Primary reason

Meero has been a busy bunny since his last promotion. From earning second place in the Shadow Academy's declathon through the completion of six Shadow Academy courses, not only did he gather so much lore to keep between those ears but a shiny Crescent with a ruby star too! Though not only has Meero been active within the realms of the murky libraries of Arx but he's been making his debut out among the people, partipcating in a Trivia competition.

Alongside these efforts he's been making sure to keep his writing whiskers active, producing 1775 words of fiction across two roleplaying activities.

Though the numbers only speak so much to the kind, carrot-matic (like, charasmatic? eyy?) Kushibun-bun. He's been a wonderful presence in Arcona, encouraging, memeing, conversing and overall making the space feel oh so much fluffier to be within.

All that in mind, I'm happy to recommend Meero to the cusp of knighthood, Journeybun 3. I'm sure we'll be back here again all too soon.

It has only been four days since we were last here but in that time Erin has proven that they will keep pressing onward. Let us go over these numbers: They have been part of two gaming activities that raked in a whopping total of 90 clusters of fire as well as likely contributing to the gaming competition that they participated in. Never happy to settle for less than awesome, Erin earned a Amethyst star crescent for that competition.

Alongside their gaming activity they have also earned 2 clusters of ice from participating in a roleplaying activity. While Erin the character may be struggling with their place in the clan and in their found family, we have no doubts about that in terms of the person. You're doing great and I'm beyond pleased to recommend you up to Journeyman 2. I'm sure we'll be seeing each other again very very soon!

Erin, you continue to impress. You're growing more competent each day and you will surely rival the Council when the time is right. You have met the requirements for promotion, and a recommendation has been filed.

I will continue to watch your progress, Erin, but my direct intervention in your promotions must come to an end.

You will go far within this Brotherhood.

May the Force guide you, Journeyman,

TuQ’uan Varick di Plagia

Elder 1
Requested by
Master Selika Roh di Plagia
Primary reason

The thing that I like the most about being a genuine old fart of the DB is getting to watch people grow over the course of their careers here. Watching Neophytes become Journeymen and Journeymen become Equites. For most, that's the path they walk. For some, the truly excellent, that path has one more stop along the way: Equite to Elder. TuQ’uan Varick di Plagia, di Plagia, wearer of the hat, is one of the greatest members I have had the honor of serving with in my long career. From the day he got her he has exhibited nothing but the very best that can be expected from both a member and leader in the Brotherhood. He was so damn good that he actually warped Plagueis canon around him, as we had to fundamentally shift the place of NFU's within the Plagueis in-character culture because we had this NFU character in leadership and we knew he wasn't going anywhere any time soon.

The numbers since his last promotion 20 months ago have continued to show his high level of performance. 1 of every award (save a Grand Cross) between the Anteian Cross and Ruby Scepter, 335 competition entries, 163 competition crescents (placing at a 48.6% clip), 541 Clusters of Earth, 52 Clusters of Graphite, 2 Scrolls of Foundation, 1 Scroll of the Master, 26 Vendetta seals, a third place finish overall in Pro Bowl VI, second place in the Ascending Confederacy House Feud, third place in the Plagueis vs Taldryan Clan Feud, and first place overall in Pro Bowl VII. All in line with his lifetime numbers that I recently quoted in his Ruby Scepter recommendation in June. More important has been his leadership, stepping back into the role of Quaestor a week before the 2022 Pro Bowl and demonstrating the preternatural leadership ability that he showed as Proconsul and through his work serving on various DC staffs. Plagueis has a reputation for "showing up" when it really matters, and it's easy for an outsider (or even an insider really) to take for granted the fact that it continues to happen. The amount of work, however, that goes into this from the leadership of our Clan is absolutely monstrous and this burden falls most directly on the shoulders of our Quaestors. These are the closest level of the summit to the rank and file member and are the ones that are the "boots on the ground" so to speak. Since he came back to position of Quaestor, Plagueis has managed to hit or exceed a 66% participation rate in every major, scheduled event competition we have participated in. Without TuQ's work keeping his members informed via his monthly reports and engaged with some of the best one on one focus and time that I've ever seen in my over two decades in the Brotherhood, there is literally no way that our Clan would be anywhere near the levels of activity that we see today. As an illustration, I'll partially quote from the analysis on the Plaguies activity metrics sent to us from the Council: "Every summit member is producing content and opportunities for members to participate. That's the difference between a functioning unit and a thriving unit." At least for the Tyranus half of our Clan, that comes down to the work that TuQ'aun does every day.

TuQ's lifetime numbers stand him in good stead with those that have reached the rank of Elder within our club, but I was one who always knew that he was the kind of member that could one day reach that goal. While him being a sneeze short of the 60 thousand earned experience mark, having participated in 779 overall competitions, along with years of service to both Clan and Brotherhood might be what some people look at and judge him worthy of being an elder, I knew from the moment I met him that he was. It just took the time between then and now for TuQ to put up the numbers and service history that made it quantifiable. I have said for years that leadership in the brotherhood is about service not status, and there is none better at illustrating that than TuQ. As I said, I knew this man would be an elder someday from the moment I met him. I'm just happy to have been able to hang around long enough to be the one to write this recommendation when that day finally came.

Primary reason

Knight Elaine Conrat has reached the required 5000 XP to reach the rank of Equite 1.

In a day long anticipated Knight Elaine Conrat presented herself for elevation. Her patience had been rewarded as she entered the throne room she was shocked to find it empty except for a lowly aid.

“I was expecting Kamjin! A ceremony!,” Elaine pouted.

“Yes, of course,” the aid said, activating a view screen. The image of Kamjin, Emperor of the Scholae Palatinae empire floating in a Bacta tank appeared. As Elaine stared a stream of bubbles escalated his lips. “His excellency is extremely pleased with your progress and awaits eagerly your future promotions,” the aid translated as he deactivated the view screen. “Congratulations, move along,” he dismissed the bewildered new Warrior.

Seems like so many of our new folk are careening through the ranks, and Asani is no exception. She's worked hard to make this happen, earned the XP (as Zuza's data slap no doubt attests), and now it's time to collect the paycheck. So to Asani: congratulations and thank you for all the hard work you put in. We're happy to have you on the team and promote you to Knighthood!

Qyreia Arronen, 2023-08-10 15:37:03 UTC
Additional reasons

Others can speak better to the wonderful character, sass and style that is Asani, so let’s get our nerd on and look at these numbers. Our smollest bun has been plenty busy in the last just under a month since we were last here after all.

Across 4 container competitions, Asani participated in 15 competitions, earning herself a lovely collection of shinies including 4 Crescents, one of Topaz, two Sapphire and one of those ultimate Diamond stars; But her competition butt kicking isn’t the end of the story. Across 4 gaming activities she has collected 55 Clusters of Earth. She has also collected 7 clusters of graphite and 4 clusters of ice across 2 fiction activities, one as roleplay participants and another through regular fiction. Not only all of that, but Asani has even gained a Scroll of Indoctrination and added the flock being hosted in the Citadel.

For such a short span of time, Asani has certainly made effective use of it. Maybe I could say its because she has experience being short but I’d like my shins to remain attached, so let’s leave it at pure awesomeness radiation. Or something. It’s been a pleasure working with you Asani, wherever you go now and whatever you choose to do in the club is certainly shaking in it’s boots.

I shan't belabor an already robust recommendation for promoting Ta'xi to Knighthood (JM4), given the other paragraphs-long pieces by folks that know the interstellar-Uber better. Ta'xi's earned the XP, and now it's time to reap the rewards. Congratulations mate! It's great to have you on the team, and we look forward to seeing you continue to thrive.

Qyreia Arronen, 2023-08-10 15:34:29 UTC
Additional reasons

It has only been a month since we were last here to celebrate Ta’xi and his constant efforts in the club. Today, I'm here to recommend his advancement into knighthood. To get the numbers over with first, our dearest troubled civilian has participated in 15 competitions and 5 container comps and submitted 21 gaming activities. Across the gaming he has managed to draw in 224 clusters of fire as well as 273 clusters of earth. In only 21 activities! Alongside that tumultuous effort, his strengths in competitions have shone through already as across the competitions he participated in he placed in 5 of them including a first place with a diamond star crescent as his glimmering proof. He also earned 3 Amethyst crescents and 1 sapphire crescent.

Ta’xi has proven that when he sets his mind to a task, he is bound to achieve it and likely to excell. While these won’t appear just yet, he has begun to spread his roots to the world of fictions and roleplay and already has proven a team player in and beyond our corner of the Brotherhood. As someone who has spent time gaming with Ta’xi, there’s much to say on how kind and sociable he is. No matter what game that is thrown at him, he puts full effort into team work and ensures to remind others to do the same without there ever being a compromise in the fun being had. It doesn't matter who you are, there is no limit to who he'll draw in to collect those clusters and memories.

I couldn’t be prouder to have watched you progress while within the Selen Training Corps. Whichever house you choose as your home base will be brightened by your presence Ta’xi, I hope many ships, landspeeders and calm transport gigs lay in your future!

Envoy Zuza Lottson, 2023-08-09 19:03:23 UTC

Plucked from the Verpine's mandibles themselves, Ta'xi is one part nascar driver and the other part cellist, trying to work for a shipping company when he rather not deal with people or gunfire or hijinks of any sort. This insectoid has been working hard to be a model, five star transport agent and I'm here to tell you everything Ta'xi's Transport Services has accomplished according to their Galactic Yelp review. First and foremost, Ta'xi experienced their first ProBowl and crushed it, participating in ten competitions. An avid gamer, they also have participated in several cluster races. Their work in both Probowl and gaming comps had earned them a few crescent placements.

One doesn't have to go through Fave their valet droid, to arrange talking with the writer behind our chitin-covered friend. It isn't unusual to find Ta'xi hanging out in one of the Brotherhood voice chats at some point in the day. Easy-going, welcoming and chill fellow to chat with, Ta'xi is always interested in interacting with their fellow Brotherhood members. In fact, they often host gaming parties, providing an activity opportunity for others both of their clan and throughout the club to join in! The interest to collaborate with others carries on over to roleplays, in which Ta'xi has an interest in building adventures and tales with peers. While none of the roleplays they are in currently have closed yet, I feel it shows the creativity, commitment, and teamwork that they have demonstrated. Out of the handful of months I've gotten to work with Ta'xi, there was little to assist with. They are incredibly resourceful and dedicated a lot of their time early on reading and nailing academy exams on various Brotherhood areas.

It is with all of the above and more that I support this recommendation of promotion to Journeyman 4 for Ta'xi. Well done and may the shadows Fave guide your path to success and adventure!
