Halc did, does, and will continue to do work for the Brotherhood. That's who he is. Since his last recognition, Halc has participated in 103 competitions, co-organized 3 more, earned two novae, 22 crescents, 29 clusters, and I gather was generally a pain the ass of the Dark Council.

Since coming to the Master at Arms office, Halc has used his prior knowledge and experience (because he's an old ass DBer and a previous Master at Arms) to support our efforts.

The real work of the MAA Office comes in the day to day work of approving and denying medal requests, processing appointments and resignations, managing competitions (and manually editing competitions) – and knowing the nuances of our database to make competitions work (for instance, switching competition archetypes to allow manual addition of participants, and then switching it back). Like all that came before him and those that will come after - Halc's biggest contributions are related to the discussions that occur among the staff about medals and promotions. That happens with every single sacramental award (and many of the merit), every equite and higher promotion – that is where the bulk of the work occurs.

Enjoy your red club, Halcy von Doodle.

Additional reasons

Halcyon rejoined Taldryan back in 2018 shortly before my appointment for my second tenure as Consul of Clan Taldryan and stayed during my tenure. During that time Halcyon was a backbone for the activity and the fictional development of the Clan during that time. He also briefly joined me as Proconsul of the Clan.

Overall, Halcyon participated in a total of 80 Competitions during my second reign as Consul, adding 18 Crescents of various Rarities, 3 Legions of the Scholar, 6 Clusters of Graphite, and 10 Clusters of Ice, and most importantly 1 Seal of Loyalty to his achievements.

The above alone is a testament to the dedication of Halcyon but in fact, it's only half of what he stands for. Halcyon does all this not for himself but to give back to the rest of the Brotherhood.

This is what this Club is standing for and why Halcyon is more than deserving of this Ruby Scepter, congratulations Halcyon.

Rian Taldrya, 2021-12-30 22:19:28 UTC

Halc as my Praetor for 10 months did work hand in hand with me as Regent in covering almost everything, and his time as Magistrate and his time as Praetor the work done didn't change, just his site access. It was over a solid year of impact on the office processing requests of members, reviewing items and helping members create fun compelling items and fixing so many credit things on the site that went wrong. So much went wrong. Anything I accomplished over that year was accomplished because I didn't have to worry about the day to day because Halc is so awesome. He earned this medal years ago, may it drown in all his other accomplishments.

Primary reason

Kordath is without a doubt a premier leader in this club. There really is no other way to put it. He’s a pillar within Arcona, a paragon of activity and leadership. He has devoted countless hours to this club, both as a member and as a leader, even after reaching the heights of Elder rank.

Since his last promotion, he has organized 48 competitions, many of which were long-running club-wide competitions. He has also participated in 242 competitions. This has netted him a ton of clusters (34 Fire, 166 Ice, 37 Earth, 36 Graphite), a respectable number of crescents (2 Diamond, 7 Ruby, 20 Amethyst, 22 Sapphire, 10 Emerald, 4 Topaz, 3 Quartz), 5 PoBs and 3 LoS’s. During the last Vendettas, he scored a Gold Nova, a Silver Nova, a Bronze Nova, 12 Seals of Enmity, and 14 Seals of Vision. When he is not doing all the competitions, he is ACCing, having finished 8 matches and judged 32. His keyboard also goes brrrr outside the ACC, where he has written a total of 53,854 words of fiction. He passed 9 SA courses, gained 2 degrees, and has graded 6 courses. Finally, he received 2 Scrolls of Foundation and 8 Scrolls of Indoctrination!

In addition to his regular activity, he continues to work within multiple roles within the club. He had served as an ACC judge for over 2 years, and Turel’s recc will provide more insight into his work there. He is also finishing up his tenure as Arcona’s Rollmaster, a job that he’s held since January of 2020.

As Rollmaster, he works closely with new members by assessing their needs and helping to guide them through the process. For example, he recently helped one new join who had been stuck for a couple of weeks on the Trial of Identity. As Rollmaster, he has worked directly with 28 new joins. Of those, 11 remain active members of the club. He has seen 6 of them through to the rank of Knight. Knowing that his tenure is coming to an end, Kord has been working with newer members to get them ready to take over for him. He has been assisting them with applications and teaching them the ropes of leadership in our Clan.

From a project standpoint, he has also taken point in world-building through the Selen Development Project competition series. Once the judging was done on each of these competitions, he worked with Grot to facilitate translating the winning entries into wiki entries. He also worked closely with a few other Arconans to draft a lengthy proposal regarding changes to the Arconan fleet. Upon receiving the go-ahead, he took responsibility for purchasing and reorganizing the clan possessions. He continues to be instrumental with our Fleet, helping to plan out the best way to utilize our funds to have the strongest fleet for our Clan, along with how we would utilize the fleet fictionally.

On a more personal note, Kord has been instrumental to my success in Arcona. He showed me how to be a leader, pulling me up when I came over to this Clan. Working closely with him taught me a lot and I will be forever grateful for him. He also has been a steady hand to help guide me when real-life stuff knocked me off my feet. His dedication and friendship have been paramount to my ability to continue on.

He is a friendly and helpful presence no matter what the venue. Discord, Telegram, Hangouts, he is there (though he may not necessarily be awake), cracking jokes, sharing knowledge, and just generally being awesome. He is always quick to hype an event or to congratulate others for a promotion or an award.

I honestly don’t know what I would do without him. He is a huge asset to Arcona and to this club. He spends countless hours actively helping to make the DJB a more fun and interesting place. As such, I am proud to recommend him for a Ruby Scepter. Congratulations on your new RS Kord!

Additional reasons

Since his last recognition, Stres'tron'garmis or Kord was an absolute pillar of the Antei Combat Centre staff. In that time period, Kord has proven to be one of the most efficient and reliable judges, serving as lead judge on an impressive 32 matches. To put that number in context, Kord served as lead judge in 31% of all matches completed as one of nine judges completing judgments during that period. He also provided timely support to his fellow judges in the form of rule of two review on at least 8 additional matches. Kord completed 5 ACC qualification exams with an average turnaround time from member submission to grading of 10 hours. All these activities in support of the members who use the Antei Combat Centre required a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Kord also supported Arch and myself in our respective tenures as Combat Master through thoughtful and frank advice, participation in staff discussions and a detailed review of the current version of the ACC rubric prior to publication. In my tenure as Combat Master Kord was my rock and my cornerstone. If I had to put a conservative estimate to it I would say Kord has spent a solid 40-45 hours of direct work in support of the ACC since his last recognition. On behalf of Arch, myself and the larger fiction community, thank you for all your hard work!

Primary reason

I honestly don't know how someone can do all the things that Arch does and still be considered sane. He's been a long-time member of Odan-Urr, is the current Exarch and Right Hand of Justice, all while putting up big numbers and burning through competitions in his spare time between work, family, and other projects.

In Odan-Urr, Arch's presence has always been more than welcome. He's always willing to guide and teach others, support the Clan and it’s endeavors and offers to do the little things that are often overlooked. For example, he recently went through our entire library of Clan fictions, sorted them in chronological order, and assigned them numbers to provide us with a more straightforward and organized catalog.

Recently, he played a significant role in planning for our Clan's reconstruction and drafting the document used to propose our new fictional direction and provide ideas for how we currently operate as a Summit. His insight, especially from an Ex-Consul's perspective, has dramatically improved how the Summit works by reducing waste and alleviating many of the issues of more bloated Summits. Additionally, while planning our new storyline, Arch contributed fresh ideas. While I can't provide details, as the story is unfolding, his experienced eyes on the project helped bring it all together.

Now for some numbers, since his last award, he's participated in 224 competitions earning himself 14 Crescents with Diamond Stars, 20 Crescents with Ruby Stars, 41 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, 36 Crescents with Sapphire Stars, 17 Crescents with Emerald Stars, 7 Crescents with Topaz Stars and 2 Crescents with Quartz Stars. Fiction wise he's written a total of 12,773 words in 2 ACC battles and 14 Fiction Activities, earning himself 39 Clusters of Ice. For gaming, he's gained 1 Pendant of Blood, 37 Clusters of Fire, and 4 Clusters of Earth in 13 Gaming Activities. He's also earned 3 Dark Side Scrolls, 1 Scroll of the Master, 11 Legion of the Scholar, and 1 Seal of Loyalty. For his efforts during the last RoS, Arch had full bin participation and earned 2 Gold Nova, 3 Silver Nova, 2 Bronze Nova, and 14 Seals of Enmity. He has also completed 7 Shadow Academy courses and earned 2 Degrees. While not only a consumer of competitions, Arch has also organized 41 competitions, many of those for our 10th Anniversary Event and as QUA of House Sunrider.

Arch, I can't say it enough. Thank you immensely for the effort you have put into this Clan and the Club as a whole. We wouldn't be where we are today if not for volunteering all your time and skills. You’ve more than earned this Ruby Scepter, Congratulations!

Ambassador Revak K'Urr, 2021-12-30 18:05:00 UTC
Additional reasons

Arch is the best kind of thorn in my side. As one of my Hands, he has been an instrumental part of the continual monitoring and mediation of issues within the club. Within the capacity of his duties, Arch has had the opportunity to be directly involved in the investigation of potential cloning cases, alongside contacting new joins that trigger matches with existing accounts. This is in addition to his constant voice in the observation and discussion of behaviors and potential cases.

The Chamber of Justice is somewhat of a black box. If we're doing our job, you have no idea what we're doing, and that's the way I like it. But sometimes you gotta air out what the spooks are up to. In Arch's case, he's a beast of an investigator. He is able to compile and articulate extensive case details and background, drawing a factual line of events that can be presented for clear understanding. He has been instrumental in making my life a million times easier when it comes to the compilation of case documentation. Additionally, he has been a huge help in investigating and understanding IP locations and correlations.

It would be easy to sit back and push for punishments, as is his role, but Arch shows an understanding of the inherent fairness the system is designed to represent. He advocates for slow and methodical conclusions that allow for every positive possibility before falling onto the negative. He isn't punitive, but logical, and I appreciate that immensely.

I would not be lying to say that my transition onto the Chamber would have been infinitely more burdensome without his presence and I can't state enough how much that has meant to me and the workings of this club, for all members. Thank you, Arch, and you deserve this.

Rhylance only very recently stepped up to lead Arcona, but has accomplished a lot over the past two years, working as Proconsul of the Clan as well as part of the gaming staff with the Fist. He has participated in an incredible 372 different competitions spanning 3 different vendettas, organized another 76 competitions, and earned a range of novae and crescents for his skills and talents as a member. For all his work as a leader in a Clan and in the gaming community, he has earned this Ruby Scepter. Congratulations Rhylance.

Lord Evio Nezsa, 2021-08-20 03:20:29 UTC
Additional reasons

Rhylance is one of the most prolific Magistrates that the Office has seen in recent years. He has served almost two six-month terms since his last recognition and in that time he approved a whopping 462 PvE and 50 PvP activities. Rhylance also has the attention to detail required for the role because I'm not aware of a single error he made approving gaming activities. He also contributed greatly to the staff by hosting 10 competitions for the GMRG series in his time. Well done and if you ever get bored you are always welcome back!

Raiheaux, 2021-08-16 11:58:36 UTC

I truly don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t had Rhylance as my Proconsul. He's dependable and hard-working, always willing to help out or go the extra mile for any project that we happened to be working on.

Rhylance actively assisted with almost every aspect of the upper Summit responsibilities. He played an active role in planning the overarching clan storyline. He also assisted in its execution, by co-organizing the first two events in that storyline: A Normal, Completely Uneventful Vacation and Deep Waters Rising. He has helped with almost every report I have done, as we both had sections that we each were responsible for every month. He also took point in in the ACC Venue Project, which involved gathering, formatting and submitting descriptions and images for the new Arconan ACC venues.

Rhylance is truly a cut above, not just as a member of the club, but also as a leader. He has proven himself to be reliable, hard-working and versatile, and he more than deserves the Ruby Scepter that he’s been nominated for. Congratulations, Rhylance! It was an honor to have you as my Proconsul, just as it’s an honor to call you my friend.

Prolific, Copious, a metric ton, really I am not entirely sure of the right word or phrase to describe the exact amount of activity that Brimstone has demonstrated over the last two years since his last award. His participation levels are nothing short of astounding. The breadth and volume of his dedication to participating in large-scale events and competitions is a highlight of his work ethic. As someone once said, numbers don’t lie, so here are some figures on Brimstone's volume of work.

Since Brimstone was last recognized in January of 2019 (931 days ago) he has participated in 364 competitions. That is an average of nearly one competition every 2.5 days. His awards total 2 gold Nova, 53 Crescents, 535 Clusters, and 6 Pendants of blood. He composed 16,078 words of fiction and 7 run-on posts with a total of 4142 words. That is over 20,000 words of fiction. He also ran 17 competitions himself during this time frame. He gained 6 Shadow academy degrees and passed 19 total courses.

Brimstone's excellence in participation is perhaps shown in how he shows up for major events. Since his last award, we have had three Brotherhood-wide vendettas. During those vendettas, he participated in 30 events in GJWXIII, 13 in GJWXIV, and 14 in ROS: Escalations. For the third straight vendetta, Brimstone has gained 100% bin completion which is a rare feat in and of itself.

While normally reserved for leadership and projects the Ruby Scepter states that it is for extreme dedication to one or more specific aspects of the organization. Brimstone has shown that one can deserve this award for participation alone, albeit on a rare occasion. The sheer volume and time it takes to compile the numbers above is definitely extreme dedication. I am more than happy to recommend Brimstone for this prestigious award and am looking forward to his continued success in the Brotherhood and Clan Vizsla.

Mune has served as both a Magistrate and now Praetor in the Master at Arms office - both for close to a year each - and in that time he has become an invaluable member of this/my team - and of the Brotherhood's senior leadership. To put it bluntly, things would not run as well or as quick without him. Since becoming Praetor, Mune has helped pair up (or down - depending on the page) some of our policy pages - and has been invaluable in making them reflect the reality of the modern Brotherhood - and making them easier to understand and execute for our members and leaders.

In terms of day to day (or week to week) work - Mune has also been invaluable in keeping the Master at Arms Office up with its impressively short turn-around time for requests that come into the database, or that come in as emailed requests (when people remember to email him!). In that, he's processed hundreds of competition, medal, and promotion requests, and for every higher level merit, equite or higher promotion, or sacramental award - he's been involved in discussing the merits (ha!) of the recommendation.

Mune has done well for the Master at Arms Office over the past almost twoish years, and I have full confidence that I actually can go on vacation again, someday (or get swamped with real life) – he will be able to handle it and nobody will notice …because he already does handle it. I’m more than happy to award him a Red Club for his work!

Thank you Mune! Keep doing what you're doing.

Howlader Taldrya, 2021-03-29 01:01:06 UTC
Additional reasons

When I normally think of Mune, I think of a guy who is kind, generous, and always ready to lend anyone a helping hand or advice. Since I’ve known him during my time in CSP, Mune has always been there for others, ready to hear their concerns and discuss them or just being there for someone going through a hard time. When Mune has something he’s passionate about to work on, he devotes his time and skills whole-heartedly. I’ve definitely seen that when it comes to his responsibilities with the MAA. When it comes to Clan business, Mune will gladly offer advice and suggestions for the betterment of the Clan as a whole with the desire of seeing CSP continue to flourish and improve. Mune has also done what he can to help others in both the Clan and outside to help further fictional development for their characters through Character Development Workshop competitions. He is very much loved and appreciated by his fellow clanmates for all he has done and continues to do.

Looking at the metrics since his last sacramental award, Mune has organized 7 competitions and participated in 63 comps. He’s completed 6 PVP matches, 9 PVE matches, and 2 ACC battles. Within the SA, he’s passed 17 courses and gained 4 degrees. He’s received numerous awards including 16 crescents ranging from Ruby Star to Topaz Star. He’s also received 76 Clusters of Fire, 21 Clusters of Ice, 10 Clusters of Earth, 11 Clusters of Graphite, 13 Scrolls of Foundation, 1 Seal of Loyalty, 1 Seal of Discord, and 10 Seals of Vision. He also held the positions of Rollmaster and Pronconsul within CSP.

Devoted and caring, Mune is the kind of guy who reminds us all to see the good in everyone and to continue becoming better at whatever we may be passionate about. Mune is an example of what it means to be a member of the Brotherhood and Clan Scholae Palatinae, and I am very honored to see him receiving the Ruby Scepter. Congratulations, Mune, for this great honor! Well earned!

Blade Mistress Shadow Nighthunter, 2021-03-29 01:00:44 UTC

Mune Cinteroph, or “Mune-Mune” as I like to call him, has been a vital member of the ACC staff under both Arch and myself. During his term as an ACC judge, he has completed eight judgments, graded ten ACC qualifications (with an average turnaround of 12 hours) and provided rule of two support on at least seven matches. All of these activities require a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail. Additionally, Mune also reviewed the current version of the ACC rubric prior to publication to ensure it benefited the ACC community as a whole.

On a more personal note, Mune filled the unofficial role as “Senior Judge” from the time I took over as Combat Master until he departed staff last January. In that role he helped onboard new judges, contributed to staff discussions and gave me counsel as CM. Mune was my conscience on staff and wasn’t afraid to pull me aside and tell me when I could personally do better for the member base. His presence is missed on staff and I can honestly say I am a better Combat Master because I had Mune that first year. On behalf of myself, Arch and the rest of the ACC staff thank you for all your contributions!

Over the last year and a half, our Justicar, Dacien "Bubba" Victae, has become one of my most trusted advisors, and has shown himself to be among the hardest working members of the Dark Council. As Justicar, he has overseen half a dozen Chamber of Justice cases to completion. He has assisted in multiple Vendettas and top level competitions, including GJW XII and XIV, running both run-on events and being a secondary grader across many other competitions.

But the Justicar's work goes far beyond what is visible on his dossier or in his news posts. Bubba works very hard to ensure our members have a safe and enjoyable environment to participate in. This includes regular defusing of situations, constant communication with the Dark Council and Consuls, a constant participant in our Story Group, and has a hand in every major decision we make at the club level. Bubba is more than just in charge of our justice system; he is a key contributor to our leadership group.

For his efforts as an advisor and as Justicar, I am pleased to award Bubba a Ruby Scepter. Congratulations, Bubba!

Evant has been an exceptional Deputy Grand Master. In the 11 months since his promotion, he has run multiple major events, contributed to numerous projects, and helped to make the club a better place. As my second in command, he is constantly planning and developing projects for the club and assisting in all major decisions. He is one of the primary architects of our new Faction. More than anything, Evant has a passion for the Brotherhood universe unlike few members. His interest in developing and shaping the experiences of members was on display most recently when he ran GJW XIV to great success. A GJW is no easy task to run - let alone during a pandemic - but Evant did so extremely well. His tireless effort towards making the competition smooth for the membership was reflected in his regular updates and communication with Councilors, Consuls, and the membership.

For his exceptional effort these last 11 months, particularly in his exceptional organization and leadership during the Great Jedi War, I am pleased to award Evant a Ruby Scepter. Congratulations, Evant!

Idris has spent time as a member in Clan Vizsla and Battle Team Leader, a Magistrate and Praetor for the Herald office, and as Voice of the Brotherhood on the Dark Council during the time considered for this award. During which he has had his contributions felt to a newly formed Clan, the graphics office itself, and now to the fictional direction of the entire organization including a prologue and Great Jedi War itself.

As Voice, he has delivered on his promise to bring the DERP. Promoting the Telegram fictional community and members first and foremost, and maintaining a great staff to support him. He has continually driven changes to the CS system to make them more straightforward and easy to use solving issues along the way so that members can continue to portray the characters they want in our fictional world. As well as policy changes as necessary so everyone can enjoy their time using our systems. Then on top of that, he was instrumental in an event that formed a brand new Faction to take part in the Brotherhood wide fictional direction. Running 4 different fiction events during the latest Great Jedi War and personally overseeing the fiction being written to convey a story we’ve been working on for months that included representation from many different members.

For his efforts to constantly drive a better membership experience at every level he’s been in, and all his great work, I recommend a Ruby Scepter for Idris. Congratulations!

Aurora "Aura" Ta'var - Blade to most of us - has been the Consul of Clan Odan-Urr for the past 11 months, as well as working in service to the Grand Master as a Magistrate. She has participated in over 100 competitions over that time and written thousands of words of fiction. As Magistrate to the Grand Master, Blade helped with unit reports and provided valuable advice and suggestions on Clan positional structure.

As Consul, she has run standalone fiction, multiple part puzzle competitions, fun 7 part Halloween party events for the entire membership, a 6 part Clan event to celebrate life, an Event called Seven Pillars to advance the Clan’s fictional story, along with a range of standalone or multi-part competitions that keep the story going and engage the Clan’s members. Overall she has organized 60 competitions providing a wide range of activities for members of both the Brotherhood and her Clan. She has had incredible communication with her Clan, making them all aware of the roadmap ahead and events and accomplishments and DJB news. Maintaining the Clan summit and hiring people and keeping the community engaged.

For her amazing leadership of Clan Odan-Urr, and her work with the Grand Master, I recommend Aura a Ruby Scepter. Congratulations!
