<br><br> Recommendations: <br><br> Giovanni Palermo's tenure in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood has been a tumultuous one. His arrival in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood in 2007 was first highlighted by his quick ascension in rank up until he became Jedi Hunter in January of 2008. Since then, for over three years, he has remained at that rank due to higher priorities in real life that drew him away from the Brotherhood at large. Until now. <br><br> I picked Gio up as my apprentice in 2010 with the intention of getting him to Dark Jedi Knight, and neither he nor I faltered on that goal. In many ways, he became somewhat of a shadow in the Brotherhood before I found him. His former masters tended to disappear, and events occurring outside the Brotherhood kept him busy to the point that all he could do was keep his name online on IRC. When I came along, I was Consul of Clan Tarentum at the time, and we developed a friendship throughout the year as I encouraged him - without badgering - to complete the lengthy list of requirements necessitated for this esteemed promotion. <br><br> It is 2011 now, and we are members of Arcona. Gio may not prove to be the most active of members, nor the most present or charismatic. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. If anything, Gio harbored a quiet but strong affinity for the Brotherhood for a long time. Despite adversity and many instances in which he considered quitting, he stayed on for the ride with a hope that he would obtain the help and strength he needed to progress. And progress he did, by true determination, perseverance, and courage. <br><br> I have seen the twists and turns that have risen in the path that is Giovanni's life. He has faced great adversity in the club and away from it, and yet here he is, still capable of demonstrating his caliber at being an active and goal-oriented member. His consistent exchange of ideas with me, intellect, and observations has helped me a great deal as a leader and assistant. He is an honest, generous young man who cares about what others think and how to improve assets of the world around him. Nothing can be fixed instantly, but his awareness is what finally brought him to this place after years of staying in the same spot. <br><br> Gio, you are my friend no matter what storms come between us. I'm proud of you for achieving this great milestone in the Brotherhood. Even if you leave later on to fully concentrate on your life goals, remember that in this little club, you've shown your stuff. <br><br> It really has been a privilege getting to know Gio in the past few months. It's a true honor to have him as one of my members, and he has maintained an active presence on IRC while also taking it into his own hands to run a few fun competitions for the other members of HQD, as well as putting in his own efforts to the already existing competitions. I think this promotion is a long time in coming, and I think it's more than deserved. It is with great honor that I request from you a promotion for my student, Skysz, from his current rank of Acolyte to the rank of Protector.

Skysz has shown his worthiness of this rank by completing the ACC Basics Exam and creating a Character Sheet as well as passing four other Shadow Academy exams and staying active on IRC. Lastly he has begun building his Character History on his wiki page.
