. Let’s begin first by highlighting his leadership contributions. He was Aedile of House Sunrider for a span of 4 months. During that time he helped promote Clan and House activities, ran 3 weekly Community Events while also participating in 5, and during this time contributed to something that would change the course of the Clan forever.

Ira was actively engaged in our restructuring. He contributed greatly to drafting the proposal, drawing heavily from currently established lore to create the basis of our Houses and their fictional roles. Once our Houses had been completed, we took charge of the Consular Conclave for a span of 3 months, all to get his new House off the ground. He created the Consular Conclave wiki page, ran a series of competitions that allowed the members to build onto the lore and influence the future of the Conclave. Starting a new House is never easy, but starting one during an entire restructuring is a lot to ask of someone but I could not think of anyone better than Ira to man the helm.

Now onto his activities since his last award. He has participated in 73 competitions earning himself 1 Crescent with Ruby Star, 7 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, 6 Crescents with Sapphire Stars, 6 Crescents with Emerald Stars, and 1 Crescent with Quartz Star. For his gaming activities, he has earned 13 CLuster of Fire and 129 Clusters of Earth. He has written 804 words of fiction earning 3 Clusters of Ice, not including the 1060 words that he had put into the Consular Conclave page. Graphically, he’s earned 12 Custers of Graphite. He’s organized 7 competitions, published 3 reports all on time and during the last RoS where he heavily encouraged members to participate, he himself earned 13 Seals of Enmity.

Thank you Ira for helping make the Clan restructure possible and for your contributions to the Clan as an active and respectable member. Can’t wait to work with you on the Summit again. Congratulations on this well-earned Sapphire Blade!

When I returned to Odan-Urr it was Ira who helped not only get me up to speed but also became my co-conspirator on how we could work to improve the clan. Whether he was officially on summit or not his wisdom, drive and laser focus on the member experience proved invaluable in the development of many of the aspects of the clan as it exists today, most notably the two-house structure. To say he is missed on the current summit would be an understatement but he made sure to set up his successors for a bright future.

I have little doubt we will see him on the summit again once he is well-rested and the entire club will be better for it. In the meantime please accept this small token of the community's gratitude for all your contributions and advocacy, both official and unofficial.
