I am honoured to recommend Mordamen Bast for promotion. He has excelled in his 46 days as a Guardian. He was the co-organiser of a competition for Arcona, and used that experience to pass an exam from the Department of Leadership Studies. His exams have meant he has reached tank 3 in the SA society. He's also been very active in participating in competitions, participating in 5, and managing to place in 2 of them. He's been active as a gamer as well, picking up 50 clusters of Fire. All through this, he has been an active member, constantly present on irc in the Clan channel.

I knew this was coming, but didnt realize the day was so close. When I got the email that Torin was eligible for ascension to Jedi Knight my heart dropped. I cannot say how proud I am to see someone as new as him take up the required knowledge so easily and climb through the ranks like he has. Not to mention he is the first of Hoth's new members to join Knighthood.

Torin has been insane in his efforts to get to this point. In just over two months, Torin has climbed through the Journeyman ranks. During this time he has also claimed victory in the Legends of Hoth (Episode 1) series run by our House, and Tales of New Tython series run by the Clan. While that is not the only things he has done, let me impress that upon the MAA office. In 2 months this man has won 2 Unit wide competitions, 1st Place in their individual events and the overall events. That is a stunning effort in itself.

Also for the large majority of the time since his last promotion, we have only been waiting for his time in rank to expire. Before his promotion to PAD he had already done his Leadership Exams, been awarded for Competition placement, earned his SA Degrees, reached SA Rank 4, obtained the required Pendents of Blood, and completed his Wiki. The only things that he has had to do was his 3000 word fiction, and his time in rank. Again I want to point out that while we have waited for time in rank he has been active in the FIST sponsored Mobile Gaming, doing a DJB Haiku contest, the DJB Speed Sporcle Challenge (x2), and has been working on things for the Clan wide competition, Sentinel Network.

For all these reasons I happily request Torin Ardell join the ranks for the Light Side as a fully vested Jedi Knight!

Torin has proven himself an awesome addition to our Clan. Time and again, he has worked hard to ensure his mandatory promotion requirements are completed ahead of schedule, with a level of quality that truly impresses, as evidenced by his previously-awarded Dark Cross and promotion to Padawan. This high level of activity at his previous rank is directly responsible for his eligibility for Knighthood, as he exceeded all expectations with true spirit.

Since his last promotion, he has earnt himself a few extra Crescents, including a Ruby and two Sapphire Stars, and participated in five competitions.

On the Promotheus side, he has participated in, and been awarded several more major competition awards, than required. He has written an excellent piece of character fiction, weighing in at 3,612 words; has four Shadow Academy degrees, and is Rank 4 in the SA Society; three Pendants of Blood; and created a quality Wiki character article.

All of these build up to display a simple truth: that Torin is worthy of rising as a Jedi Knight.

The journey to Knighthood is often regarded as a long, tedious venture. This isn't so in the case of Torin Ardell. Ignoring the rank of this member, his work ethic and power output alone place him ahead of most Elders, and among the most valuable members to have around when the Vendettas draw near. His personal entries make him one of our top-participating members, having earned a placing in the top three for Odan-Urr's highly competitive Tales event. In addition to this, he one of the few direct recruits that have found their home on Odan-Urr, as a brother to one of our other top members, Salbecca. These two have worked together to power through some of our cooperative events to deliver content that astounded us as a Summit. The old adage goes without saying that two heads is better than one, and it holds true in the case of Torin Ardell and Salbecca.

Since joing the DB two months ago Torin has maintained a consistant level of high quality submissions that have seen him place in the top three in multiple competitions at the House, Clan and Brotherhood level. He has created a quality wiki page that expands on his character's history and written a very good piece of character fiction that came in at over 3500 words. The only thing holding him back has been time in rank and now that that has passed I am very happy and proud to recommend Torin Ardell be promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight.
