Serving 9 months as my Praetor, Tyren has done a multitude of things which has helped to lighten the load on the Herald's Staff. Between giving advice on new policies to assisting with projects, Tyren has kept his options opened to the staff.

Since his promotion to Equite 1, Tyren has completed 6 lightsabers, 28 warbanners, 20 items for the Warbanner Logo selector, as well as a couple of items for Project: Rebirth. His contributions to the staff also helped to change the warbanner guidelines, as well as help with the creation of the Rule of Three.

With his hard work and dedication, I would like to present to him a Sapphire Blade, his first award weapon. Congratulations!

Sacrificial Request: Sapphire Blade OT Prajna Berkana (3883)

The recipient of a Sapphire Blade is a member whom has displayed an extraordinary amount of activity, service or dedication to a position or a task within the Brotherhood. Generally, I have seen such awards bestowed upon members whom participated, and won, a major Brotherhood-wide competition. However, today I request it be awarded for being a driving force behind the scenes of a major Brotherhood-wide competition.

Without the assistance of Prajna, the 2008 Independence Games could not have happened. That is a simple truth. Prajna assisted me at every stage/level of this competition from fine-tuning the actual proposal and the events to coding the entire site (the entire thing) and showing maturity to outsource the layout/graphics to provide the best possible presentation for our entire club. He dug through records to provide depth (such as the original grievances) and functionality (date and timestamp features, database, etc). Additionally, once the events started coming in, PJ was the guy making sure they were appropriately getting to the right places. And once we closed the event, he zipped up all the packages, created a gmail account, uploaded the entries, organized them by file, created a googledocument (tracking participation and placement points), compiled all of the gaming statistics (and uploaded them) and stayed on top of it to ensure the grading was completed. He spent nearly three months involved in this project... from beginning to end. Well done.

His level of maturity and dedication truly stand out in my eyes. His role was nothing short of critical and he performed the tasks that we expect of our highest echelon of members. Great work, Prajna. You are truly deserving of this award.

It is a privilege and honor to award Templar Angelo Dante the Sapphire Blade for his performance in the Independence Games and his overall contributions to the Dark Brotherhood.

Since returning to the Dark Brotherhood, Dante has maintained an insane level of activity. Earning over 1900 Clusters of Fire, he has established himself as one of the dominant gamers in the Dark Brotherhood.

Dante's performance in the IGs led his Clan to a first place finish and brought him personal glory as he edged out the competition and finished as the top player in the Dark Brotherhood.

Congratulations Dante, for your outstanding work in the IGs and your incredible impact on DB gaming over the last year.

Zandro Savric Erinos is a Clansman who has stood out amongst his peers. He has been a serving leader in Arcon in a variety of positions for a tenure of around 2 years. His contribution to the Clan has been massive. He has lead Battle Teams and Houses (as both AED and QUA). During such appointments he held his position with pride and served the Arconan populous proud. He is a patient, approachable, dependable leader who ofers (and continues to offer even although he is now no longer a leader!) a variety opf exciting, interesting competitions and activities. During Project: RESURRECTION I arrived as CON and asked Zandro (along with al other summit leaders) to step down - not exactly an easy intro. However, when I explained the idea of RESURRECTION he accepted the idea as he knew it was the best possible solution to try and reboot Arcona at the time. This is anotehr indicator of Zandro's worth as a dutiful, understanding, dedicated Clansman and leader. Beyond his leadership work, Zandro also participates with a real zeal and hunger for the win! He was placed in Raken's recent DB wide fiction competition and has been an exemplary particpant of all Clan events to date. Ultimately the Sapphire Blade is the first sacramental award for commitment, dedication and exemplary service. Zandro throughly deserves this award on behalf of Arcona. Congratulations, thank you and I hope there will be much more from you in the future...

Zandro Erinos is Arcona’s stalwart. In every way a model member, he is as versatile as he is reliable. He has held a leadership position of some form or another in Arcona for two years without a break, from Battleteam leader of the clan’s best battleteam, Aedile, where he ably supported myself as a Quaestor by acting as my counsel and completing a myriad of tasks such as assisting with running various Run Ons and competitions to helping get the new members on their feet to Quaestor of both houses in Arcona. After demonstrating considerable ability to maintain Galeres’ momentum in the wake of Resurrection, he was asked to get HQD back on its feet. I can only say that he has succeeded tremendously, as House Qel-Droma is now Galeres’ match in member strength and activity. However, Zandro has not only proven himself as a leader but also as a member. He has participated heavily in a number of DB wide competitions (winning the ACC piloting Championship and Raken’s Storyline competition to name a couple). He games regularly and is widely regarded as the clan’s expert in EaW and on top of this has even taken a shine to JA. He is strong willed, but not to the point of aggression, well-liked in the clan and the first stop for a number of newer members looking for advice. There is nothing more that could be asked from this pillar of Arconan strength, and I believe that he deserves nothing less.

I've never recommended anyone for a Sapphire Blade, mostly because I'm incredibly stingy when it comes to medals, but after talking to a lot of people, it occurred to me that the Great Jedi War would give me probably my only opportunity each year to award this medal. Therefore I would like to recommend that the Sapphire Blade be awarded to Sith Warrior Derevko "Thorin" Niroth. Here is why:<br> <br> Thorin sometimes scares me. I could not go online any day (this is true today) without the guy PMing me on IRC. It's like he never takes a vacation. In fact, as the newly appointed Quaestor of House Marka Ragnos, it fell to him to recommend the medals for his house, and he did it within an hour of getting the assignment. The members had their medals that night. I was afraid to even go online because he would PM me with some new idea.<br> <br> I don't know what kind of awards they give the Consuls for leading their clans during the Great Jedi War, but I must tell you that I could not have done this without Thorin. I was balancing summer classes and a full time job during the Great Jedi War, and while I still took the time to send reports and direct the clan (and participate), I couldn't do it all.<br> <br> Thorin's efforts began early in the Great Jedi War when I needed someone to take control of the run-on. He completely volunteered himself for the job, and I could tell that he was doing a great job with it, organizing plotlines, checking on people's posts to make sure that they weren't totally crappy (we were given a couple of days to fix posts as necessary after posting). He turned run-ons (which in my opinion normally suck) from what could have been a mangled mess of separate plotlines into something resembling a cohesive plotline. I was proofreading the run-on for grammar and spelling and I was surprised at how well-written it was, as a whole. Directing the 34 clan participants in that run-on is not an easy thing to do. The clan placed first in the run-on event.<br> <br> It wasn't even just the run-on. While I did my usual reports that I thought were detailed enough, Thorin filled in any gaps in his own reports. During key dates, he would email the clan vital information about the goings on in the war. He would give us updates on points values, and direct people to important deadlines and events. He seriously took "motivation" to a new level.<br> <br> Thorin was going to get a Grand Cross just for his participation and performance in the actual Great Jedi War events. He participated in 11 events and earned his clan 424 points, including a few placings. However, taking into account his tremendous leadership during the Great Jedi War, in which the clan performed the best it has ever in its history, it was decided by the rest of the summit that Thorin should gets his GC upgraded to a Sapphire Blade. Bubba... err... Dacien... is awesome. In the eight-odd months he has worked as Praetor to the Headmaster, he has yet to receive a formal award for all his work, and I'm proud to change that. His ideas and opinions are always welcomed and encouraged, and his coding experience keeps the Shadow Academy running. Whenever my limited coding knowledge screws something up, he fixes it, and without him the SA website would undoubtedly run a lot worse. Along with the almost constant coding he does on the website, he has also coded around half a dozen new courses practically by himself (although I do volunteer to help), processes character histories (that in itself takes its toll), work with Orv to make the better course listing menu, and is an indispensible moral compass. Bubba is my second brain, and I love working and collaborating with him. ~ Headmaster Aabsdu di Plagia Dupar

Dacien (Bubba) was an excellent addition to the SA staff. His coding skills are top rate and he was a big help in getting new courses up and running. He's always providing feedback on ideas, as well as presenting his own. When he came into the praetor job, he came in with his own ideas for the Shadow Academy, but was also willing to get involved with the current projects.
