Aiden, Eleceos, Rhylance, Ben... A man of many names but the face behind it not only has gorgeous hair, but remains an unstoppable force within Arcona. Aiden was promoted to Elder 1 a good bit over 2 years ago now and he hasn't let that time go wasted. I'll start with the stats as I often do:

He has organised 34 competitions, co-organising 8 more. He has participated in 1014 competitions, 143 containers and in doing earned 14 Seals of Ascension, 13 Seals of Transcendence, 2 Gold Novae, 1 Silver Nova, 3 Bronze Novae and 646 Crescents. 130 Diamond (heh, my bad), 165 Ruby, 167 Amethyst, 122 Sapphire, 35 Emerald, 19 Topaz and 8 of Quartz. He's also been awarded in this time: 1 Anteian Cross, 2 Steel Crosses, 1 Grand Cross, 1 Sapphire Blade, 1 Amethyst Kukri, 1 Ruby Scepter and 1 Emerald Dagger. Honestly this alone, is a feat in of itself. He's a dark cross of a full award sweep of everything usually reasonably attainable to people over the course of several years, not merely two. However we will continue. Clears throat...

Across 50 gaming activities Aiden has gathered 52 Clusters of Fire and 354 Clusters of Earth. He has been granted 1 Seal of Loyalty as well as 27 Scrolls of Foundation for 115 courses graded and a Dark Side scroll. In his efforts to improve his art skills over the last year or so, he has not only come MILES in his skill, truly dedicating himself to practise makes perfect, and has earned 239 Clusters of Graphite. Not that he's let his writing slow down any either, earning 114 Clusters of Ice across 48 fiction activities. This includes 9 regular fiction activites and dm-ing 5 roleplays, as well as participating in 33 more rps. Aiden also passed 8 courses and earned 2 more degrees because why not. Through all of this, he's earned 25 Society rank ups, 2 of the shroud, 8 in ACC participant, 11 in Envoy Corps Participant, and the final 4 in Envoy corps Dm-ing.

All of this, while partaking in many positions and going through the trials of life simultaneously. During this time Aiden spent 2 months as Consul to Arcona, just over a year as Magistrate to the Headmaster, only stepping down this April, a Magistrate to the FIST for over a year and still going strong and as of the 13th of April this year, taking up the mantle as Magistrate to the Headmaster. He's impossible to stop moving and kark, I wouldn't want it any other way. He's a constant present in the clan channels and beyond, encouraging others on their art and engaging with his peers for stories both of real life and in character. He encourages the story telling of the club while simultaneously doing the same for the community. And the community is the most important part of that. The Dark Brotherhood is a writing club, that's what you sign up for, but what makes people stick around is the friends you make. It's the community bolstered by people exactly like Aiden, who step up when asked or when not, to help those in need and to be a reliable kind presence even in the quietest rooms.

Enjoy the skill points Aiden, and enjoy the rank. I'm proud to be the one pressing this button for you.

Aiden, Rhylance, Eleceos, no matter what name you know him by the man has been nothing short of unstoppable working behind the scenes in his various roles. As for his contributions to the Fist staff since his last promotion I scarcely know where to begin. He’s an absolute beast at keeping the queue running smoothly. I sleep easy at night knowing that Aiden’s experience, thoroughness and consistency will keep those clusters flowing to the gamers who earn them. Our standard is processing all gaming submissions within 24 hours, thanks in large to part to Aiden’s hard work I don’t think we’ve slipped on that standard in the past year he’s been on staff. Just to put things in perspective, he has, since rejoining the Fist staff last year personally processed 1037 gaming submissions in a timely and detailed manner directly supporting 144 members. This number accounts for 46% of all gaming clusters processed during that time. That’s extra impressive considering the Fist staff couldn’t touch the queue during the month or so the GJW was going on.

Building on what I detailed in a Ruby Scepter He's been involved in and provided critical input to the development of 6 new platform proposals, major policy changes for Casual Queue and Diablo 3, and the overhaul of the GMRG society rewards and progression. His experience and thoughtful analysis as a Fist staffer and member of the gaming community are invaluable to the office as we continue to make changes to improve one of our club’s activity pillar.

By any standard Aiden has walked the walked of an Elder and led the way in making contributions to the club. On behalf of the Fist Staff and the gaming community, thank you for everything you do. Arise a Master.

Councillor Turel Sorenn, 2024-05-20 15:02:46 UTC

While Aiden joined the Herald’s staff only a few weeks ago, he’s been on my radar since before I, myself, was appointed Herald. I’ve watched him grow from a budding talent into an accomplished and effective artist and he’s still constantly willing to try new stuff and grow. He walked into the Herald’s office with a singular plan: to supply his fellow members with quality art. It’s my honor to confirm that he’s taken to it with infectious gusto. Already, he’s teamed up with fellow staffers to deliver custom art and supplemented our ongoing projects with smart suggestions of his own. Not only that, he shouldered the additional work with an eagerness that I not only appreciate but admire.

It is with great pleasure that I join my fellow leaders to recommend you for a promotion to the rank of Elder 2. You have been a constant fixture in our club and I’ve come to know you for a hard working and generous individual. I cannot overstate your value as a member.

You truly deserve this.

Well done, my friend.

Bale Andros, 2024-05-20 21:02:00 UTC

I've had a bit of bad luck with magistrates, which made Aiden all the more valuable as the rock solid one. His primary duty was the write courses and he delivered like no other member of my staff has. Personal Starships, Personal Speeders, and Lightsabers, three nails in the coffin of the dreaded starship exams, exist today primarily due to his efforts. There are two more drafts waiting in the wings for a time when I can next get through a month without some sort of hospital visit for somebody, bringing the total to five and making him one of the most prolific contributors to the modern course catalogue.

One part of my revision plan is to spotlight DB artwork in the course notes, either work by members or at least work of their characters that they've commissioned. Again, Aiden was the solid foundation for that plan, contributing his own artwork to the notes for Personal Starships and the upcoming Droids course, which he also wrote.

Finally, he became one of the most dependable graders, particularly during the final months of his term after we lost Nora, another heavyweight in this area. In total, Aiden marked 115 exams, making him the most prolific M:HM when it comes to grading.

As I noted, Ben's work is still making it through the pipeline and this won't be the last time I write it up, but I'm more than happy to see him rise to the rank of EL2.

TuQ’uan Varick di Plagia
Primary reason

Titius has only been a member of Plagueis for a short period of time, but in the roughly two months since he joined our clan he has truly made himself feel at home and become indispensable to our summit. When some guy with a hat decided to leave the position of Quaestor of House Tyranus vacant, Titius was eager to jump at the chance to take his first steps into leadership within this club. And while nothing has blown up just yet (thankfully), he has gone a step further and taken up his first staff position in the club (but I’ll let Arch talk about that more later). While I only knew Titus as the fellow Canuck with a habit of blowing things up before he joined the clan, it was clear that he was passionate about this little corner of nerdom we call the DB, and the numbers will back me up on this. So, let’s do the normal rec thing and look at all those numbers, that long, long list of numbers.

Since his last promotion a mere 7 months ago, Titius has been tearing through absolutely every corner of the club looking for more things to do. This has led to him participating in a whopping 194 comps, not including containers, and earning a boat load of shinnies including 2 Crescent with Ruby Star, 8 with Amethyst Star, 5 with Sapphire Star, 8 with Emerald Star, 4 with Topaz Star and 1 with Quartz Star. On top of this we saw 11,357 words written between 2 ACC battles, 7 roleplaying activities and 13 fiction activities which combined for a well deserved 24 Clusters of Ice. One thing I learned about Titius is that he loves to game, I’ve seen him active in the gaming chat, chatting with members of Plagueis and giving them advice on games they can play in the club, but where it’s truly evident is in the 304 Clusters of Fire and 551 Clusters of Earth he has amassed over 87 gaming activities. On top of all of this, Titius has earned an additional 12 Clusters of Graphite, passed 4 Shadow Academy courses, earned 2 more degrees and has received 4 Scrolls of Foundation for reporting issues with the SA (all from before he even joined the staff!). All of these efforts have seen Titius rank up in every society (and twice in the GMRG) as well as both the ACC participant and 4 times in the Envoy Corps participant supplementary societies.

(Bear with me, I promise we are almost there!)

To say that Titius has been a welcome addition to the Plag summit is an understatement. Slags already talked about this in Titius’ Amethyst Kukri (oh yeah, he got one of those too! Who’s idea was it to give him something pointy?!) award just hours ago, but now it’s my turn. Titius has been eager and willing to learn, jumping straight into learning about our processes and expectations and getting to know the members of not only his house but the whole clan. When something is asked of him, Titius is all over it like it’s a grenade about to go off, making sure everything is taken care of properly and in a timely manner that puts the members of House Tyranus ahead of himself and making sure promotion and award recommendations are written and submitted as quickly as he can type them out. Hell, his first report was barely a week into being in the position and he knocked that out of the park! All-in-all, I can say with utter confidence that this well deserved and explosive promotion to Equite 3. Congratulations!!!

Additional reasons

Our dearly departed coffee fueled maniac Titius has been a force to be reckoned with since he showed up on our doorstep. Though he is no longer with Clan Scholae Palatinae, he did get his start with us. The fever pitch with which he attacks activities is beyond measure. All the numbers presented by in the recommendations of the leaders of Clan Plagueis corroborate that.

That constant flow of activity is missed by CSP, but we also celebrate the achievements of member who venture on beyond our Clan. Titius went to Plagueis to better himself and explore leadership opportunities. This appears to be paying off well for him!

While we do miss having him around, CSP is proud to have witnessed at least some of his ascension to this monumental level. Congratulations Titius! Keep up the fantastic work!

Thran Occasus-Palpatine, 2024-05-20 23:53:28 UTC

Titius has only been on my staff for just shy of a month, most of which I've spent dealing with RL instead of giving my newly hired staff the direction and training they deserve. However, within minutes of hiring, Titius made his presence felt. The HM staff channels have been very quiet since well before I took over--quiet to the point that it often felt like I was talking to myself. Titius and his two new colleagues immediately shattered that quiet, teeming with ideas and, when I made them drink from a firehose of SOPs and planning docs, begging me for more. Thus it's hardly surprising that he's already graded 15 exams, but this is only the tip of the iceberg for the career he has in front of him.

New members don't just walk into their first staff job with all of the knowledge and skills they'll need, but these things can be taught. I can't teach passion. That was the one thing I needed my new staffers to bring, and Titius made it clear to me immediately that he did. I eagerly await the chance to write a more thorough rec for his EQ4 promotion.

General Socorra Tenebrosa Nhar’qual Erinos
Primary reason

Since Hector’s last promotion he has spent the entirety of it as a leader, first as Quaestor for two years until clan structure change, then as Magistrate to the Consul as well as a member of the Exarch staff for a year each. He was rewarded for much of it with 1 AK, 2 SBs, and 3 Grand Crosses. In that time were two entire wars, as evidenced by the 10 and 11 seals he earned for each, including a silver novae. He also organized 8 competitions, participated in 222, with 258 gaming activities, 3 ACC battles (not including several TOs), and 47 fiction activities. That is 18 fictions with a total of 13867 words, 18! RPs with almost 24k words, and 7 DMd sessions for another 8k words. To go along with all of those activities are the crescents: 3 Diamond, 10 Ruby, 24 Amethyst, 12 Sapphire, 18 Emerald, 5 Topaz and 2 Quartz. The clusters as well: 47 Graphite (yes!), 104 Ice, and a whopping 2325 Clusters of Fire. While doing all of this he was also mentoring a student. Last but not least, is the Shadow Academy activity, with 7 courses passed and a (Masters/teaching) degree earned in both DB and IRL (congrats!).

The above is found on his dossier, but there is far more to be said than numbers. Hector welcomed Donny and I to Vizsla with open arms and I am so grateful for the welcome and everything he has done since. I knew very little when I came over and he has helped fill me in on the clan history and lore and summit, lots of possessions, and countless more subjects, making it easier for myself to settle in as Pcon and Con. He participates in every summit discussion and helps us make educated decisions while also participating in all sorts of club activities alongside our members, most notably RPs and gaming. He is one in the trifecta that makes this small but mighty summit, volunteering at every opportunity to help both us and members and returning with swift results. He serves as a fantastic example of a clan Magistrate and then some.

I had to save the best for last, the 1.8 million credits earned for Vizsla. We are undoubtedly better for having him, and I am thrilled to be writing this well deserved recommendation. Congratulations!

General Socorra Tenebrosa Nhar’qual Erinos, 2024-05-21 14:48:32 UTC
Additional reasons

I have had the esteemed privilege of writing numerous recommendations for Ricmore. I have had a bigger privilege of having him as a friend and clan mate. He is one of the most genuine and open members I know in this club. Always willing to jump in and help out. His knowledge of the various systems in the club is astounding and he willingly shares that knowledge with others to help them however he can. He is so deserving of this promotion and I can't be happier to congratulate him on his attaining Equite 4. Well done my friend.

Hand of the Emperor Korvyn, 2024-05-20 22:57:54 UTC

Hector has been, and remains, one of the foundational elements of Vizsla since I joined. He has assisted in educating Socorra and me about the history of the Clan, advising us on various members, traditions, elements of fiction, and possessions—the list goes on and on. He’s a wealth of knowledge, all of which he is willing to share (and share he does). In addition to being an exceptional magistrate, he is also active among the members, running RPs, gaming, etc.

All in all, this is a well-deserved promotion, and I look forward to seeing you continue on your path, Hector. Congratulations!

Creon Neverse has reached the required 23000 XP to reach the rank of Equite 3.

I’ve known Creon for quite sometime now and I can honestly say that he enjoys discussing and debating Star Wars, the Brotherhood, and Odan-Urr with passion. Part of the family, he has been helpful with his ideas and genuinely wants to help make this Clan a better place. Since his last promotion he has achieved and earned the following.

  • Organized 76 unique competitions
  • Participated in 132 competitions
  • Completed 4 ACC battles
  • Written over 18k words of fiction

In the process he has accumulated a stash which includes 1 Amethyst Kukri, 1 Sapphire Blade, 3 Grand Crosses, 2 Steel Crosses, 1 Bronze Nova, 1 Crescent with Diamond Star, 2 Crescent with Ruby Stars, 6 Crescent with Amethyst Stars, 11 Crescent with Sapphire Stars, 8 Crescent with Emerald Stars, 1 Crescent with Topaz Star, 2 Crescent with Quartz Star, 226 Clusters of Fire, 70 Clusters of Ice, 208 Clusters of Earth, 35 Clusters of Graphite, 2 Scrolls of Indoctrination, 19 Seals of Ascension.

Well done Creaon and thank you for all that you do, my friend!!

Mr Soft Paws, we meet again. It's been a long time since we got to convene for a promotion for you so let's get straight into it.

Doon has been leading the Voidbreaker for over a year now, running competitions and back in December a rp-mission event with a twisty-turvy story and is already in the plots for new things that I'll leave to others to discuss more deeply. Since his last promotion Doon has organised 9 competitions, co-organising 1 and has participated in 55, 12 of which containers and in doing so earned 2 Amethyst Crescents, 1 of Sapphire, 4 of Emerald and 2 Topaz. He also earned a seal of Loyalty, a Silver Nova and 11 Seals of Transendence. This has been in lieu of partaking in 25 roleplays, Dm-ing 6 and doing 5 other fiction activities, writing 144 Clusters of Ice worth of words. He has also completed 17 gaming activities, gathering 84 Clusters of Earth and because he's just completionist like that, he also grabbed 4 Clusters of Graphite along the way. All of that activity has seen him rise through the ranks, hitting two rank ups for the GMRG, 4 for the Inquisitorius, 2 for the Shroud, 5 in the Players Gonna Play trophy and 4 in the Dm-ing Rp trophy tracks for the Envoy Corps. This, all while doing what I stated above in his actions as a Battleteam leader.

However he has been more than just the typical BTL. Tali has this noted on Doon's dossier:

"Doon displayed exemplary leadership and support to our placeholder Consul, Zuza, during the tumultuous shakeup in Arcona's leadership. He aided Zuza in crafting the membership-facing announcement and provided his own guidance and explanations towards the members of Clan Arcona to tide us over the worst of the storm."

And while this may be touched upon by others I'd like to go indepth on this. Because Doon was a vital piece in the transition period this January. Every report I made, the application I sent to Bubba, all of it had his paw involved. He built skeleton structures for me to work off of when I had no idea where to start. Which happened more than once frankly. He provided wordings that said the words I truly meant when I was struggling to find them for reports and channel announcements, without any hesitation or judgement. He was on the ground with the members but he was an anchor keeping me steady. Doon spent hours not just helping with all of that, but just talking to me. The amount of rambling he put up with that month in VCs is probably more than I'd actually want to write down in a permanent medium.

Doon is a quiet person, many might not know him too well outside of Qel-Droma, but if there is anything to know about Doon, it is that he is there when it matters. Not only will he do everything he can to not only support you, he'll be there to make sure the job gets done. That is a trait of a leader that you can't really teach and one I'm happy to cherish.

Enjoy the extra skill points Doon, they're more than deserved.

Envoy Zuza Lottson, 2024-05-20 22:20:19 UTC
Additional reasons

Doon's career as BTL has taken a clear and distinct upwards trajectory of late, though I will not claim this has anything to do with my guidance. It takes a village to raise a child, and so too I will say it takes to raise a BTL. I am glad that Doon has received the mentoring and guidance from my peers to help him flourish in his position and I am more than pleased to see all the ways he has grown and continues to develop as a by-now permanent fixture in the Arconan Summit!

I hired Doon back in ye olden days to run RPs and spice up that side of the club's activities as they were new and novel at the time. I am glad to see that this has been achieved and then some!

Doon has also found his voice in the Summit, both as a helpful aide to the House Qel-Droma side of things, but also the Summit in general. He has grown to understand and appreciate the Arconan spirit as a whole and his voice carries much gravitas despite ostensibly being 'only' a BTL.

It has been my utmost pleasure to work with you, Captain Softpaw! And I look forward to seeing what future adventures you will guide the Voidbreaker II and her crew to!

All the best and congratulektions on a well-earned promotion!

When I became QUA, I was completely frayed with nerves but Doon was a welcome presence. He was there when you needed him.

Zuza and Tali already covered a lot about him so I'll just cover a few surprises coming up! Doon has an amazing idea for the Voidbreaker soon and I cannot wait to see that roll out! He also did great storytelling when he ran a Voidbreaker rp back in 2023!

Seriously cannot wait to see what more stories he'll bring to the table.

What a busy few months it's been for Arcona's favourite door-faceplanter. It was only in Feburary that I last got to write a promotion up for Sofila and frankly I'm not surprised it only took her a matter of months to reach this. So, to get it rolling, let us look at the numbers.

Sofila organised 8 competitions, co-organising 2 more. She participated in 315 comps, 56 of which containers and earned 74 Crescents for her efforts. 5 Diamond, 10 ruby, 19 Amethyst, 18 Sapphire, 9 Emerald, 5 Topaz and 8 Quartz. She has also gathered 30 Clusters of Graphite, a Seal of Loyalty, a Scroll of the Master, a Dark side scroll, a Sapphire Blade, an Amethyst Kukri and air drum roll... 1148 Clusters of Fire and 35 Clusters of Earth across 105 gaming activities. But of course it doesn't stop there, Sofila also earned 144 Clusters of Ice across 11 Fiction comps, 21 participant roleplays and 3 dm-ing spints. Oh, as well as passing 3 courses for 3 degress for pure efficency too. This has earned her 2 rank ups in the Collegium, 1 in the Inquisitorius, 2 in the Shroud and one in the Envoy Corps Organiser tree, and all together garnering a total of 1,228,150 credits for Arcona.

And all of this while being the leader of the House Qel-Droma. Since her move to Quastorship, we had the Clan Event during which she encourgaed her members to partake as well as being a major contender herself, in the few weeks since the final wrap up of the big event Sofila has been on the ground running and preparing for the next thing. Not only in events, but also in preparing for Tali's departure. House reports have continued to come through consistently with useful information for the membership and I believe Sofila has been more than ready for when the support wheels come off for a while now. It's wonderful to watch her craft stories and how easily she takes new information on to make sure the story stays true. She has incredible attention to detail when it comes to stories or just handling her own membership. As long life permits her to be, she will be the beating heart of Qel-Droma and cast her silhouette over the shadowyiest part of the Shadow Clan.

Sof cares about this club as a whole. No matter who you are, or what niggly piece of information it is that's been lost. Afterall, it wasn't long ago that, as notated by Arch, that Sofila created a whole wiki-page guide to help others create trivias and understand the process so it'd be more accessible. Nor is it ever that long ago from the last time she supported someone, joked or gathered someone for gaming. Or rambled about Taco Bell.

Be active and activity will follow you. This is something I watch every day in her wake and it's a point of pride to get to be the one pressing the green button on this. You've got this Jenni.

Envoy Zuza Lottson, 2024-05-20 19:36:11 UTC
Additional reasons

Sofila or Jenni as most of us know her has only been with the Fist office for a little over a month but has already hit the ground running. She dived into training to work the queue and has already identified areas where both our public facing and internal documentation needed updating. She has been an eager and vocal participant in staff discussions on our recent policy changes and the addition of a new platform. In this short time working the queue she has processed 125 gaming submissions in a timely manner directly supporting 57 unique members.

Before officially joining the Fist staff Jenni has been a consistent and uplifting part of the gaming community. She helped me test the functionality of the Scriptly transcription bot to help our deaf/hard of hearing members more fully participate in Discord voice activities such as gaming and hangouts and helped test the pingable gaming roles we initially rolled out. Jenni brings people together, welcomes anyone to join in whatever game she’s able to play and will never leave you hanging in Dead by Daylight :P

So on behalf of the Fist staff and gaming community at large, thank you Jenni for being so eager, uplifting and a tangible positive influence on our community.

"Miss. Wyvern," Anderson raised a glass of Coruscanti Red to her sudden achievement, a coy smile stretched across his face. "Well done."

In all seriousness, Jenni is a lite firecracker that transcends Clan boundaries. She's literally everywhere, participating, chatting, writing, gaming, you name it, she does it. It doesn't take being in the same Clan to realise that and I'm not surprised she's reached EQ4.

Congratulations, Jenni! sips wine.

Grand Inquisitor "Aequitas" Anderson, 2024-05-20 16:53:24 UTC

Another month, another Jenni promotion!

All jokes aside, you are amazing and I am glad the system has changed such as to recognize people like yourself for your constant dedication and activity unlike the past one we had. It is a remarkable thing to witness, like a tornado or tsunami of Clusters...

Since we hot-swapped seats in the HQD Summit, I've been pleased to see Jenni has taken well to her new seat as Quaestor. She has worked both diligently, and with due deference for the past, without letting all the choices of history constrain her creativity too much. She consults those in the know, yet only to the point that she knows from where to leap off into the unknown.

In our House chat, she remains active and engaged, eagerly hyping the achievements of our membership and going above and beyond to make everyone feel seen. How she finds hours in the day to do all she does, I'll never know. Mayhaps Sof has come across some archeotech left behind my Miss Granger...?

As a retiring lek, I wish to extend my deepest thanks to you, Sof, for giving me the best gift a Quaestor could ask for; a worthy successor that will hopefully outshine my legacy.

Congratulektions, Jenni!
