Primary reason: Sera Kaern has only just kicked the door down and returned to the clan a week ago. Yet, they have accrued the 5125 medal xp for a shiny new Sapphire Blade! Much of this is due to the mountain of activity they had done in the past now providing that sweet enticing experience points! Starting with a bit of activity since their last award before they returned to being a bamf in training, they completed 2 competitions with 1535 words of fiction and netted an Emerald Star Crescents. Over Sera’s lifetime of being in the Brotherhood, they had earned 1,476,840 credits for the clan. During those handful of years, they had earned 105 Clusters of Fire, 59 Clusters of Graphite, and 332 Clusters of Ice. Hawt damn! Also, they netted 56 Vendetta Seals!!! The trivia genius also won a Legion of Scholar, and a Scroll of Indoctrination for recruiting a friend!

Sera Kaern is a fantastic friend whom I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know, to write and create with. Their camaraderie with peers is top tier, outgoing and encouraging. Their love of collaborating with fellow members genuinely inspires those around them, just as much as it has the energy of a certain spar-happy Zabrak. Sera’s character was held fast and true as a leader, eager to assist, engage, and help develop the tales and sandbox of the time they served.

I am honored to present Sera Kaern the first of what might be many more awards in the future. Congratulations, Tatts! And welcome back again!

Additional reasons: The prodigal kicky-captain returns home. In coalescing her previous work in combination with the new systems put into play while Sera was away, the Sapphire Blade is a perfect bridge from the old to the new. Sapphire Blades were originally scoped to long term commitment to a Clan or the Brotherhood, so in spirit, I believe this is a fitting time to give Sera another thing to potentially stab people with. Also, swords are cool.

Sera has ranked up 12 times in different societies thanks to the formation of the ACC and RP societies, which is a testament to work that was done, but now is recognized formally in a much different way.

We are so excited to have Sera back in Arcona and House-Qel Droma, and look forward to all the great things and butt-kicking Sera has in store for the future!

I personally don't know Sera, they've just returned to Arcona after a challenging time away and we haven't had the chance to get to know one another. However, the instant they were potentially coming back, the clan was abuzz with the news. So many chats I'm apart of had comments on the prospect, it was clear this was something to take note of - and I get it now. In reviewing their unawarded activities from a time before the XP experience, it's clear that Sera is a dedicated member of the clan with proven track record of excellency. Additionally, in watching their returning interactions with the member of the clan it's clear they are a natural fit for our community and has put the effort in to getting to know folks. It's refreshing seeing someone's reputation matching their actions and I, too, have joined the chorus of joy in seeing Sera return to the clan and join us in our Qel-Droma community.
