Atra Ventus is a rising star in Clan Naga Sadow and a member that I believe will do great things for the Dark Brotherhood. He is already a very active member, as well as a strong leader, both officially and unofficially. Atra is versatile and dedicated. Furthermore, he has met all of the normal requirements for advancement to Dark Jedi Knight.

On the activity front, Atra is very good across the board. He is one of the most active members I have seen on TOR, gaining 85 Clusters of Fire in only the past few weeks. He has also entered numerous competitions, gaining many Crescents along the way. Furthermore, Atra is a very active participant in both Worldwreckers (the Clan’s official Runon) and Ambitions, the current VOICE competition. Additionally, Atra has made an effort to qualify in the ACC, which he has succeeded in doing. Finally, he displayed his ability in graphics by not only designing his own character image, but also that of another member’s as well. Atra has also completed numerous SA exams over his time as a journeyman.

Atra is a great leader, doing exceptionally well for one just now reaching Dark Jedi Knight. He is a leader I am proud to have in the Clan. He has helped other members regardless of his position where he can, both on IRC and Gtalk. Upon taking the mantle of Quaestor of House Shar Dahkan, he fit into the role well. He has already released a report, begun actively planning, and started getting to know his membership.

As with previous requirements, Atra has knocked out the static requirements for Dark Jedi Knight with determination. He has more than six weeks at Jedi Hunter, a Dark Cross, and numerous Crescents. Atra has participated in 15 total competitions. He also created and ran his own competition entitled “Written by the Victor”, which was DB-wide. For his Summit task, Atra edited the Naga Sadow wiki page, which was a tremendous help. For the final section, Atra has completed both leadership exams, gained far more than 40 Clusters of Fire, and obtained a Shadow Academy degree: Dark Maven: Combat.

For these reasons, I’m proud to submit this recommendation for Atra’s ascension to Dark Jedi Knight. You’ve more than earned it, now take up your lightsaber!

Since Atra’s last promotion, he has been a whirlwind of activity, knocking out each requirement with relative ease. With his recent promotion to Quaestor, we have seen this energy directed towards pushing the house forward. In terms of promotion requirements, Atra has a Dark Cross, many crescents he has earned through numerous competitions, and he has ran a competition titled "Written by the Victor". He has also taken the leadership exams and earned way more then 40 CFs. Atra has come to make his own path in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, it is time for him to come join those who have been Knighted and carry his lightsaber.

In my time as a member of Naga Sadow, I have seen members come and I have seen them go. Some flash brightly for a time, never to be heard from again; others, never make enough of a presence to be even counted as having joined. Fortunately, neither is the case for Atra Ventus.

I have observed his day-to-day dealings and have been, by and large, quite impressed. He attacks his tasks with enthusiasm and fervor, and always has a great attitude when dealing when all strata of the membership. His experience with similar online clubs outside of the DB shines through, as I have seen him offer advice to others with a knowledgeable hand, and his personality is quite engaging on both the mailing lists and on IRC. Atra has also demonstrated skill in Naga Sadow's forte, fiction writing; so much so, that I was compelled to invite him to join a team of veritable writing powerhouses in March's Monthly Topic; where our team places remains to be seen, but with his help I am confident that we will have, at the very least, a placing run-on.

Moreover, Atra has demonstrated his willingness to assist with the running of the Clan, as evidenced by his securing the office of Quaestor of House Shar Dakhan. He has begun to develop the House's identity by running several competitions, engaging the members in his charge with putting their own stamp on the House. This shows a vested interest in the continuing success of his unit and all that encompasses Clan Naga Sadow. He saw a need and sought to fill it, regardless of his rank. Selflessness on this level, by a member some would consider 'young', is rare indeed.

Atra has demonstrated that success and enjoyment can come from involvement with the DB, and he has clearly shown that he is a dedicated, experienced member who is having a great time and is interested in making sure that others have one as well. This, in my opinion, is the life's blood of any club that relies on a strong sense of community for its survival, and Atra, for lack of a better phrase, "gets it." He has put in his time, has completed his tasks...he has earned his lightsaber. Therefore, it is without reservation or hesitation that I hereby recommend the Hunter known as Atra Ventus be afforded the rank and privileges appertaining to Dark Jedi Knight from this day forth. As a member of Naga Sadow, Atra has long since tried to influence gamers to participate and has begun to lead by example taking up the mantle of Quaestor of House Shar Dakhan. As an apprentice, Atra has been incredibly eager to climb the ladder, seeking out anything he can to complete his assigned tasks. A talented member with many plans for the future of Shar Dakhan, Atra’s current drive is one I haven’t seen since my time as Aedile of Marka Ragnos or even Aedile of Naga Sadow itself; it is this infectious drive that has allowed him to complete his trials in such a timely manner and this drive that will allow him to guide his members going forward. Having run a Brotherhood-wide competition with “Written by the Victor”, several HM Flashpoints, the SA Leadership exams, more than 40 Clusters of Fire, a Shadow Academy Degree and a quality Wiki article; I am more than pleased to write this recommendation for my apprentice.

House Odan-Urr thanks Jedi Knight VanWyck for his continued efforts and accomplishments. I would like to as Aedile put forth a recommendation for VanWyck to be elevated in rank to the rung of first tier Equites. This member has shown consistent service and dedication to house and house member alike in the activities of competitions, the Master/Student Program, and Summit assistance.

Vanwyck has contributed to handfuls of recent competitions, even placing in two of them earning himself two crescents. Aside from competitions VanWyck has also earned himself a Dark Cross representative of his efforts and accomplishments supporting and contributing to the Master/Student Program. From the systems earlist days of reformation VanWyck was present offering Morotheri several highly valuable solutions and innovations for which he needs to be rewarded for.

More recently Master VanWyck has managed to see his apprentice Caleb Sal, now known as Xaezhul, through the ranks to Jedi Knight completing tutelage of him. He has also become a member of the Lightwalkers Battleteam and continues to offer his assistance to the Summit. During his time as a Jedi Knight within House Odan-Urr's ranks, VanWyck has shown an astonishing amount of activity. As a Rollmaster, VanWyck has helped me settle in to my new leadership position, and has been instrumental in plotting out ideas that have been implemented to make the Master/Padawan Program revamp work out for the better (he has come up with every idea and detail regarding the Master/Padawan Reports, as well as having come up with ideas I have used to improve the Promotion Requirements email chains I have set up for each Padawan to better keep track of each one's progress). While he has been a great help in the Master/Padawan revamp, Vanwyck has taken on two new Padawans, Caleb Sal (now Cable) and Valanis. One of which (Caleb Sal), he has trained to Jedi Knight successfully faster than any other Master has done in this house yet. As a Rollmaster, I am well aware of the extraordinary amount of communication he has with his Padawans. VanWyck has also been the most active in regards to the Master/Student RunOns in comparision to other Master/Padawan parings, which has attained no less than twelve posts. I am proud to say that VanWyck has done far more than is neccissary for this promotion, and hope that he keeps up this impressive level of activity in the years to come.- RM Morotheri Mithfaron

Well, what can I say that people don’t already know and hasn't been said? VanWyck is a hard worker and strives to improve everything in the workings of the House. Whilst taking me to the rank of DJK he was extremely attentive and offered a clear guiding hand. Whilst offering help to the house he did not lose track of everything else that was his responsibility. Along with being a good worker and attentive. As a person he provides a nice atmosphere and does not dampen the group for anybody. He offers help to anyone who needs it and is an all round asset to the house.
