Reaper Ryuu Suoh has reached the required 11533 Medal XP to earn their first Amethyst Kukri.
Captain Jim Nova, 2024-05-24 00:35:46 UTC

Ryuu Suoh, or as most of us know him, Nero, has been a part of my Brotherhood experience since the beginning, casually dragging me from another community to The Brotherhood into Clan Odan-Urr seven years ago, telling me about a good fiction writing community and gaming haven, failing to tell me about the (at the time) lack of standardized Roleplay (despite bringing me from a roleplay community) and throwing me into the maw of the Gaming Centric COU, where I was handily beaten in Jedi Academy by Blade, every available weekend until life pulled me from The Brotherhood.
Over the next few years, Nero would occasionally reach out to me and try and bring me back to the Brotherhood, occasionally I would pop in, and check the community out for a few weeks without rejoining a Clan because nowhere felt as homey as before. When I did finally alight, Nero was the one who set my feet on the ground and reintroduced me to The Brotherhood at large again, helped me regain my bearings, and got me settled with our friends back in Arcona.
Now, a year and a half later, he serves as our Magistrate in charge of COU's Gaming run, full circle with the ultimate reason he brought me to COU nearly a decade ago, bring friends, game with friends, get more people in the Clan Gaming. Something he has been proficient at.
Since he came to us as Magistrate he spun up competition after competition, following gaming trends, and keeping our boards loaded with activities for our members to partake of. The response was nearly immediate, faces we hadn't seen in some time began to stir, others began to add gaming to their regular activity log the program established has been widely successful.
Nero has proven to us that if you provide activities, members will join them, and routinely performed outreach within the Clan to stir those who had been quiet, to make sure they knew that the activities were there.
You've definitely earned this,
Ever Onwards, Nero!

Brujah is an absolute unit.
Since his last medal on March 3rd, he has participated in 175 Competitions. That is 81 days, more than 2 competitions a day! He has written two fictions, gamed 15 times, completed 2 ACC battles, Passed 4 SA courses, ranked up in societies 10 times, earned 4 Diamond Crescents, 11 ruby, 13 amethyst 12 sapphire, 4 emerald, 197 CFs, 48 CGs, 12 CIs, and a scroll of the Master.
My man is literally doing ALL the things!
The amount of work he's put in the last couple of months is absolutely staggering. My inbox is just FULL of things with his name on them. He's out here doing the dang thang!
I am having such a hard time wrapping my head around the mountain of effort he's put in that I'm basically at a loss for words. Look at those numbers! In just under 3 months! INSANE! On top of the personal activity, he's helped his apprentice reach Knighthood and remains an active member of our Clan chat, how he has the time for Discord, I don't know. But, color me impressed. Brujah, you've more than earned this medal. You have been out there on the grind. It is so awesome to see the ferocity with which you have attacked. Keep up the fantastic work!

Adept Malisane Sadow is one of our pillars within the Clan. When you speak of House Shar Dakhan, Malisane will always be a topic of that conversation. Although he has taken a well deserved reprieve from Summit duties, he still serves as a mentor to the current Quaestor. If one wants to know about expanding House territories, Malisane is your world building subject matter expert.
SInce his last recognition Malisane has bagged two hundred forty seven comps, twenty eight crescents, fifty four Crescents, thirteen Seals of Ascension and fourteen Seals of Transcendence.
Adept Malisane Sadow, you have reached the required Medal XP to earn your very first Amethyst Kukri. It is with great pleasure to be a part of this award and I am sure it will not be your last! Congrats Sir!!
Adept DarkHawk Sadow, 2024-05-20 20:18:32 UTC
Malisane has been a quiet pillar in the Clan for years at this point. He's not the type to draw attention to his accomplishments, but he has been grinding away at activities for as long as I can remember. Always coming out to support events, be it clan or club-wide, he's there to help encourage members and leaders alike to do more.
Malisane is also invaluable as an advisor, a sounding board for new ideas and concepts, and a steady hand to help new leaders keep at what can sometimes be an opaque and challenging role. All around, we are quite lucky to have Malisane as a pillar here in Clan Naga Sadow, and I am more than grateful to be able to add my words to his most recent (and third) Sapphire Blade.
Congratulations, and thank you for all that you have done, Malisane.

Since his last medal award in October of 2023, Titius Osseus has continued to produce an absolute whirlwind of activity. On the score sheet, he's submitted entries to 201 non-container competitions. For those entries, he has netted placements to earn him the following crescents: 2 Ruby, 8 Amethyst, 5 Sapphire, 9 Emerald, 4 Topaz, and 2 Quartz. More impressively, he has brought home a combined total of 869 gaming crescents, showing an impressive level of gaming over the intervening months. Additionally, he has earned 24 Clusters of Ice for his writing, divided between two ACC battles, 1 fiction activity, and 7 roleplaying sessions. Rounding things out, he has also been granted 12 Clusters of Graphite, 4 Scrolls of Foundation for recruitment activity, and 14 Vendetta seals for his entries in the last Great Jedi War. Finally, he's even managed 10 Society rank increases across all six Brotherhood societies.
Beyond his exceptional level of trackable activity, Titius has also recently stepped up in a leadership capacity in the Ascendant Clan. Since assuming his current Quaestor role on the penultimate day in March he has demonstrated an admirable level of activity and engagement on behalf of his house members. He has completed both of his monthly reports so far, the first with only just over a week on the job. He's also been on the ball when it comes to site-generated medal and promotion requests, jumping on those in a timely manner to ensure members are rewarded promptly once they cross their required XP thresholds. Add that to his excellent efforts in the area of direct member outreach and activity generation, and you've got one of the stand out summit members in the Brotherhood.
For all of his efforts, I take great pleasure in recommending Titius Osseus for his first Amethyst Kukri. May it be just another step on his progression and advancement through the Brotherhood.

Since joining the Taldryan Summit, Meleu has been a powerhouse of a summit member and for that we are ever thankful. Having hosted 19 different competitions, and participated in another 15, he has managed to bring in 6 Crescents, 11 Clusters of Ice, 3 Clusters of Graphite, in addition to a Dark Side Scroll. He has also participated in three different RPs, with nearly 5,100 words between them; also pulling in 3 separate rank ups within the Envoy Society due to that; and an impressive 4 separate Shroud Syndicate rank ups in addition.
In January shortly after joining the summit, Meleu completed the arduous task of going through the entirety of the Taldryan wiki to create a spreadsheet detailing everything from top to bottom; the last time the page had been edited, our fictionally up to date pages, to pages that he felt needed updating, needed to be archived, were actively under construction (or were being constructed but had been left idle for an extended period of time), and obsolete pages that needed to be deleted. This detail included our military pages, former houses and our active assets, our current and older territories, non-playable characters (to which we've identified five separate ones that are being updated to be used once again, thanks to his efforts), and our auxiliary divisions. In total, he went through 105 different pages; and has currently made changes and contributions to 35 of those himself.
For our upcoming campaign, Sins of an Empire, he has been a critical asset in developing the fine details surrounding the environments in which it is going to be set. While we were busy at work writing the core story of which I can't go into much detail yet due to it yet having to have taken place to avoid spoilers getting out, he was busy creating the system itself; the Frelos System. Within the system, seven different worlds were created along with the main capital world; Trexxa. It is on Trexxa that the core of the first event is going to take place, and to facilitate its usefulness to members, Meleu went into deep detail on even its most miniscule of details.
Those being; Trexxa's strategic importance, the internal struggles and role that the DEC is going to play on Trexxa, the core impact that the Human League's efforts and iron-fisted rule of the Dalicron Sector have been having on Trexxa and its environment, how due to those efforts it has quickly been becoming a flashpoint and symbol of resistance within not just the Frelos system; but the sector as a whole; and the repercussions of this through both Dalicron and the surrounding sectors including our own.
He has also created several wiki pages for the Frelos System, Trexxa, and Palikir City; all completed and in final draft status approved by myself and Anders; ready to go onto the site itself in the coming weeks as we approach the event at the end of the month.
Even in summit chat, Meleu has been a constant presence giving ideas and thoughts into not just Sins of an Empire, but the direction of our clan narrative at large; story contributions into the Fortress Cloudhaven, and upcoming developments on Kasiya; our main homeworld.
You've done an amazing job so far, Meleu, and it is with great pleasure that I am able to bestow upon you your first Amethyst Kukri. Congratulations on behalf of myself, Anders, the rest of the summit, and Taldryan as a whole.
Drinks are on you!

Since his last medal, Teebu has organized 12 comps, including the Talydrithmas and Fortress Cloudhaven events, participated in 51, and DMed seven RP sessions for a total of over 20k words. Teebu has built a strong summit with the additions of Appius and Alaisy, and their hard work shows: for the first quarter of 2024, Taldryan saw an impressive 96% of its members participate in competitions.
Teebu is a constant and encouraging presence on Discord and has made a strong effort to build Tal's community while constantly looking for ways to improve the club as a whole. Congratulations, Teebu!

If there's one thing I know about Cassandra, (formerly known as Tiddles the Ewok before that character was eaten by our Justicar,) its that he likes to plan ahead.
Currently, the Taldryan Summit is in the process of preparing for the next major Clan event to take place sometime in the summer. Teebu has had us working since the start of the year in preparation for it. Whether it is aiding Meleu in updating/creating gods only know how many wiki pages, writing fiction updates himself, or assigning myself and Alaisy to faction and lore creation. He very much is the brain of the operation sending the commands to the other organs of the summit.
Weird metaphor aside, Cassandra developed the fictional background for the most recent Taldryan event, planning competitions, and developing story beats for the RP that run alongside it.
He's also a big proponent of the #OneBrotherhood initiative. We recently finished a joint Clan event with Arcona, Odan-Urr, and Naga Sadow. He brought it before the summit and voiced his approval of doing such an event with members all across the club.
Cassandra, Teebu, Tibbles, congratulations on your AK! You earned it!
Grand Inquisitor "Aequitas" Anderson, 2024-04-14 15:38:19 UTC
Since rejoining my staff in the fall as Magistrate to the Regent, Teebu (Cassandra) has been a force to be reckoned with; he’s handled a large portion of the QoL fixes that have gone on behind the scene with clan unit possessions, including description edits to several items to bring them in line with Wookieepedia, completing full stock rules audits on all five types of clan land vehicle unit possessions (which included at minimum adding an un-stock rule for Antrophos Military Academy), and decommissioned seventy four of those items from AMA’s inventory. He performed the same sort of audit on all clan space vehicle unit possessions.
Like all of my staff members Teebu was integral in the inception and deployment of our first step towards a refined crafting system, participating frequently in the mountainous talks, thresholds and costs and other factors we needed to take into consideration. He worked on the development of Member Corvette costs and pricing, added seven Member Corvette crafting material prototypes of his own, and worked to provide both pre and post-crafting framework launch support. He conducted two quality control passes on member corvette crafting materials, helped add both lightsaber and member corvette blueprints to the site, and went through the task of creating all of the clone “disassemble” recipes required to uncraft an item. He continued to spot check items post-launch by making sure crafting materials were not running empty why we investigated why they were not stocking correctly.
Once a year for the two previous years we have run our Life Day Celebration Series competition, and like other members of my staff Teebu helped both plan and execute that competition series run club-wide, personally participating as a judge on several of the competitions and ensuring a smooth event overall.
For his continued service to the Brotherhood at large, often from behind the scenes, I hereby append this recommendation. Thanks for all the hard work, Teebu.

Erin hit the ground running as M:EMS and then, unexpectedly, as EMS. She has spearheaded some quick quality of life changes to the site, worked to improve the data reporting available to our leaders, and created a new member feedback form. Behind the scenes, she has developed concepts for a larger redesign of the news page and has been working with James to determine the best path forward. She also led the charge to assign XP values to a vast majority of DC staff processing work, which, once implemented, will result in DCers and their staffs receiving a constant, reliable stream of XP for their work on the site rather than having to wait for periodic awarding and hope for the best. In addition to all of that, she has been an extremely active participant in DC discussions since becoming EMS. Thanks for all of your work, Erin!

Since her last award, Erinyes has, in addition to various smaller tweaks and changes to various components of the Brotherhood codebase, extended the various reporting tools to deliver additional information. For example, the Roleplaying Report Tool for the Envoy Staff now includes a leaderboard of Envoy Mark and Golden Envoy Mark recipients, the Unit Activity Report now includes statistics on SA courses passed, and the Activity Assessment now includes information about society rank-ups. Finally, originating from her role as M:EMS and then EMS, Erinyes spearheaded an effort to streamline the site's main navigation bar, increasing the user-friendliness of the site and making it easier for uses to find the information they're looking for.
Thanks for all your work, and congratulations!

CNS has a long history of reliable, hardworking consuls and DarkHawk fits that mold as well as any of his predecessors. In the last six months, he has organized 22 competitions, participated in 94, and earned dozens of clusters of all four kinds. He's a constant presence on Discord and is always eager to help. Most recently, he has helped to organize and promote CNS's involvement in the multi-clan "Gods, We Dine In Brimstone" event and overseen a House leadership shuffle and BT reorganization.
Since his last medal, CNS has thrived: the clan has gained eight new members, and 29 out of 37 of them (78%) participated in at least one competition (in fact, all 29 of them participated in more than one comp) and a solid 15 (40%) participated in at least a dozen comps. In that same period, 20 members of CNS earned CIs, CFs, CEs, or CGs, for a total of over 1800 clusters. DH led the way by being the only member of his clan to earn each cluster since October.
For all of that, I'm very happy to award him his first AK!

There is a lot that goes into being a leader. It's more than just reports and stoically reminding people about open competitions. You have to engage with your members, find out what they are here for, and use that information to push them further and further into activity. This can be tough when you have a unit like Naga Sadow, that has over a third of its members as elders already. It takes a special mix of cheerleading and understanding to engage with us stodgy old retirees, and still have enough in the tank to encourage newer members as we get them. Darkhawk's infectious energy is key to this. He is all but exploding in discord with excitement at news for any one of our members with his trademarked 'Booooom!'s. Almost universally available in chats or voice chats, he's there as a constant presence to talk about anything and everything, from the fine details of ships and saber forms to 1980's action movies, not the least of which starred Mark Hammill and Harrison Ford.
Darkhawk drags other members in like Batman, finding out what their weaknesses are and leveraging that into relevant activities, be it engaging with old fleet guys like Hades and getting them engaged on clan fleet discussions, or pivoting people who poked their head back in for old games into the new Helldivers like Strask. He helps to drag our old and tired forward with tastes of what they loved in the past, and helps them get aquainted with the new hot systems, like dragging Malisane's love for run-ons into enjoying the new Role Playing system. This helps energize the old guard, who in turn bring their excitement to the new members, as we are seeing with some of these older members asking about taking on new apprentices again for the first time in literal years.
Behind the scenes, DarkHawk is always plotting with me, bouncing ideas off of each other, setting the path forward fictionally for the clan, scheming on clan events and helping tie our clan concept into more of what it is we do in official systems. We have a standing voice call every week to this effect, ever pushing toward a goal of a more engaged membership.
Darkhawk also works closely with leadership of other clans, helping build those diplomatic ties between units so that there is more stuff for our members to do, so that there are more friends for our members to make, breaking down the old indendent city-state rivalries so that they are nothing more than just friendly rivalries. In those relationships, he leans on those folks, figuring out what works well for their units, always with an eye to see how they could be adapted to our clan for our own internal improvement.
It is for all of these reasons that I am more than happy to put my oar in and back the efforts to award DarkHawk with an Amethyst Kukri. Thank you, Darkhawk, for all that you've done to help us all so far, and for all that I know that you'll continue to do.

Since his last recognition in October, Zoron has amassed the XP necessary for this AK by participating in 110 competitions, 9 gaming activities, 5 courses, and a whole lot of crescents: 14 diamonds, 33 ruby, 19 amethyst, 11 sapphire, 4 emerald, 1 topaz and 1 quartz. Along with that is 72 clusters of fire and 51 clusters of earth. The 12 Seals of Transcendence helped "seal" the deal. Congratulations!

Malfearak has only been Herald for a few months, but in that time he has made a significant impact in the functioning of the office. Since his last medal, he has a total of seven months of work as M:Herald and three as Herald. In that time, he created seven solo robes, 5 solo weapons, and seven warbanners. As Magistrate he also spearheaded a new team-based model for the office, in which multiple staffers work on different stages of a single graphic. This new system has worked to help clear the existing backlog, and Mal has been involved in five team robes and one team weapon as part of it.
He also created a new set of DC news header images, revised Herald Office policies including the Avatar, Custom Graphic Requisition, and Competition Guidelines policies--and introduced double clusters for Herald competitions and revised the graphics comp difficulty modifiers. Finally, he also created the artwork for the newest DB medal, the Dantes Spear.
