Primary reason: There are few individuals in the Dark Brotherhood with as much potential as Ashron. Since being promoted to Guardian, over five months ago, he has received 9 Clusters of Fire, a Sapphire Crescent, a Ruby Crescent, an Amethyst Crescent, Two Topaz Crescents and a Quartz Crescent. His level of activity during the Independence Games earned him 11 Seals of Remembrance, 2nd Place within Clan Plagueis and a Steel Cross. He participated in the Shadow Academy Course Audit, auditing the General Leadership course, and received a Scroll of Foundation for it. Also in the Shadow Academy, he has completed the Wiki Basics, Starfighter Studies, Old Republic History, and Capital Starship Studies Courses. He also completed his Test of Wisdom, successfully took the Leadership Fundamentals Course and received a Dark Maven in History. On top of this, he wrote the initial fiction for the War of Ascension competition, currently being run in Clan Plagueis.

Primary reason: Clan Plagueis recently participated in the Brotherhood-wide 2008 Independence Games; engaging in friendly rivalry with its fellow Clans as they celebrated our Exodus from the Emperor's Hammer. Our Clan battled for top honors, but ultimately fell short with a Fourth Overall finish. However, several new, young members established themselves as strong participants and role models for all in our Clan. These members, the driving force of our activity, deserve recognition and honors for their efforts.

Ashron delivered big for Clan Plagueis. What is more impressive is that he did so with relatively zero experience in major DB-wide events. As a mere Protector, he drove participation by hitting double digit event submissions and winning/placing in several of those events. Additionally, he brought in the second most points for our Clan; delivering nearly 1/5 of our total points. I can only hope that his zealousness rubs off on others... thanks for being a great role model, Ashron.

The first merit medal in one's career holds special significance and great meaning. It is the promise of all that you have done and all that can yet be done. And it is my honor to present Ashron - one of Plagueis' brightest, rising stars - with his first.

Since his elevation to Guardian, Ashron has collected three crescents (1 Cr-T, 1 Cr-Q, 1 Cr-S), four (4) Clusters of Fire, in addition to four additional submissions to CON Report Trivia Challenge and Proconsul Caption Contest. He has also continued his studies in the Shadow Academy, completing several additional courses and honors: Leadership Fundamentals, Old Republic History, Starfighter Studies, Test of Wisdom, Wiki Basics & Dark Maven: History. Additionally, he recently completed a long fiction that details the events that will occur on the siege of Morroth (House Satal Keto's home planet) during our major clan initiative - The War of Ascension.

For his continued activity, his participation, his visits on #plagueis and being one of HSK's foremost, driving members... I award him his first medal. The first of many I look forward to awarding him.
