Primary reason

Knight Catmatui was recruited by Seer Raistline Taldrya Majere, Catmatui has been a lovely addition to Taldryan, a productive member, and an all-around good person to be around. Catmatui has been an active member of Taldryan competing in 60 competitions, battled it out in over 42 PvP matches earning 105 Clusters of Fire, she has earned 5 Clusters of Earth by competing in mobile gaming aswell. Of the 60 competitions that she has competed in she has earned 20 different crescents ranging from Topaz through Ruby, so not only is she averaging 4.28 competitions a month she has taken a place in 30% in all of them. She earned 6 Seals of Revelation for her participation in the 11th Great Jedi War, along with 4 Seals of the Crusader for participating in Fading Light: Nicht Ka. Catmatui has even organized competitions within Taldryan, hosting Cap This 2. She earned a Steel Cross of the Brotherhood for her continued her tremendous streak of activity in the House. Her efforts are consistently tremendous, and it is wonderful to see such a new member continue to be so productive. Catmatui is general pleasure to have around is a great addition to Taldryan, for her hard work and her continuous activity, Catmatui should be promoted to Warrior.

Additional reasons

Cat is a quiet strength in Taldryan. Instead of talking trash online she just kicks ass. On average she has four competition submissions per month and I have come to anticipate that she will walk away with a solid placement in one of those. Cat is also deadly with a pazaak deck. When members ask her to play a few hands she never refuses and rarely looses. For her solid activity I believe my former apprentice deserves to be promoted to the rank of Warrior.

Raistline Taldrya Majere, 2015-12-27 21:49:28 UTC

Cat is an interesting member of Taldryan. She's competitive, having participated in 60 competitions since her last promotion - and she's damm successful at it too, having earned 20 crescents from it. 33% victory rate? That is nothing to shake a stick at. Along the same lines, she was also an active participant and a great help in our Great Jedi War team - having competed in six events. She's also a pretty great gamer, having earned over 100 Clusters (of Fire and Earth, mostly Fire) in her time. For her efforts in competition(s) and the 11th GJW, Cat was awarded a Steel Cross by my Proconsular predecessor. For her efforts and her victories over the past year, Knight Catmatui should be promoted to Warrior! Congratulations Cat!

A Journeyman applies their work and will towards themselves. An Equite applies it to their Clan, and starts, ideally, to give back some of the due they were given through taking on leadership roles of their own. As one advances through those ranks, we watch and look for greater impact, for an outreach not only in personal achievements and Clan involvement, but also for steps towards Brotherhood influence as a whole.

Emily Hune, known best as Rhiann, has, in her softly-stepping fashion, achieved more of all three of these than most members typically approaching Equite II, particularly in her Brotherhood involvement. Many members of the early Equite ranks today find themselves struggling to either break out of the mold of strictly personal activity or to balance that personal activity and the jobs or duties they may take on. Rhiann is not most members, succeeds in reaching out to and aid others. On a purely personal level, Rhi has collected both 69 Clusters of Earth and 130 Clusters of Fire, and 8 Pendants of Blood from various PvE and PvP Gaming matches, as well as 29 Clusters of Ice for a total of 12,665 words of fiction from 11 fictional activities and 1 ACC match, and an additional 2213 words of fiction over three Run-On posts. Some of these were for a massive, unique cooperative event between Clan Arcona and Clan Odan-Urr, Tides of Change. Rhiann's two fiction entries in the particular competition both waltzed smoothly into third place in these individual and cooperative fictions, earning her a pair of Amethyst Crescents. Those two Crescents complimented a slew of others, totaling 8 other Amethyst Crescents, five Sapphire Crescents, one* Emerald Crescent, **twoTopaz Crescents, and one Quartz Crescent, all garnered from 17 placements out of the 52 competitions Rhiann has participated in since she was last promoted. She has also earned one Scroll of Indoctrination for recruiting another member to our lovely Brotherhood. However, Rhi does not stop at merely participating and placing in competitions: she has also organized and run 15 competitions on her own, and co-organized 6, not only for her Clan and Battleteam but also for the Brotherhood at large through the Herald's office.

That's right - a Battleteam and Herald work. Rhi first came to Arcona off a two month stint as House - now Clan - Odan-Urr's Rollmaster, to which some of her then-summiteers can attest. Modest but not the least bit shy, Rhiann volunteered immediately for leadership in Arcona, citing her ever-present desire to help other members. She started off applying for Battleteam Apex Brigade's Sergeant slot, and served as their second-in-command for three months, helping her Battleteam leader, Ernordeth, with his duties, such as emailing the team and organizing competitions and reports. When Ernordeth needed to step down to focus on balancing his real life and FIST staff duties, it was without worry, for Rhiann had more then shown herself to be ready for a chance at Battleteam Leader. She took up the position with graceful dedication, never one to boast, but always one to get the job done. Rhiann spent her four months' time as Apex's commander consistently posting four monthly reports, constantly emailing the members of her team to keep in touch and talk about activity, and running a fair few competitions specially for Apex Brigade.

Even once Apex Brigade was ultimately closed in order to consolidate the House's member base, Rhiann did not lose faith or inspiration as some might have. I have said before that there is steel in her, and I say it again now. Rhiann took charge in emailing her members about the team's closure, encouraging them to join Qel-Droma's remaining Battleteam, Shadow Gate, whose Battleteam Leader position she assumed. It has been nearly a month since then, and in her time as Shadow Gate's new leader, Rhiann has only continued to perform beautifully alongside her newly-selected Sergeant, K'tana. Rhi took Kat underwing and, together, the two had their first excellent report out in short order, complimented by various emails, status check-ins, and encouragements to their members throughout the weeks. After that, she went on to help create and serve as Battleteam Sergeant of a new Battleteam, Tyrant Sword, later called Styx. All Rhi's exceptional communication work in both emailing members and posting 8 total reports in her leadership career is simply commendable.

However, as mentioned earlier, Rhiann is not only steeled, but selfless. She does not focus only on her Battleteam, or even only on her Clan: she has been doing work for the entire Brotherhood as a Magistrate to the Herald for nearly nine months and then as a Praetor for the last five months. Though her superiors in the Herald office will elaborate further on her exact accomplishments and extraordinary work ethic, I will say that it is my belief that this unfailingly generous Herald work, extended to all members of the Brotherhood far and wide, Journeyman to Elder, that truly deserves Equite II. It is a select handful of members that can balance regular leadership and membership along with the rigors of a Magistrate or Praetor position, and even fewer who can handle one as demanding and often underplayed as one on the Herald staff.

There exist certain people in this world with threads of steel woven underneath their skin, hidden by fair faces or soft voices and cast-aside eyes. People who we must not mistake for their masks. Rhiann is one of those people. However, it is not her quiet personal strength that we look towards now, but where she applies it. Looking at all these reasons, at her expansive breadth of activity and at her selfless dedication and service to the other members around her, I often find myself quietly awed by Rhiann. She fights each day to make the next better than the last, to inspire her people to hold their heads high, and to better the Brotherhood. For that, we say congratulations, Rhi.

Additional reasons

Emily Hune (aka Rhi) is one of those members that does a lot of good work for the Club, yet you hardly hear about them. She is hardworking and humble, and a good artist to boot. Ever since I joined the Office, she has done warbanners. This was her main task for a long time and she took it willingly. Some would say, "Oh, warbanners. They're simple, right?" No. Not at all. It may seem so to someone who's never opened a 200+ layer Photoshop file, though. It's still daunting work getting so many different warbanners done, examined, revisited, examined again (revisited again, if need be) and then only when the member is completely satisfied, uploaded to their dossier. And she has done 82 of those since her last promotion. When we were considering making new additions to the warbanners back when Socorra ran the office, Rhi gave several good ideas and supplied several designs that were to be considered.

Furthermore, Rhi has been very active in other pursuits such as weapons, where she created 3 in total, as well as 8 (which include 168 different variations) robes for our members to enjoy that we have released in the latest Holiday special.

Rhi has also completed 140 Crusade Cases and has, for all intents and purposes, lead the Crusade Case project after Socks stepped down. These were made in under two weeks, all cross referenced with spreadsheets given to us by our Senechal, every Crusade Case created by hand and uploaded with only one mishap that was easily rectified. In a mere two weeks she has completed the project with the help of Mirus and myself.

She's a hard worker who's always looking to improve herself, and even if she's sometimes in the shadows behind the rest of the team, there is no one we value more in our office than our Rhi. For all her work and dedication, this promotion is way overdue.

Thanks Rhi, for all the things you've done, and are still doing. Congrats.

Captain Morgan Sorenn, 2015-12-26 23:20:48 UTC

Rhiann and I have worked on summits together going back to my time as a BTL and her’s as RM in Odan-Urr. When she came to House Qel-Droma I immediately set about finding a way to put her to work. Rhiann isn’t flashy or loud like some of the Brotherhood’s bigger stars, but she is something more. She possess a quiet and caring determination to see a task through to the end. She gives of herself and her tremendous talent without any thought of praise or reward.

I placed her into a challenging position, first at BTS then BTL of a struggling Battleteam. She accepted the challenge without hesitation and went immediately to work rallying the team through a Clan event and a Great Jedi War. The results of her efforts were admittedly mixed, but when things were hard her real character shone through. She dug in and gave more, she didn’t give up. She didn’t publicly complain or despair, she remained positive and upbeat to her team. That is a mark of a true leader and a pillar of our community.

Equites and Elders are measured by what they give back to the Brotherhood, not what they consume. Rhiann is a producer, she gives and gives with no thought of reward. Today it’s time to give something back to her. Enjoy Raider and the fancy custom saber, you’ve earned it!

Tasha....where can I begin?

Tasha has been part of Marka Ragnos now for the better part of nine months. In that time, Tasha has proven to be a boon to the House and Clan. Her easy going nature, her willingness to get involved. Her drive to have fun and give others the chance to have fun also have meant that she is more well-known across the Clan than some of our Elders.

Joining the ranks of the Equites has always been something to celebrate, the point that marked the difference between those who wanted to do the bare minimum and those who strove to be the best. With Tasha, I have someone who strives to be the best. Not because that's a conscious decision, but because she wants to do everything to her best ability. She wants to contribute, she wants to learn. She wants to be part of everything. I respect that, I love that. It means that I, as a leader, have people to award!

Since her last elevation, Tasha has built an impression collection of trophies due to her victories and participation. Since becoming a Knight, she has earned one Steel Cross for her unique way of bringing light-heartedness and camaraderie to the Clan while working her arse off. She has also earned three Crescents with Ruby Stars, one Crescent with Amethyst Star, four Crescents with Sapphire Stars, three Crescents with Emerald Stars, TEN!!! Pendants of Blood, four hundred and fifty eight Clusters of Fire, sixteen Clusters of Ice and sixty one Clusters of Earth.

Her time as Battleteam Sergeant for six months out of the nine months she has been in the Brotherhood, has been to support Armad in his role as Battleteam Leader. Tasha has excelled at this, enabling Armad to perform his role. She has encouraged her members, kept in constant contact with them during events. She has recruited members to a team that was about to be shut down due to lack of numbers, going from three members to eight members, meaning the team was secure and active. Tasha then took the reins of the Night Raptors as Battleteam Leader for a month, running a couple of competitions and trying to shore up her team. However, sadly I was unable to find a replacement for Tasha when I recently took her on as my Aedile and merged our two Battleteams together.

Her time as Knight has also been one of extending her contact with the club at large, with twenty six news post comments, ninety three PVP activities, eleven PVE activities, two ACC battles, seven fiction events with 6,056 words written and three RO posts with 1,320 words written.

She also completed 16 in character interviews with members of CNS, writing a total of 5,861 words for them. Add those together with her other fiction entries and she has written almost 12,000 words of fiction. Finally, Tasha has completed three Shadow Academy exams.

Tasha is one of our most competitive members and my inbox gets spammed with competition result emails due to her. Since her Knighting, Tasha has run one competition, co-organised another two competitions and participated in forty five competitions in the past six months.

Tasha has also helped me finished our House's wiki project in creating wiki pages for the Majestic Class Heavy Cruiser and its accompanying squadrons, even creating a full roster of NPC pilots to be fleshed out in the future. She did this quickly and took on extra work when one of our involved members left us.

Tasha has been one of my most active members during my time in Naga Sadow. I can rely on her to give me her honest opinion and even though she has only been my Aedile for just under two weeks, I've given her many tasks to do, some of them she even came up with herself, such as improving communication between Naga Sadow and Odan Urr via gaming. She has given me much work to do and I'm so glad that she is part of my House and my Summit. I know that Tasha will go far during her journey through the Brotherhood and I hope that she remembers her beginnings when she gets to the top.

Congratulations on joining the Equites, Blue. You've been a godsend to the Clan, the House and to me. Keep up the fantastic work and well done on getting the rank of Mystic!

Professor Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar, 2015-12-27 18:43:45 UTC
Additional reasons

Many members that join the Dark Brotherhood never reach the rank of Knight. They flake out, they decide it is not for them or they simply had the wrong expectation in the first place. None of this applies to Tasha, as she took to the Brotherhood and the Clan with an enthusiasm few can match in either their journeymen months, or the ranks afterwards. From the competitions she hosts, to her unique twist of interviewing members of the Clan, Tasha puts her name on all of it.

Starting as a slightly insecure student, she quickly grew into a mainstay of Naga Sadow and made friends on all sides. She started hosting competitions, was increasingly active in both IRC and later on Telegram, and ran for leadership with the Night Raptors as their Sergeant. Now, as an Aedile to House Marka Ragnos, she is at the cusp of becoming a true member of the Brotherhood. She hasn’t needed a mentor, or a Master, for a very long time, as she has truly surpassed her Master in every way I can think of. I am both proud and honored to help promote her into the Equites. Congratulations on your new rank Tasha!

Marcus Kiriyu, 2015-12-27 18:29:17 UTC

From the moment she joined Clan Naga Sadow she has been brilliant. Not once have I seen her shy away from anything. She came into House Marka Ragnos as if she was a direct descent of the House's namesake, a whirlwind that has not stopped. She quickly got to know her clanmates and created her own unofficial/satirical "news show" which highlighted different members of the Clan, both Summit and non-Summit. This has helped to improve morale and kept members even more engaged. These shows also put her in the spotlight where many try to hide in the background, yet even when she was in full view she never disappointed. She has encouraged others to get involved and have fun. She has been a great leader and has really made an impression as a Battleteam Sergeant.

She also is always a presence within the chat rooms that the Clan utilizes, always quick with a joke or insight of some kind. It has been great to have person to bounce ideas off of and get honest feedback and possible alternatives from, because of this she has become invaluable to me as an Aedile. Her enthusiasm is what this club needs to thrive and we could use more members like her. I am immensely glad to have her as a Clan and Housemate. Congratulations Tasha, this is well deserved.
