It's hard to think of Tarentum without thinking of Sith Bloodfyre. One could focus on the history he's created for the Clan with his constant involvement in its fiction. You could also look at his dedication from all the positions he's held and the impact he's had in them. However, these aren't the reasons that comes to mind when thinking of Tarentum today - and that's because of his consistent activity, his constant cheerleading, his guidance and support, and the river of idea that flows from him for change in Tarentum. For just over three months now I have been Consul of Tarentum, and not a day has gone by without Bloodfyre's name making its way into my inbox in some way. Over the course of the last three months he's completed two Dark Pundit, two Dark Mavens, two Dark Savants, and 1 Dark Sage; all of this through the completion of 14 Journeymen Courses and 26 Shadow Academy courses. Additionally, he's participated in 6 competitions, earning placements in two of them, and be a supporting character on TOR for our membership by providing guidance and support without recognition for himself; whether its been helping coordinator raids and world bosses or simply helping new members get started by explaining the game to them. This is typical of Beef and why I wish to award him today; he's Tarentum's biggest cheerleader and he never let's up. Whether its opening dialogue on the mailing list (as he was recognized by Sarin for before, and since has continued to do), or on IRC, and mostly importantly on Telegram where Beef is the first person to make sure a new Tarenti gets added and then feels welcomed on the channel. This is the same across platforms Tarentum is involved in; whether its the SA and him encouraging others (even Equites and fellow Elders) to do coursework, promoting competitions and gaming on the telegram channel, or getting involved in other activities like positions, wiki work, or anything that comes up really. He inspires spirituality and community for Tarentum through his cheerleading and it's part of the success we've had to date in removing ourselves from probation status. This alone is what I hoped to award Beef for but then that dismisses the support and guidance he's provided the Clan Summit over the past three months, through his insights and ideas and the many discussions he's started with us. He's even gone above and beyond by being the one to present other's ideas who have been too nervous or unsure, and he desires to see everyone else recognized for their efforts without taking any for himself. Finally, Bloodfyre is one of two members who is directly responsible for the rise in Tarentum's membership numbers and it was Beef that lead the charge in recruiting veteran members. Tarentum is better today directly because of Bloodfyre's efforts, and it would be a shame not to award the example he provides to every other member of Tarenti. Since returning from the Rogues in April, Dox has picked right back up on the gaming front, taking a leading role in Tarentum's focus in that area by earning 44 Clusters of Fire and a Pendant of Blood in the span of a month. I am pleased to recommend this Dark Cross to Dox as a thanks for the work he's put in on putting Tarentum back on the gaming map.

Since I last recommended Pel for a Dark Cross a month ago, this veteran member of our Clan has continued to keep his nose to the grindstone and work for the betterment of Tarentum, even though he long ago earned the right to rest on his laurels. In the past month, Pel has taken and passed four more Shadow Academy courses (including Leadership Reports, which is by design not the easiest course in the SA), earned himself a Dark Maven in Leadership, and reached rank V in the Shadow Academy Society. He also received a Crescent with a Sapphire Star for placing second in a Clan-wide competition.

However, the real reason I feel Pel is more than deserving of this award is his continued mentorship of not only his incredibly talented and capable student, Itshim, but of the Clan as a whole. For example, he uploaded a veritable treasure trove of Tarentum documents - old plotlines, proposals, fiction, and numerous others - that he had so that the old timers in our Clan could reminiscence but, more importantly, our newer members could begin to appreciate the history of where Tarentum has come from. This was an incredible find and is worthy of a Dark Cross all on its own to my thinking. Thank you for your continued excellence, Pel - I know you're going to keep it up!

Zekk returned to our active ranks about a month and a half ago and has blown us away with his gaming prowess since, earning 18 Clusters of Fire in the span of four days and a whopping 8 Pendants of Blood (with a Crescent with a Sapphire Star in a gaming-related comp to boot). Tarentum is striving to make a name for itself as a gaming powerhouse, and that reputation is certainly being built by people like Zekk. Scion has shown himself to be a very successful mobile gamer over the past month and a half, accruing an awesome 51 Clusters of Fire for various Star Wars Commander competitions run by the FIST, placing second (and receiving a Crescent with an Amethyst Star in the process) in one of them. Itshim has been on my radar constantly since he joined the club, and that's because he's been consistently active since arriving. It's always nice to have a journeymen who is engaged and passionate already at this level; however, Itshim has taken it further by trying to get involved more and more into the DJB. Whether its his consistent activity in the SA (earning 5 courses in the last ten days), or trying new things out like recently learning pazaak and engaging other Tarenti in it - he's here for the longhaul, I know already. Itshim is also extremely active on the Tarentum channels and its from this and speaking to the summit on what else he can do that he was chosen for Battleteam Sergaent so we could train him as a future leader. Yet, never to disappoint, Itshim has dived into the new position and is taking aims to get those in his team more involved and active for the end goal of getting houses back in to Tarentum. To thank him for his work, his effort, and for his great activity I'd like to award him his first merit award. Congrats.

Havok, by his name you would assume this member would bring widespread destruction to anywhere he goes - since his return to Tarentum its been quite the opposite. Bringing destruction to the enemies of Tarentum, Havok has been a great contribution to the Clan's efforts in TOR and in particular its weekly raiding events in May. From assisting in organizing nights, to helping others defeat world bosses or just level up; this hands on activity is something I rarely have experienced from people with the rank Grand Master and I am thankful for the example that Havok provides to all Tarenti and other TOR players. He is one of our most valued gaming cheerleaders and he backs it up with consistent activity since returning. So for the example he sets, for the help he's provided the clan as a whole and the individuals he's teamed up with, and finally for the consistent activity over the course of May I'd like to award Havok his first merit award in four years.
