Sang is like a boomerang. No matter how hard or far you throw him, he always comes back.

Joking aside, I’m going to take this back a little bit. The Sapphire Blade is reserved for members who have shown consistent and long-term service to their Clan or Brotherhood position. Cethgus will touch on everything Sang has done as not just a member of Clan Arcona, but as a leader. In a Clan as large as Arcona, our Quaestors do just as much work as the Quaestors of Independent Houses and rarely get the recognition they should.

Sang had originally been a Quaestor for 3 Months before having to step down due to real life issues. Most members, when coming back from something like what he dealt with are content to sit in the wings and follow others. Then Quaestor of House Qel-Droma, I personally asked Sang to step in as a BTL. I knew it was a risk, but it was one that panned out in the end as he would go on to serve as a BTL for 6 months, headlong into Great Jedi War X. His team was integral in our efforts to win that war, Shadow Gate possessing Arcona’s top scorers. After the war, changes were made all around. Sang was made Aedile at the same time I was moved up to take on Proconsul. It was a growing experience for both of us, but a few months later, Sang was given the chance to truly shine as Quaestor. For 17 months, Sang carried on the duty of Quaestor, mentoring new leaders, working on developmental projects, and acting as a consistent presence for the Arcona Summit. That’s 26 months of leadership in this club. Can we give him the Sac now? No, not enough?

Sang has never stood out as someone flashy. I think that is where his true appeal in. He doesn't have to be the top scorer or leading the charges with a roar. He is a support pillar that the members can lean on, and his resourcefulness with the Shadow Academy as well as the wiki and his proof reading abilities make him an invaluable member of Clan Arcona.

In his time in Arcona, Sang has accumulated 53 seals from Brotherhood competitions over the past 4 years. He has received every merit medal from DC to GC, as well as 12 LoS, 6 SoF, and 2 SoI’s. In the Dark Crusade he sits at 10th overall on the Arcona Novae Leaderboard with 2 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze. This does not account for the 3 other gold and silver novae he has earned in prior service to Arcona.

There are few members I’m willing to stay up until 5am writing recommendations for. Sang is one of them. Thank you, Alex, for being a dedicated member of Arcona, and for everything you've given back to the Clan. We can now put our Sapphire Blades between our legs and play tummy sticks properly.

I am honoured to be recommending Sanguinius for his first Sacramental Award. I had the privilege of serving as his Aedile, and his hard work and devotion to the Clan has been one of the highest I have seen during my time inside the House. During his time as Quaestor the amount of work that I have seen come from him has been outstanding. He was always driving to help members and keep the members happy with no thought to his own self gain or own rewards. Things like this are the true makings of the great leader in the Brotherhood.

During my time as Aedile under Sanguinius he always pushed me to achieve the very best of my abilities, though he would always support and help me improve on how I managed the day to day duties of Aedile while training me to be able to handle the duties of Quaestor should I ever rise to that occasion. He not only helped me develop as a leader, but as a member. This took many forms, anything from how to write recommendations, promotions and reports to generally talking with members on staying contact over IRC and Email. He also passed his experience and his knowledge to me and helping me develop into the Quaestor that I am to this date.

Since his tenure as Quaestor he developed the wiki page on SCEPTER creating a fictional company for the Galeres, Arcona’s Militant House. This has given us lots of different branches that the house can fictionally develop from and use in different environments; it gives us an identity to stand behind. As well as this he has seen the forming of two new Battleteam under his service as Quaestor. Bringing both Dark Forge and Spectre Cell to life, and then helping the Battle Team Leaders continue to get adjusted to their new positions.

Despite his day-to-day leadership duties, Sang still managed to always take time to proof the work of not just his House, but the entire Clan during the Dark Crusade events. This goes for new members struggling to start out, veterans like myself that still strugle, and even the veteran, novae winning writers as well. As usual, he put the needs of the Clan before his own. As well as pushing members to do the very best for the Dark Crusade, this has been an integral part of his role as Quaestor. Under his leadership, Galeres ramped up a high level of activity due to him taking the time to email and IRC with members and see any issues resolved and getting them working on the Dark Crusade.

Sanguinius is also helping out in the Shadow Academy Revamp project, helping edit and write a number of the exams in order to give members a better experience inside of the Brotherhood. He continues to strive to help members to this day even though he is no longer a Quaestor proving himself more than devoted to this Club and House through his time and service.

Sanguinius is is my true honour to be giving you this Sapphire Blade today. Congratulations and we thank you for all the hard work that you have done for this House and Clan. Keep it up.

Quaestor of House Galeres

Sanguinius has been an valued member of the Shadow Academy Staff for the last 3 years. In this time, his performance has been nothing short of exceptional. Exams are graded in a timely fashion and mistakes are clearly explained. All things considered, Sang is one of those members of the staff that we point out when explaining to new staff members what they should try to emulate. Congrats! P:Headmaster

Since I returned to Clan Naga Sadow and House Shar Dakhan I’ve met a lot of newer members who have continued to make this a great Clan and House and make me want to stay here. Amongst those I think you would struggle to find one more consistently active as Augur Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar.

He first really came to my attention when I decided to try and max the Shadow Academy Society and decided to hit the courses hard. As quickly as I was submitting them, he and a fellow professor were marking and sending them back allowing me to keep going. When you look at the over four hundred he has marked since his last recognition, or the over eighteen hundred since he became an EQ4, that figure just keeps quietly rising which is why I am writing over four hundred because the figure goes up every day. I see newer members in our Clan working on the SA and being happy when they pass a course or get a degree and their society rank goes up and they’re onto the next course and Sanginius courses seem to be among the most frequently taken. It is the quiet work by Shadow Academy staff like Sanguinius that makes it an efficient process and rewarding for the members. As much as the high profile developments and changes that everyone notices and are written about in Dark Council reports are important, the work that quietly goes on behind the scenes every day is equally important and needs recognising for the benefit it gives to the Brotherhood and its members.

In addition to his work in the Shadow Academy, Sanginius continues to be one of the most active members of Clan Naga Sadow. Since his last recognition in 2019 he has organised thirteen competitions, noticeable amongst these was the Pro Bowl IV on which Sanginius worked with Clans Plagueis and Taldryan to create a fun multi clan competition for all their members, demonstrating his ability to look beyond his Clan to benefit members on a wider scale. In addition he has participated in forty four other competitions, earning an impressive sixteen crescents, three pendants of blood and over eight hundred clusters which shows his remarkably consistent level of activity. He is one of those members who has worked his way up House and Clan Summits to the Consul job, already has an astounding number of awards including four different sacramentals, and has never lost his enthusiasm for being an active member of his Clan and the Brotherhood. I feel that alone speaks volumes about his character.

Lastly, I am very happy to have him as my Aedile here in Shar Dakhan. Following the departure of his two predecessors in fairly rapid succession, Sanguinius expressed an interest in the role, and I was happy to accept. Since then along with a few other experienced members he is both a valuable advisor on processes that have changed since I was around before and a supportive but objective sounding board for ideas. He makes suggestions to develop or improve them such as the work we did last summer changing and developing our House’s fictional status. He also worked with me on the recent Inos Incursion competition, both helping develop it, hosting some of the comps, and heavily participating in the individual competitions I ran.

Having an Aedile and member who is both knowledgeable and supportive is invaluable to me, as is his activity that sets an amazing example to every member of our House and Clan. For all of his hard work for Naga Sadow, the Shadow Academy, and the Brotherhood, I am proud to recommend he receive a Sapphire Blade.

One of the constants that I have had in the Brotherhood since my joining has been that of our fine friend Sang. This dude has been a solid part our community for ages.

Although he had stepped away from the role of Consul back in 2018, Sang has never been too far from Clan Naga Sadow. He has served as an Aedile twice over since that time. Particularly, he has served about six months as the Aedile of House Marka Ragnos. Beyond the metrics provided on the site and the primary recommendation provided by his Quaestor, Sang is also a friend to Clan Naga Sadow. Even when he was not in an official position, he was still willing to provide this Consul some advice and insight. Maybe part of that was because of his service term as Quaestor of the House so early in my career. Or maybe that just underlines the constant that he is.

Sanguinius' help has not stopped there since his retirement from heading the Clan. Whether it was from brainstorming, acting as a sounding board, or even stepping up to help the other House and becoming the Aedile of House Shar Dakhan. Since there, he has continued to act as a voice of even reason. As discussions carry on in our Summit chat, I can trust that Sang will give frank and honest feedback to whatever crazy, inane or ingeneous ideas might arise there.

Sang wants good things for our Clan. He reaches out to members to play games on the weekends. He wants our members to engage. He has supported competitions like the Inos Incursion and Tensions in the Orian Empire. Actually, looking back he even placed third overall in the Tensions competition! His support in events like the last Great Jedi War, our pre-war miniseries and our return to the Orian system was greatly appreciated as well.

When you take all these things into account with the contributions that Sanguinius has made to the greater Dark Brotherhood community I am quite excited that we will be able to recognize him with this award. Well done, Sang!

Adept Bentre Stahoes, 2021-02-23 10:58:50 UTC

When I started as an Aedile, Sang was the Quaestor. He helped me learn the ropes of leadership and guided me as I got the hang of writing promotions, reports, and working alongside others. He taught me the importance of communication between Summit and members. He was always available to chat whenever I needed someone to talk to for assistance. Sang is a valuable member to the DJB with his experience and He makes an awesome fun HOTS buddy when it comes to gaming. He has stepped above and beyond his comfort zone to help get things done and I am honored to give my recommendation for this award. Congratulations Sang, you deserve it!

I am completely honored for the privilege of being able to say a few words about my Master, Augur Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar. I could site all the numbers of comps and tests graded Sanguinius has done, but my wonderful collogues above me have already sited those accolades. Sang's leadership and influence is something that should be highlighted.

Sang has taken the reigns of leadership at all levels multiple times. His influence whether in a command position or not, knows no bounds. Sang is a true pillar of Clan Naga Sadow, a wealth of knowledge that is astonishing on another level. His presence within the Clan is immense to say the least. Everyone knows and respects the Augur, that is monumental in my book! He has earned the Sadow namesake and emulates those qualities with natural ease.

There are just a few folks that can make you feel assured after speaking with them. Sang is among that elite group of folks. Quick witted and always forthright, the Augur's counsel is repeatedly sought after amongst the Clan at all levels. Solidifying the Augur's reach and influence throughout the Clan

As his pupil, it is hard not to be biased about the man. Not only is Sanguinius a herculean Professor, his knowledge of history and Star Wars lore strengthens both CNS and the Club. With the amount of members who take courses within Shadow Academy halls, have been positively influenced by him in one way or another.

It is with a great honor that I can express my support of this prestigious award to Augur Sanguinius Tsucyra Entar!! Congratulations Sir you have earned this!

Proconsul Clan Naga Sadow

Adept DarkHawk Sadow, 2021-02-23 11:02:15 UTC

Sang, the Shadow Academy's super professor! As noted in my 2020 Year in Review report, Sang is one of the SA's top graders in terms of both the amount of exams he grades and the speed at which he grades them. Since his last recognition, he's graded 408 courses within an average of seven hours. To put that in perspective, we ask our professors to grade within 24 hours, and our average as a whole in 2020 was just under 12.

It's also notable that this isn't just a spurt of activity for Sang, but something's he done consistently and at the same level of excellence for the club for years. Since he's joined, he's graded 2,344 exams (well over twice the number anyone else has since the site started tracking), with an average grading time of five hours.

In addition to grading, Sang is helpful in staff discussions and always eager to review course changes at audit time. I've spotted him many times congratulating and encouraging members who are taking courses. He's also very helpful to new members and will go out of his way to bring members who are doing well in the SA to the attention of myself and their unit summits to ensure they're properly recognized and awarded.

This guy definitely deserves a new stabby, and I'm glad to offer my recommendation! :)

What can be said about Adept Sanguinius Entar that I am almost positive would not be a repeat characterization of this man. First off, it is always an honor to bestow upon ones Master with an any type of accolade. Since his last recognition the Adept has been steadily adding to his repertoire of accomplishments.

As Aedile of House Marka Ragnos, Sanguinius co/org’d the HMR mini event It Came from Kar Alabrek. He organized four competitions and co/org’d three competitions into a two part mini event protecting HMR assets. An overall successful House event which drew in thirty seven total entries and nine unique participants to the event. To bolster additional gaming activity, the Elder and his Quaestor lead impromptu gaming sessions each week for all members to partake. He is truly adept (pun intended) within the Heroes of the Storm arena and is well sought after as a partner.

His leadership was called on for a second year in a row as a Captain for the Club wide Pro Bowl VI - Alliances event. He helped lead the Frog-Dogs to an excitingly narrow showdown between the two teams. Strengthening relations between six participating Clans and their members. His contributions included a sixth place finish and two fifth place finishes for the event.

When the Adept is not busy with leading us to victories, he stays pretty active within the Club. Over the last few months he has participated in forty-four competitions and thirty-one gaming activities. He has racked up a total of thirteen Crescents, two hundred fifty three Clusters of Fire, three hundred twenty four Clusters of Earth, six Clusters of Graphite, seventeen Scrolls of Foundation and finally eleven seals of Ascension.

Sang is always a voice that draws the attention and the respect of those around him. The dude is more than friendly and willing with our members. He wants to see the best from and by his fellow members. His attitude by and large is just the sort of thing that every member could want from a leader. He is a consonant soundboard and valued resource in mentoring myself as a new Consul. It does not stop there, because of his experience and the respect he garners, his council and mentorship is equally intertwined amongst all of Clan Summit.

From the halls of the Shadow Academy, Adept Sanguinius Entar is currently one of the longest tenured Professors assigned to that institution. Not only is he the longest tenured he has the record of having the most courses graded. Recently adding an additional forty six more courses graded to his grand total. Yet another facet of his leadership and reach within the Club, Adept Sanguinius encompasses qualities of a leader at all levels within the Club.

With everything this man has done over the past few months I can wholeheartedly say that is more than deserving of this prestigious award. Adept Sanguinius Entar it is with great pleasure to see you recognized and cannot thank you enough for your mentorship!

Sanguinius is an awesome guy that is willing to help out where it is needed and tries to encourage others to participate. He has a lot of experience having been a former Consul and is also a good person to bounce ideas from when faced with trying to think of interesting competitions to set up. He is a good listener and even if it’s not DJB related, he will hear you out. I am more than happy to give my recommendation for his outstanding work and service to Naga Sadow. Congratulations Sang!

I'm honored to be writing this recommendation for Sang. He has been a great asset as an Aedile and confidant in helping me run House Marka Ragnos.

As Aedile, Sang has helped me with virtually everything, from discussing future activities, to planning updates to the House infrastructure and lore. This is exemplified in the running of our recent event, It Came From Kar Alabrak!. In this event, Sang personally put together and ran four of the 11 competitions, and we worked together to run two other ones. He and I also spent several hours discussing the story and what types of competitions to include for all of the competitions of the event, to make it as appealing as we could for our members. Finally, Sang proofread my fiction, vetted the competitions I created, and assisted in judging.

As a result of his efforts, we had nine CNS members participate in this event (not counting the two of us), who produced a total of 39 competition entries, and as far as we can tell they enjoyed it.

Sang has also helped me promote gaming activity in the club; we have done a lot of gaming in Heroes of the Storm and Mario Kart on the weekends, and his efforts are reflected in the 31 gaming activities, 253 Clusters of Fire, and 324 of Earth that he has received since his last recognition.

I'm happy to be adding my recommendation for this award. Congrats, Sang!

Sang is my busiest grader by a wide margin. Since his last recognition, he's taken care of 62 exams with average turnaround of only 4 hours. For comparison, the next fastest graders I have average 7 hours. In terms of raw efficiency, the man is such a machine that he's only beaten by dbb0t. That he maintains that level of performance while overseeing the Academy's largest and busiest human-graded department is impressive, to say the least.

There is a lot to be said about our resident Prof, but such profanities cannot be expressed in this venue! Seriously, the Professor is another member of the gang of Old CNS Guards. His presence is continually felt throughout the Clan. Not to be shortchanged, you cannot associate the Shadow Academy without seeing or mentioning his name.

As Aedile of Marka Ragnos Sang has kept the Ragnosians busy. Under his tenure he has mentored four members to the rank of Jedi Knight and beyond this year alone. It does not stop there, his counsel is sought after over and over. Encouraging members to acquire additional duties outside of the Clan, assisting with CS builds . From Aedile, to Professor of the Shadow Academy and now Magistrate to the Headmistress he will continue to shape the members of the Club.

The Prof is no slouch when it comes to getting into the mix of things. He has earned himself nearly 500 clusters, and earning 256k in credits for the Clan. During ProBowl VII and another consecutive year he has stepped up as CNS Team Captain for the Frog-dogs. Again not being afraid of getting in the mix he dove in participating & promoting the event helping lead the Frog-dogs to claim another ProBowl title! Shortly after the ProBowl we rolled directly into the Great Jedi War XVI: Transcendence. With out skipping a beat the Professor competes in seven comp bins securing himself a top ten placement for Phase II Graphics and Miscellaneous! His participation in the War helped CNS take the lead in participation rate through both phases of the GJW. Thank you for all your dedication to CNS Sir. Congratulations on this prestigious award.

I'm honored to be writing this recommendation for Sang. As my Aedile, he has been an invaluable asset and I'm really happy to have him around. He makes up for my weaknesses and helps me with things I'm not very good at. He's also great at planning and doesn't let me forget about things.

As Aedile, Sang has engaged with members a lot. While we haven't done a lot of reports, we both speak to our members on an individual basis a lot, and Sang has engaged members in a multitude of ways. For example, he encourages gaming by gaming almost every weekend on a DJB supported platform. Another example is, he volunteered to be a Probowl Captain this year (for the 2nd year in a row), and he made it fun and our team won. (because he made the brilliant decision to draft me, of course.)

CNS also had high participation percentages in Phase I and II of the recent GJW, with 75% in phase 1 and 79% in phase 2, and at least some of this can be attributed to Sang's actions behind the scenes. Sang helped me figure out what key activities to promote and what to include in my reporting, and he assisted in promoting the events to our clan. Then after the GJW he helped me plan the House awards sweep and understand the new system.

All in all, Sang does much more than he thinks, and I'm glad to have him as Aedile.

Congrats, Sang!

Sang has been more than just a leader. He's been a counselor, a trainer, and a sounding board for members to bounce ideas off of. He's almost always available on Discord to help new members and old alike, to offer a second set of eyes on anything that needs it, from proofreading to refinement. I've personally watched him take the time to encourage new members into roles of leadership, to engage them and help them seek out the activities that not only need doing, but that they will enjoy. Much is said about community being the driving factor behind people sticking with us, that the relationships we build together are crucial to the longevity of the club. And here in Naga Sadow, Sang is and has been a great influence and instrumental figure in that effort.
