In this time he helped run the 'Taldryan Intelligence Directorate' series of competitions, as well as contributing a further two competitions of his own design. He didn't just create content; he also took part in no less than twenty competitions, securing a Crescent in one of them. For this activity and leadership I'd like to award him an Anteian Cross! As Quaestor he gave me my first role of leaders Omega took the time to train me, making me his replacement for when he chose to step down from his position. For being my first inspiration the join a leadership role, I have to thank him. Omega is now and has been a regular voice in the Taldryan Clan Chat. Even when Real Life took his time away from participating in competitions, he was always available to give his voice. Since his last promotion, Omega has served time as the Quaestor of Dinaari, organized and co-organized 11 competitions, participated in 20 competitions, and earned 1 crescent. Ever since Taldryan reclanned, House Dinaari has struggled with finding itself again. It’s always fallen a bit behind its sister House Ektrosis. But Omega never wavered in his dedication: first to the now defunct Harbingers battle team, and then as Quaestor itself. Howie will get into the nitty gritty of all the great work that Omega has done, all the competitions created and participated in, but for my part, I would just like to focus on the leadership Omega has given his House, and indeed the Clan. Consistency is one of those strange words. People seem to think that it’s a half of an insult, but to my mind, consistency is the bedrock on which all other greatness is built, and Omega is nothing if not consistent. His work as Quaestor has been great: he’s always willing to sit down and brainstorm with me on ways to try to improve his House. When the idea was presented that we categorize Dinaari as Taldryan’s gaming house, Omega was all over it. He immediately tried to find ways to integrate more gaming into the fabric of the house. He created the popular Dinaari Presents series of competitions that he runs not only for the Clan, but for the entire Brotherhood. The gaming initiative has now been abandoned, but still Omega does his best every day to serve his members well. These are just a few of the qualities that make Omega so very deserving of elevation, and it is therefore my pleasure and honour to promote him to the rank of Battlemaster. More than that, Omega has taken to heart all of the lessons, and tenets with which I attempt to instill in the leadership of Taldryan, most notably the idea that personal activity is one of the most important factors in being a leader in the Dark Brotherhood. It's been a little over 5 months since I last rewarded Omega for all of his hard work, and it honestly has never been something he has mentioned... which is another little bit about being a leader in the Brotherhood I like to see: it's not about the recognition, it's about the results... and Omega's results have been formidable. Since he promotion he has been a force, both organizing and co-organizing 10 competitions, as well as participating in nearly 50. He continues to be active in gaming, earning over 320 gaming clusters, as well as having been active in his less preferred milieu of writing. Omega has taken to heart the lessons his Clan Summit have tried to teach him, and made the knowledge his own. He's truly becoming a leader that Taldryan, and the Brotherhood itself can be proud of. Moreover, he's practicing what he preaches in leadership. He doesn't just tell the members of Dinaari to go participate in competitions - he actually does it himself. Since his last recognition in February, Omega is has participated in 45 competitions, organized/co-organized 10 more, earned 5 Crescents, one Pendant of Blood, 63 Clusters of Fire, 267 Clusters of Earth - and earned the Leadership Dark Maven. The leadership maven tells us something that we can see demonstration from Omega's behaviour - he's becoming a leader (not because he earned a Shadow Academy degree, but because of his competition creation and his overall participation in Brotherhood activities - the degree is just the piece of internet paper confirming it all).
