Every year on May 4th, we award Seals of Loyalty to members nominated by the DC and Consuls--typically one per DC, two per CON. Normally I would have asked for those nominations last week, but this year we're doing something different. In November 2015 (we used to do SoLs twice a year), eagerly awaiting the release of The Force Awakens, Sarin awarded SoLs to all Clanned and positioned members in the club. This year, we're taking a page out of Sarin's book: every member of the club who has logged into the website between January 1, 2025 and May 4, 2025 will receive a Seal of Loyalty. That this club has not just lasted but thrived for 30 years is a remarkable testament to our community, the leaders at all levels who have kept the ship on course, and especially our members who keep engaging year after year. Since his last promotion, three months ago, Jade has not been sitting on his laurels. Having participated in 66 competitions, he has added 33 Crescents (2 Diamond, 2 Ruby, 9 Amethyst, 10 Sapphire, 8 Emerald, 1 Topaz, & 1 Quartz) to his collection. He also earned his first sacramental award, the Sapphire Blade. Additionally, he has written around 4.000 words spread over two RP Sessions, acquiring 8 Clusters of Ice. He has also gained another 12 Clusters of Graphite and earned himself a Scroll of the Master. In the Shadow Academy, he has not been idle either, passing 10 courses and attaining 2 degrees. On the side of the Societies, he has elevated his rank 6 times across the various societies.
In Gaming, Jade has earned 14 Clusters of Fire and I am expecting him to not sit idle in this field as he will be starting gaming events for the clan before too long.
Since moving to Taldryan in October of last year, Jade has been proving himself a veritable storm of activity. He is highly active and sociable, a solid presence on discord and always willing to jump into conversations.
