Equite 4 is the pinnacle of the Equite ranks and there are few I can think of who deserve it more than Seraphol, or DS as most know him. Frankly, I think of him as an Elder. His dossier is old enough to drive in most jurisdictions, yet he stands shoulder to shoulder with the youngest members offering both wisdom and a solid comrade to do any activity with. As I've said many times before, I cannot imagine COU or the Brotherhood without him. He is a leader, a mentor, a staunch advocate for members and someone I'm proud to call my friend.
In the twenty months since his last promotion, DS has served a combined 10 months on summit. As a leader he has organized or co-organized a total of forty eight competitions including the recent Renewal of the Light Clan event which garnered twenty three unique participants. He worked diligently behind the scenes on House Shan's new planet Daleem and was instrumental to the development of our post-Posessions armed forces.
I preach "lead from the front" activity-wise to my subordinate leaders and DS never disappoints. In fact, he holds me accountable. As an individual member he has participated in 173 competitions, winning twenty one Crescents since his last promotion. In that same period he has earned A Grand Cross for activity and leadership, two Steel Crosses for activity, twelve Pendants of Blood, 1970 Clusters of Fire, eighteen Clusters of Ice, 924 Clusters of Earth, and four Legions of the Scholar. He also received an Anteian Cross, and two Dark Crosses for his recruitment efforts.
I know this day has been a long time coming for DS and I'm proud to have some small part in making it happen. Congratulations my friend!

I've been in the Brotherhood for almost 5 years now, in that time I can safely say I've never known anyone to be more dedicated than Daniel Stephens. No matter what the situation you will always be able to find DS actively creating and championing all manner of competitions. He displays greatness as both a member and a leader in the Club and I can say that we are surely honored and humbled to have him in Clan Odan-Urr. His efforts and dedication for the Clan have already seen him become one of our most recent Clan title holders and it is about time we saw him receive EQ 4.
As an individual DS shows himself to be kind and fair, despite his 'old and grouchy' exterior. Without him the Clan as a whole would be significantly worse off, his efforts in Brotherhood Gaming and providing a solid foundation for other Odanite gamers has been a huge contributing factor to the Clan being in such a consistently strong position regarding our Gaming.
Daniel Stephens is someone whom I know to be well en route to becoming an Elder and I am proud to be given the opportunity to be a part of his next, well deserved promotion.
Congratulations my (much older) Brother.
Mar Sûl, 2017-01-03 02:49:10 UTC
At various points in the last year and a half or so, I've joked around with with others in Odan-Urr and beyond about the typical Seraphol application: "Don't hire me if y'all have anyone else with a pulse." They tell you a lot about the guy, actually.
First, he doesn't feed you BS. He doesn't just tell you what you want to hear, he doesn't toot his own horn, and he doesn't give you a goal and treat it like something already accomplished. Sera has plans, but he doesn't treat them as unassailable masterpieces. He's honest about what's possible or when he doesn't know exactly how to solve a problem that he's identified, but he's willing to work to find out.
He shows up. I've known Sera to have problems at work, problems with his house, and problems with his health. He stepped down as Rollmaster very early in his term because he was physically incapable of doing the job to his own satisfaction. But if he's able, he's willing. Sera consistently volunteers his service everywhere he thinks he can be useful. When I needed an Aedile, he stepped up without hesitation. And Seraphol is not a glory hound. He's not angling for a promo or a medal. He gets bashful if you even compliment him on his hard work. If there are other people who want to take on a position, Old Man Seraphol doesn't want to block their shot.
Of course, just being present and making a lot of noise doesn't make you a leader. Since taking on the job of Satele Shan's AED, Sera has been indispensable. As QUA, I rely on his advice. He's brought a bunch of activity to the House by running competitions, particularly his jigsaw series, and publicizing others' competitions through a weekly email. The name and lore of the Garza's Pathfinders battleteam was largely his idea. And, perhaps most telling, he ran the Renewal of the Light anniversary series for the Clan effectively by himself, because he wanted all of the other sitting Summit members to be able to participate in all the competitions.
EQ4 is supposed to represent a member who is a cornerstone of the club, someone who is passionate about it and who has done much to keep it running over the years. I can think of no more fitting honor for a man like Seraphol than this promotion, which was a long time coming. Congratulations, my friend.
- Commander Alethia Archenksova, 2017-01-01 08:59:26 -0500
Since others have more than listed Seraphol's numbers, awards, leadership time and service to the SA. I will bring myself to talk about his spirit, his devotion, his loyalty and more importantly his genuine care for not only the Clan as a whole but for every single member he comes in contact with. I have known Seraphol for a few years now and i know him to be "opinionated" and "vocal". Some people thinks he just does it to be a troll but he really doesn't it out of passion. He sees a problem that affects the club as a whole and does everything in his power to help fix it. There are not many people that would care this much to do whatever it takes to help, but that is exactly what Seraphol does.
I have also gamed and chatted with Seraphol for many many hours over the course of the years and he has become a very close friend. When you want to earn clusters he is there to help, do you have a comp or fiction idea he makes a great sounding board to work out the kinks. It's rare to fine someone of Seraphol's character but we are lucky to have him.
I'm truly honored and privileged to be able to write this recommendation for not only a great Leader in the DJB but always my dear friend.
Congratulations my friend the wait for Eq 4 is over!

Daniel "Seraphol" Stephens (or DS, as I'm going to call him for the rest of this recc) is a force of nature, and I'm happy that in addition to everything else he does for his Clan he's able to work for us in the Shadow Academy. During the course of the audit, DS was asked to just lightly proof his courses; he's the Professor of the Legends Department, after all, and we don't expect those courses to be canon-based. However, he provided substantial rewrites instead which made the entire department that much better.
Beyond his efforts to make his courses better, he's also maintained the traditional grading expectation of a Professor. In his tenure as a Professor, DS has graded 115 courses with an excellent average grading time of 9 hours. In our mind, DS is unquestioningly worthy of this promotion, which is why we are so pleased to add our voices to this recommendation. Congrats, DS!

Mar Sul, or Cable as most know him, has been a steady contributor to Odan-Urr and beyond during his tenure as an EQ2. During that period he served a total of ten months on the summits of two Clans. Cable is a content creator, as I detailed in his Grand Cross, he near single handily conceived, wrote and developed the Rise of the Force Ascendant Clan event which was COU's most successful internal event to-date and paved the way for the events that followed. He has (co)organized a total of fifteen competitions for his fellow members to enjoy. Even when he wasn't in a formal summit position Cable still contributed content for the members. He was brought in early in the develop of our new Clan system and produced detailed write-ups on potential concepts for House planets. Not all of his ideas were implemented in the final versions but the considerable work he put into the project enabled a solid foundation for the Kiast system and House Shan's planet Daleem in particular.
Beyond his summit work, Cable also has a strong record of individual activity. Since his last promotion he has participated in seventy seven competitions garnering twenty four Crescents, thirty nine Clusters of Fire, two Pendants of Blood, a Legion of the Scholar and nineteen Clusters of Ice.
It's my honor to submit Cable for elevation to the upper equites where I am certain he will continue to produce high quality content for our members. Congrats my friend!

The activity and numbers Turel has already mention speak volumes about Mar already. In reality it's his spirit, cool temper and his hard work that makes me think he will be a great Proconsul for COU and someone i look forward to working with for a very long time!
Congratulations Mar this was well earned and much deserved promotion!

Cable was with us a short time in Naga Sadow as our Rollmaster, but he fit in quickly. He also set to work to overhaul our Black Guard program, which cut down the number of Black Guards at one time and created a new scoring system to complete this. Cable was a well liked member who took his role as Rollmaster seriously in contacting and communicating with members. I'm happy to see him promoted to Seer. Congratulations!

If the mark of an upper equite is one who produces for the greater good instead of merely consuming then there are few who embody that ideal more than Corvus Corax. In the past thirteen months he has given so much to the Clan and the Brotherhood without asking anything in return. Having been Proconsul and Consul during that entire period I can confidently state that Clan Odan-Urr would not be where it is today without Corvus' efforts on our summit. He has served continuously for seven months, first as the founding BTL of Zireal, a bold experiment in enhancing the experience of our newer members, and as our Rollmaster. In both positions Corvus was directly responsible for not only integrating our new members and guiding them to Knight but also for advising the summit on initiatives to retain our current membership of all ranks. The results of his tireless efforts behind the scenes and sage advice speak for themselves, as of writing this Odan-Urr is the second largest unit in the Brotherhood (trailing the largest Clan by only one member) and five members reached Knighthood during his summit tenure. Corvus has had a direct impact on the health of our roster, which can be measured in the hundreds of messages and hours spent in various communication platforms guiding, listening, advising and mentoring members of all ranks and the larger summit.
As if his contributions as a summit members were not enough, Corvus consistently ranks as one of our lead members in individual activity. He was the top individual competitor in COU's feud with Plagueis, 1st place in the Remember New Tython Clan event, 3rd place in the Renewal of the Light Clan event, and 3rd place in the Battle Formations Clan event. He is absolutely one of the Clan's heavy hitters. Since his last promotion he has participated in ninety four competitions and has received a Grand Cross, a Dark Cross, a Gold Nova, thirty three Crescents, one Cluster of Fire, fifty one Clusters of Ice, ten Clusters of Earth, and four Clusters of Graphite.
It is my distinct honor to recommend Corvus' elevation to the upper equite ranks. I can honestly say that his service and leadership are an inspiration to me. Congrats!

Clearly Turel has illustrated our dear Rollmaster's numbers and they are quite impressive to say the very least but besides being active and participating in as much as he can. He is a great at his job as well, he brings a strong team mentality to the position that makes my job as Aedile so much easier. He is constantly looking for ideas and advice from the summit to help make new members feel right at home.
Then for what I will say is more important is that Corvus created a program in which a new member can make his way through the early ranks within Zirael in a relaxed and very meaningful way. He takes them under his wing and helps them to understand their Clan and the houses in their fiction and actually sense. This helps the new members learn about the Clan and the members of the Clan so they can make a educated choice on what their first real step in the Clan and the DJB will be. It is awesome to see him at work for sure.
It truly is a honor and a privilege t work with Corvus and it's even more fun interacting with him on a daily basis within the clan and working directly with him on making COU the best and the most fun Clan in the DJB.
Congratulations Corvus you definitely earned this promotion and Welcome to EQ3!

If leadership is about mentoring and tutoring, then Corvus is a great leader. If leadership is about being available and answering questions in a timely manner, then Corvus is a great leader. If good membership is about being with your fellow members and doing competitions and playing games and having fun at every level, then Corvus is a great example of that. And if being courteous and willing to help and always there for the clan are signs of true friendship, then Corvus is a dear friend.
As the one who welcomed me into DJB (alongside Turel), and who mentored me into the Zirael BTL role, Corvus has shown all of the attributes above throughout my stay here. Even though we do not converse as much now that I moved to PLA, he has been there and has been friendly throughout. He is a key member of the COU summit and the Clan and Brotherhood in general. He is an exemplary leader and member, and a kind and generous mentor and friend.
If anyone is deserving of a promotion give the above, I can think of few others. I give my dearest congratulations and thanks to Mr. Corax!
Seer Xolarin, 2016-12-31 20:06:50 UTC
I first met Corvus - then known as Seridan - just a few months before his last promotion, when he welcomed me to Odan-Urr as my Aedile. My immediate impression was that he was kind and helpful, and every single interaction I've had with him since has reinforced that. It was his example that I tried to follow when I ended up taking on that AED position myself several months later. As Rollmaster, and before that as Zirael BTL and de facto Deputy Rollmaster, I've seen the positive influence Corvus has on Odan-Urr's newest members. But he also goes far beyond what we would normally expect of an RM. For example, just last month Corvus approached me to see if there was anything he could do to help Satele Shan's Summit, and quickly gave me some quality feedback on our in-progress wiki update.
I never really appreciated what a beast he is until the Battle Formations inter-House feud, where Corvus proved to be a top-tier competitor in both quality and quantity. This has been standard throughout his career in the Brotherhood.
Congratulations, my friend, and never change!

Furios Morega has been one of the pillars of Clan Plagueis for many years now, both as a leader and as a individual. He has been a powerhouse of activity as well as a member that has made the transition from consumer to producer, serving both our Clan as Aedile and Battleteam Leader as well as the Brotherhood as a whole as a Magistrate. Very few members that I've had the pleasure of working with have been so focused on making the Brotherhood around them a better place for all instead of just a better place for themselves. Furios has always had his eye toward the former goal, and has done an outstanding job of helping reach that goal as well.
On the level of personal activity, he has always been there for his Clan during major events: 9 entries in the Plagueis Sphere of Influence feud, 5 entries for Fading Light, 8 for the Anchorage feud, 11 for Great Jedi War XI, 14 entries across all three rounds of the Restoration feud, 31 entries for the three clan Aftermath event, and 20 entries for the recently completed Plagueis Winter Trials. His efforts and individual competition placements always stood him in good stead during these events: 3rd place in the Sphere of Influence feud, 2nd place in the Anchorage feud, 5th place in the Restoration feud, 4th place in Aftermath, and 2nd place for the Plagueis Winter Trials. No other member of Plagueis has maintained such a consistent level of competitive excellence for even half as long as Furios has. In total since his last promotion, he has participated in 152 competitions and earned 1 Silver Nova, 50 crescents (5 Ruby, 9 Amethyst, 22 Sapphire, 10 Emerald, 2 Topaz, and 2 Quartz), and 1 Legion of the Scholar. As a gamer, he has 61 PvP activities and 189 PvE activities reported and has earned 336 Clusters of Fire, 1,397 Clusters of Earth, and 12 Pendants of Blood. As a fiction author, he has submitted to 25 fiction activities for a total of 11,627 words, 3 run-on posts totaling 2,732 words, and completed 1 match in the ACC. These efforts have also earned him 27 Clusters of Ice. To round out this flurry of activity, he has also been a dedicated student at the Shadow Academy, completing 13 courses as well as 5 degrees (3 Mavens, 1 Savant, and 1 Sage).
Not content to simply be a powerhouse of individual activity, Furios has been an excellent leader as well. At a one on one level he was Master to both Ra'gnar and Azmodius Equesinfernum, mentoring them both to the rank of Knight and earning 2 Scrolls of the Master. A testament to Furios's guidance, both of these members remain active parts of Clan Plagueis even 2 years after their knighthood. At the institutional level, Furios has served as Aedile of House Ajunta Pall and now as Battleteam Leader of our new Battleteam, The Circle. His time as Aedile coincided with some of the most productive times for House Ajunta Pall, where I worked with him to build on the success the House had seen to create even more activity. Without Furios, none of that would have been possible. In addition, since his return to Plagueis his service to The Circle has been invaluable. The Circle is a battleteam specifically for our new members, helping shepherd them through their initial contact with the Brotherhood and guiding them to the Journeyman ranks. Furios also wrote much of the new fictional background of his new unit, and personally wrote over half of the wiki article for his unit. His seasoned leadership has brought a steadying hand to our Battleteam and the new members within it, and he has worked closely with our Rollmaster to ensure the future of Plagueis can remain bright.
Furios also spent over a year working as a Magistrate to the Fist in charge of the Brotherhood's presence in The Old Republic. Following many trials and tribulations, he came in and righted the ship and helped create a more healthy and positive TOR environment. Much of what he did there is detailed in this recommendation, but I will attempt to summarize: He revamped the reward structures for TOR through testing, prepared the Guild for a new expansion launch, and rebuilt the officer structure from the ground up. Watching him do that work and lead weekly raids, I knew that the Brotherhood's TOR presence was doing about as well as it had since the launch of the game.
Furios's excellent service to the Brotherhood has been recognized several times since his battlefield promotion during the Dark Crusade. In that time, he has been awarded 1 Dark Cross, 2 Grand Crosses, and 1 Sapphire Blade. The recommendations for these awards speak to the high levels of excellence that Furios has always maintained as a member of Plagueis and the Brotherhood at large. As a tribute to his long time service and consistent dedication, it gives me great pleasure to submit his name for advancement to the rank of Equite 3. It's been a long time coming, my friend, and it is well deserved!

Azmodius Equesinfernum has always been a member that's been an active contributor to Clan Plagueis. Even book-ending a period of time spent in the Rogues, Asmodius has had a very productive time since his last promotion. He was a major player in our Restoration: Ascendant event last year, earning an Antiean Cross for his efforts there. He then came on again with a vengeance during our recent Plagueis Winter Trials event, participating in 19 of the competitions offered while placing in 5 of them. He earned 144.5 points while securing 5th place, the highest finish of any Plagueis member not on the Summit.
In total since his last promotion, Azmodius has participated in 38 competitions and earned 10 crescents (1 Ruby, 2 Amethyst, 4 Sapphire, and 3 Emerald) for his placements. In gaming he has entered 2 PvP activities and 7 PvE activities, netting him 4 Clusters of Fire, 12 Clusters of Earth, and 2 Pendants of Blood. He has also submitted to 3 fiction activities to the tune of 2,740 words to earn 2 Clusters of Ice.
When we've had him, Azmodius has been one of the best and most active Plagueis members. His activity to date has been much appreciated, and it gives me great pleasure to recommend him for promotion to the rank of Equite 1. Congratulations, Azmodius! Welcome to the halls of the Equites.
