Every year on May 4th, we award Seals of Loyalty to members nominated by the DC and Consuls--typically one per DC, two per CON. Normally I would have asked for those nominations last week, but this year we're doing something different. In November 2015 (we used to do SoLs twice a year), eagerly awaiting the release of The Force Awakens, Sarin awarded SoLs to all Clanned and positioned members in the club. This year, we're taking a page out of Sarin's book: every member of the club who has logged into the website between January 1, 2025 and May 4, 2025 will receive a Seal of Loyalty. That this club has not just lasted but thrived for 30 years is a remarkable testament to our community, the leaders at all levels who have kept the ship on course, and especially our members who keep engaging year after year. Since Raistlin's last recognition in January, he has completed a single competition while finishing his term as magistrate to the Consul under Socorra. He has earned the necessary 2278 XP to be awarded a Grand Cross.

The man behind the scenes so to speak Raistlin tends to keep a low profile. That however doesn’t mean he is not an active and productive member of the Vizsla Summit. Since his last recognition Raist has participated in 62 competitions, 23 Gaming activities, and 2 Role Playing sessions. This has garnered him 8 Crescents, nearly 350 Clusters, and Seals of Transcendence. That is pretty active for a guy who works more than I do which is saying something.

On top of that he has been instrumental in my wiki projects the last 6 or so months. He has been heavily involved in creating the Korus Wiki Page with numerous sections being attributed to him personally. These include Raistlin's Respite, The Oasis, and The Bulwark. Additionally, he did all the planning and writing of the Nox Company Wiki page that was recently uploaded by me. Both of these were start from scratch ground up wiki pages with minimal guidance from me. Just an incredible effort to take up on his own voluntarily. The Nox Company just showed up in my inbox like some magical gift from the DB gods. It is nice to have people with that kind of drive and initiative on the summit. As someone who has done several of these wiki articles from scratch, I can attest to how much work and time goes into writing, formatting, and researching a wiki article. let alone two quality entries.

This doesn’t even include all the discussions and planning on implementing so many of our other changes such as the change over to Magistrate roles or introducing the various factions in and around Zsoldos. His contributions to creating lore for Vizsla have been substantial and well-developed. His advice is always well respected in the Summit Chat and I am happy to recommend Raistlin for this Amethyst Kukri!
