I am proud and honored to request the Sapphire Blade for SBL Mononoke "Macron" Keibatsu-Goura. Macron served the Dark Brotherhood with distinction and skill as the T:DSC. During his reign as the Dark Side Compendium Tribune, Macron created varied and outstanding additions to the Dark Brotherhood lexicon of information. Macron is responsible for nearly every sentence in the DSC and for several articles still to come. I am honored to submit this award on behalf of Macron's Clan who have followed my recommendation with recommendations of their own.
Macron is one of those members who has been truly dedicated in every aspect of his job and wants only to see a positive effect come out of his work. He has never received an award weapon or received the clan title, yet his work is truly worthy of all of these things and much more. After taking the title of Proconcul, he decided to stepd down from DSC Tribune to dedicate his focus onto his clan. He is one of the finest members of the Brotherhood I've met. Mac-daddy, you have earned this and so much more. Congrats, big adopted brother! ^_^
Since taking on the role of PCON for Clan Naga Sadow, Macron has literately hit the ground running. He has taken a special interest in our Jedi Hunters and is spurring them forward towards Knighthood. He also keeps in touch with the summit on everything he is working on including the improvements he is making in the battle teams and the overall fundamentals of the clan. Macron also still actively participates in competitions as well, leading the Clan by example. His work as Tribune can not go unnoticed either as he has risen to that challenge and faced it head on. He truly is deserving of this award.
Macron is a truly unique member of the DB. He's humorous, he's polite, he's helpful and patient with people, and he's extremely creative. He is also one of the hardest working people I've met since joining.

From what I've seen his work on the DSC is impressive, both in his creativity and skill at writing, and also in his determination to research as much information as possible, speaking and chasing Clans and members to make sure it is as accurate as possible. The quality of the work reflects Macrons personality, he doesn't make a huge fuss, he doesn't self promote himself, he just sees what needs doing and sets about achieving it. He has taken the post of PCON of Naga Sadow, and has set about this position in the same manner, providing information, doing audits on members Knight Trials, polishing up the wiki pages, and writing humorous and detailed reports.

I've worked with Macron in various capacities since I joined, and he is a pleasure to both work with and for and I hope to for a long time to come. I have no doubt that he has earned a Sapphire Blade.
When I first became Consul, every time I was put in a position where I'd have to think about who I'd want to be Proconsul, Macron was one of the choices. He had been Quaestor during a strong period for the Clan, when everyone seemed to be getting along, and we were more unified than I wish we could be again. He was a nice guy, and he did a good job as Quaestor. Trust me, I was a member in his House Ludo Kressh.

When it finally came time to make him Proconsul, I was a little nervous, because he can't come onto IRC as much as other members of the DB, and therefore isn't as visible as some other members of the DB. However, I took that chance. In the two or three weeks since then, he's turned out to be an excellent Proconsul. He's really taken to keeping track of the members, and is one of the reasons why we have two new Dark Jedi Knights in the last week. During our monthly Conclave, he could only be around for about an hour, but in that hour he worked quickly to make sure all important tasks were discussed. Normally when I run conclave, it's a bit disorganized, but Macron got things done. He even engaged himself in discussions that I'm too lazy to really get myself interested in, and I appreciate that. It means that someone's getting something done.

However, this Sapphire Blade is primarily being awarded to Macron because of his work on the Dark Side Compendium. I'm aware that other people have worked on the DSC materials, but it was Macron who finally got it published. Several sections in fact, probably doubling its length. When he got DSC, I was relieved that it was actually being worked on, and that steady progress was being made on it. His DSC skills came in handy before he became Proconsul, when he and a few other members worked vigorously on various wiki pages for the Clan, really fleshing out our background. It's work only some people are willing and able to do, and I'm glad he's one of them.
The position of Inter-Club Training Event Tribune is one of the most important positions in the Dark Brotherhood. The T:ICTE is in charge of working with other clubs in the Star Wars universe and controlling what is often a chaotic mix of individuals and personalities.

SW Karel has handled this responsibility with passion, initiative, and skill well beyond his years. Without guidance, input, or support, Karel planned the ORW for the Dark Brotherhood. In addition to planning the event, he advertised it and helped lead the Dark Brotherhood to a dominating victory.

You know a leader has done a spectacular job when people have no interest in applauding him, yet still do. This is the case with Karel, with several ORW Clubs sending me recommendations for an award for Karel. The Rebel Squadrons have stated the ORW would have never happened without Karel, the VE thanked him for his planning, and several DB members outside of his clan have made comments about Karel's great work.

Please award SW Karel the Sapphire Blade for his consistent and skillful service to the Dark Brotherhood.

Keep up the great work Karel!

The ACC Staff has and has had all sorts of staff-member-types, but none quite like alLan Mandragoran. He's not the type to run at mach five, but he's not the type to warm a roster, either. He's one of the 'middle of the road' staff members - and truly the type I'd prefer, if I ever had the choice. al Lan is personable and friendly, and always eager to train someone, his approachability being the key to his success as a Trainer. While some may come off as egotistical or condescending, KAP Mandragoran is always kind with his remarks in such a way that he doesn't offend - a quality I wish we all had, now and again. That being said, I'd like to share some recommendations from a few others in regard to his service over the last 10 months;

--------

---
Over the course of the last ten months, Archpriest alLan Mandragoran has served as a Trainer within the Antei Combat Centre. As the statistics mentions elsewhere in this request will show, Lan has done a phenomenal job, and has risen to the occasion to be one of the most active Trainers in the ACC. Not only this, but Lan has a very effective style of training. He has a kind way of pointing out mistakes to trainees, rather than just pointing out flaws and saying fix this, and his will to see those around him succeed shows through in all of his work. He has helped countless people improve their ability in combat writing, and has shown many the ways to succeed in the ACC. The Combat Centre owes him a great deal of gratitude, and I can think of no better way than by showing our appreciation with an award. Lan, thanks for all you do!

SBM Brujah Tamalar
Deputy Combat Master

Lan's overall drive for the ACC has been above average. For 2006 he wrote up over 50 introductions, went through the training of 30 INIs, and helped judge over 25 battles some of which were for the 5th GJW. He also helped close nearly 10 battles that had timed out, keeping the halls clean of timed out matches. 2007 has started slow for the Centre, but when things pick up, Lan is sure to be right there helping our new members learn the ways of the ACC and better themselves.
Many of the facts about Lans activity within the ten months and change hes been with us will probably be covered in another rec, so I wont repeat what will have already been said. Instead Ill focus more on how he is as a person in this club, as it relates to his Training job. Lan has consistently gone that extra mile in ensuring that the training he gives is at the highest level. One need only glance at one of those numerous training battles to see the level of detail he puts. He covers every topic and makes sure that the trainee is given the attention they deserve. Countless times on IRC he has come up to me to discuss any questions or concerns he may have within a given battle. Wanting to give people the best information possible, he will go out of his way to learn and grow himself. He is not afraid to say he doesnt know something, and will do what it takes to find out the information he needs. He has also spent his time on IRC in the #acc channel, as well as in others, answering questions for people and helping those who wish to take part in the ACC. While taken as a snapshot it may not seem like much, but stretch it out to nearly a year and he has not diminished in any capacity. It is not easy to be a Trainer, to have to deal with a lot at once, but Lan manages to do so while keeping a calm air about him. He is more than deserving of this accolade and I congratulate him.
Lan was an immense help during my ACC training. He was readily available on IRC for questions, and always offered constructive criticism in a positive atmosphere. I have no objection whatsoever to this proposed award.
DJK Sklib

I'd just like to say that I fought my first training battle against 'Lan, and that he was able to quickly point out ways to improve my ACC writing. He was patient and his criticisms were all constructive, without a hint of abuse.
Probably the most endearing quality that alLan possesses, apart from his personality, is his quality of effort. He leaves no stone unturned with any bit of training. While other's focus in different area's, al Lan consistently covers all of the bases; making not learning from his ratings an impossibility. For his consistent service to the Brotherhood, via the ACC platform, it is my pleasure (and the staff's) to recommend KAP al`Lan Mandragoran for the Sapphire Blade [SB].
I am not one for speeches, but I must voice my gratitude for Astronicus Aurelius Sadow's dedication to the Wiki Project. Even before adding him to the Staff, Tron was independently working on the project, upholding the rules, adding and editing articles, patrolling edits and checking for vandalism. With nearly 1,500 edits to his name more than almost all other members combined and nearly all being necessary administrative contributions, no one can deny his value. I hope this award can, in some way, express the worth of your dedication. ~DP Kaine Mandaala
The Dark Brotherhood's Wiki project started several months ago as an idea. The goal of that idea was to create an easy to use reference manual for all things Dark Brotherhood. Since that time the DJBWiki has become an invaluable tool that has strengthened the Dark Brotherhood as a whole. A large part of this success is owed to Astronicus Aurelius Sadow. Tron stepped into the Wiki team and immediately set himself above and beyond his peers. His knowledge of Wiki coding and his outstanding dedication to improving the quality of articles greatly guided the direction of Wiki. Without Tron, the DJBWiki would still be in its infancy and the Dark Brotherhood owes him a debt of gratitude. Congratulations Tron! ~DJM Sarin
For over 10 months SW Shikyo has been a member of the ACC staff as part of the ACCLive! contingent. A lot can be said for the few who hold those positions and the sacrifices they make to ensure that others have a good time. I have seen weeks go by without a match; weeks where only a single battle takes place as well as weeks when you cant stop people from playing Live!; its utterly unpredictable. However, one constant remains
the Live! Judges. Many in the Brotherhood give of their free time to make the club better in fact, the club is run by such individuals. Yet, there are very few whose job entails waiting; simply being there
just in case. Such is the life of a Live! Judge; they sit and wait. When combatants come around, then the active part of their job begins which is still far from actually being anything exciting. They are present to run a script, to let the combatants fight through their access to the site nothing more. When the battle is finally complete, they render a judgment and rate it accordingly. It sounds very uneventful, and is exceedingly thankless but without Live! Judges, the platform wouldnt exist. They wait and rate and someones got to do it. Those who enjoy the game have the Judges to thank, and so do I. We dont really throw words like dedicated at the Live! Judges, but we probably should. Their efforts are not the things of glory and prestige, though they probably should be. With close to 50 battles administered, Shikyo has been reliable and dedicated. Through ACCLive! Tournaments, a GJW and simple scraps between players Shikyo has been there. He has also been selected to be the new Live! Judge Admin when the Training reformation is released. In addition, he has been an active voice in the creation of the ACCLive! Tournament format and its adjustments into a recurring competition. He knows his game and displays a desire to see it prosper. He has my complete confidence due to the nature of his character, his dedication to the Centre and the members that frequent his platform. For consistent service to the Antei Combat Centre and the members of the Dark Brotherhood, it is my pleasure to recommend SW Shikyo Keibatsu for the Sapphire Blade. ~ DA Dalthid; Combat Master

It is my pleasure today to recognize the Consul of Scholae Palatinae for his performance. Dakari has served honorably as Consul of CSP in a time where being Consul is one of the Brotherhood's most tolling positions. I do not discount the time and effort that organizing any clan during a Great Jedi War. While CSP did not finish high in the ranking, it was obvious from the beginning that Dakari was putting emphasis on the war, and that his members were competing. During that time he has made some tough decision regarding members, had to replace some essential leadership and been made to participate in many Dark Council debates. This is no easy task for anyone - that Dakari has done it consistently and without pause is notable.

Recently, Dakari and Braecen have teamed up to bring some great changes to CSP. From overseeing the new website to the Consul's Coven, the envoy system to the revamped battlesteam - the Clan is progessing under the guidance of Dakari. I applaud him for his efforts.

Dakari Tamalar (4601)
Sapphire Blade

Over the course of my tenure in the Brotherhood, I have often felt one member did more unseen, behind-the-scenes work than the considerable majority. That man was Dakari Tamalar... his work at Quaestor was brilliant, ableit a lackluster Clan Summit. Then I saw him finally make his break into the Elites with his induction as Proconsul, then Consul of Clan Scholae Palatinae. And while his last promotion was only five months ago, I felt it long overdue - making this more considerable a recommendation for his past eight months of work.

During Dakari's tenure I have seen the rebuilding of a Clan from ashes. His first step was to encourage member participation: thus, creation of the Clan Senate. He has encouraged both House Summits to take initiative in their roles - placing them beyond the normal borders and forcing them to excel independently. He has had to battle countless distractions during his tenure, aspects that would wear down the most visible of leaders - he has done this all behind the scenes without complaint. And since my tenure within the walls of Scholae Palatinae, one man has been by my side critiquing my work and ensuring it is what is best for his people... this Clan. Those projects include a revision of the Envoy system, revision of the Dark Senate, creation of the Consul's Coven, creation of a Member of the Month, restructuring of Battle Teams (much more his idea than mine, ever), supervision of building a new Clan Web Site, creation of a Merit/Title program that will instill pride in people's participation at the clan level, a structured rewards program for activity and the creation of the CSP Pulse. In addition to the daily stress and rigors of being a Consul, where he is forced with the tough decisions of promoting the well-being of his Clan. This includes the hard process of cracking down on unruly members, hiring and firing of leaders and dealing with the Dark Summit.

Most recently I saw Dakari privately recognize the efforts of his people, encourage his Leadership and fight an internal battle that threatened to tear apart his Clan at the seams. He did this all during the duration of the Sixth Great Jedi War, allowing his Clan not to succumb but to excel to a fourth place finish. While most leaders are paraded for their success in their Clan's placings... I believe Dakari should be fully seen as a pillar of CSP and the DJB - for the work he does that renders no thanks or recognition until observed as a whole.

Braecen Kunar
Proconsul of Scholae Palatinae

--------------------------------------

Dakari has, in the five months he's served as Consul of Scholae Palatinae, provided encouragement and inspiration to countless members. His dedication and tireless efforts have worked to make his Clan strong, managing to pull the clan together against the odds to accomplish great things. As a member of CSP, I have often looked to Dakari for help in various matters and he has always been there, and been willing to listen and help. He has always encouraged his members to strive for their goals no matter what they might be, and has always been willing to help them to achieve them. Dakari has been a true role model of what a leader should be. Caring, Compassionate, Enthusiastic, Dedicated, Committed, and Strong. It has been and continues to be, an honor and privilege to work beside Dakari for the good and glory of CSP. His sense of vision and desire to see his Clan thrive and prosper are remarkable, and for his efforts, he truly deserves a Sapphire Blade.

NOV Dakari. I remember that young Dark Jedi full of energy, but I would never believe that he would one day become a great Consul if I had been told back then. However, Dakari has disproved my thinking and has become one of the greatest leaders of the Clan. Starting out as a Battle Team Leader, he became Quaestor of (now closed) House Dorimad Sol. Dakari worked relentlessly on several projects as QUA and then CON. His enthusiasm, communication, and interaction with the members is truly outstanding! He chats regularly on IRC (recently, he had to put aside DJB activities for RL reasons) and he communicates with the leaders clearly, detailing what he wants them to do with his trusted Proconsul, Braecen Kunar.

Dakari has truly outdone himself in means of activity and dedication. I wonder if he knows how great of a leader he is... well, I don't want him to have too big of a head. :D For Dakari's loyalty and dedication to the Clan, his perseverance and awesome activity, I recommend him for a Sapphire Blade!
--------------------------------------

Since my entrance to the Clan, Consul Dakari has been a solid leading force.
Even in times of tumult, he held his resolve. In spite of losing a PCON
and an entire House Summit, Dakari managed to hold the Clan afloat. Even
meriting a 4th place finish in the 6th GJW, the Clan used Dakari as a solid
point in the political quagmire that had ensued. I personally commend
Dakari for maintaining a light-heart and open mind through-out the troubling
time. Always open to hearing suggestions, Dakaris friendly presence made
it simple for a newly arrived leader like me to find a home within the clan.

I highly recommend Dakari be considered for this award. Had he not been
present and so well composed, the clan would have surely regressed into
chaos. I congratulate Dakari for all of his hard work and dedication. Keep
it up, Daquiri!
Halc is one of my favorite DB members. He is hard-working, consistent and driven to excellence. He has a wide ranging scope in the Brotherhood and I really think it's hard for any one person to get a full handle on what he does. From his job in Arcona, to Hand of Justice, to Praetor to the MAA, to Deputy Combat Master to Magistrate of the Grand Master, Halc has a hand in almost everything in the DB. He's good at it all too; his efforts are high-quality and well thought-out.

I appreciate that Halc is consistent in his activity. As Consul he was able to step in and control a clan that is not easy at all to lead. He didn't have to do it; he'd already had his time as Consul, but Halc stepped in for the good of the DB and the clan. He, along with Duga, created and led one of the best Clan fueds the DB has seen. He also led the clan to a good showing in the Great Jedi war. This was all while dealing with problem members in the CoJ and working with the ACC. Halc is just a great go-to guy.

I appreciate all that you have done, Halc. Keep up the great work!
A Sapphire Blade is often awarded for consistent service to one's Clan, which does not render recognition until seen as a whole. It is often awarded as a medal for multiple services over a long period of time. One such period of time would be the duration of the Sixth Great Jedi War.

It is Clan Scholae Palatinae's privilege and honor to award Sith Hunter Tyno with this award for his continued service and excellent participation. He competed in 11 events, collecting 1014 points, 509 Clusters of Fire, 5 Novae and 11 Seals in the name of Palpatine. Thus, claiming 8th overall. Additionally, Tyno was, in essence, the sole competitor for most of the games our Clan did not own. Without his expertise and presence of mind to compete in those events the Clan would have suffered a great loss in points and ground throughout the conflict.

Lastly, Tyno has been an excellent member with a commitment and drive that helps power House Caliburnus. His role as Battle Team Leader has lead him to the renovation of his team as the whole paradigm shifts within the Clan. His IRC presence has been fantastic, not limited only to Gaming Nights of requests from his Summit. He is truly a member on the rise - for his time and commitment, we hereby endorse this award.
