When Farrin approached me to volunteer for some project work I did not expect to be as blown away by the volume and quantity of what he would accomplish as I was. Removing essay questions from all the courses except leadership, coding and writing has been a long-time goal of the Shadow Academy. I pointed Farrin at the Departments we needed to re-do the exams on and Farrin hit the ground running.

Farrin audited and provided edits for clarity and lore accuracy for 28 Shadow Academy courses. To put that in perspective, that’s 107,401 words of course content that Farrin went over with a fine-toothed comb. He didn’t just flag essay questions for deletion for that part of the project he drafted 145 new questions for the 28 courses to make them fully auto-graded.

Farrin’s work on this project will have a substantial impact on the Shadow Academy for years to come as it will make all of lore courses more accessible to members young and old. I fully expect it to start raining courses and degrees soon, and it wouldn’t be possible without Farrin’s high-quality work.
