I am excited to award Shadow Nighthunter with a Steel Cross today. This merit medal symbolizes a member’s dedication to assisting the Quaestor and Aedile as well as being a mentor to others. Both tasks fully describe the tremendous work she does as the Battle Team Leader of Tacitus Athanasius.
Since Shadow’s last recognition, she has participated in 34 competitions, (co)organized 9 competitions, finished 3 ACC Battles, penned 1 Fiction Activity (1179 words!), passed 3 Shadow Academy courses, and earned 1 Dark Side Degree. In the same amount of time, she has collected several awards: 10 Crescents (1 Cr-R, 6 Cr-A, 1 Cr-S, 2 Cr-E), 14 Clusters of Ice, 5 Clusters of Earth, 15 Clusters of Graphite, and 1 Scroll of Indoctrination. In addition, she has served as the Battle Team Leader of House Excidium’s silent killers for over five months. I will allow Alara to detail her work, but I will say that I have been impressed with her promptness, the quality of her work, and the true compassion in which she operates as a leader. Truly, I believe the Dark Brotherhood would be a more active club if we possessed more leaders like Shadow; she is patient, she is thorough, she exceeds expectations, she is member-oriented, and she asks for nothing in return.
Thank you for helping our members find the best versions of themselves. Your commitment to seeing each member is cared for is most impressive. And I cannot wait until the day I can promote you for being such a vital element of our House and Clan. Keep up the amazing effort!

It is a humbling pleasure and honor to recognize Shadow Nighthunter, my dearest friend and master, with her own Steel Cross. Shadow Nighthunter is one of the most loyal, committed, and wise members I have the privilege of working with. Her compassion, yet stern exhortation is what fuels the Battle Team Tacitus Athanasius for the overflowing activity it brings to House and Clan. She puts her best foot forward in every case with every member to ensure they are being well educated and taken care of.
She has penned articles for both members and Summit leaders to look over when developing skills in character and in leadership. She shares her wealth of knowledge to all through this, and through consistent presence on Telegram.
She’s always there for her subordinates, even if that means sacrificing her own time and sleep to do so. If there is anyone on this earth that has been sent to encourage and strengthen others, it is most definitely Shadow. Though she may be a silhouette of the night IC, she is a shining star who helps others learn to shine their own lights OOC. A wise man once said ‘true leaders are not those in the front, but those who are alongside others, encouraging all to work together towards a common goal. Shadow Nighthunter is a perfect example of this definition.
She constantly offers aid and guidance to her members when it comes to getting them to promotion and leadership roles they desire. Her hard work on the Tacitus Athanasius Wiki holds evidence of her detail and organization. She even designs quest and mission prompts for each TA initiate when they desire to join the Battle Team, and pens a special story of their introduction to the ranks of Silent Death Citadel upon their response. She keeps an eye on her members’ growth, and looks for opportunity to build into the minds of her fellow assassins.
Shadow, I am so so proud and so awestruck at the role model you are for the Clan. Not only are you activity records exuberant, but your passion and determination to make this website a better and more active place speak much louder than any amount of text I can record. Thank you for your hard work and consistent, eager spirit that you provide for our House daily. In regards to this, I offer you a *Steel Cross. It’s been an honor to work under you and alongside you.
