A knock rang on the Aedile's door.
"Enter," replied the Dark Jedi Master.
"My lord, an urgent message has arrived for you," stammered Fionn.
"What does it say and who is it from?" asked Nathaniel.
"It is unmarked and only you can open it my Lord," replied the Guardian. Nathaniel took the holopad and dismissed the young Jedi. The Dark Jedi Master placed his thumb on the pad, which turned the screen on.
"Master.....We need....Help.....Come to......Temple....." The distorted image of the temple on Judecca blinked on then disappeared. Nathaniel called Fionn back into his office.
"Who delivered this, I wish to speak with him?" asked Nathaniel.
"From the looks of his uniform, he is an officer of the Dragon Seraphim legion," replied Fionn. "He died shortly after handing it off." Nathaniel stared out his window, then slowly turned back to the House Envoy.
"Prepare my shuttle, I leave immediately for the Temple at Judecca," ordered the Aedile.
Meanwhile at the Caliburnus training grounds.
The Sabers clashed together, the one combatant being brutally pummeled by his vastly superior opponent.
Come now, how do you expect to live through the next vendetta with fighting like that?" Yelled the Sith Lord. "Are you even trying?" The young Jedi attacked furiously, angered by the Equites remarks, but to no avail. With one quick move, the young Jedi was rendered unconscious.
"Training will be the only thing to save your life," said the Battelord as he turned to the journeymen who were carefully following his instruction.
"Lord Darkstar, a message has been sent to you from the ProConsul," said the messenger.
"Thank you, I shall take it in the office," replied Vally. The holoscreen turned on, Phoenix looked agitated.
"Hello my friend, I have a mission of the utmost importance. And of course, this mission is clasified," Vally nodded to the order. "Good, I need you to get to the Temple on Judecca and investigate what the hell is going on. A shuttle has been prepared and is waiting for your arrival. Good luck old friend." Vally nodded again and made his way to the shuttle bay.
Nathaniel's shuttle landed and the Master made haste to secure the area. Shortly thereafter, Vally's shuttle landed.
"Where you ordered here as well Nat?" asked the Battlelord.
"No, I recieved a communication from here, I assumed it was from RevengeX,"replied Nathaniel.
"That would explain Pho's anger in his message. So you found anything yet?" asked Vally.
"There is a lot of blaster marks around and I found a few bodies over the ridge there. Aslo, the Temple door has been opened," replied Nathaniel.
"I thought the Temple was sealed off a long time ago, who could have opened it," asked Vally to the response of a cunfused shrug from Nathaniel. Both Jedi made their way to the temple and slowly walked up the stairs.
"It's too quiet here," whispered Vally. Nathaniel nodded in agreement as the two slowly made their way into the main hallway of the Temple. The hall was lavished in symbols of the clan and other markings that could not be identified by the two. The two passed through a thick, dust-like cloud as they entered into the antechamber.
"Something is wrong here. We better tu...." But it was too late, the Temple slowly closed shut behind them. Suddenly four squads of black armored soldiers rushed into the chamber and surrounded the Dark Jedi. Their armor adorned no marking to any affliation to Clan or person. Their weapons were as black as their armor and had markings the two had never seen before.
"Who are you and how dare you desecrate the holy Temple," asked Nathaniel. The soldiers response was to the question was to take an offensive stance slowly moving closer. Nathaniel grinned.
"You fools. Now you die," taunted the Dark Jedi Master. Nathaniel extended his hand and prepared to strike with force lightning, but nothing happened. Vally cocked his brow then waved his hand to use telekinetic strike, but got the same affect.
"We have anticipated your arrival," boomed a voice from the higher level of the temple.
"Did you think it would be that easy," came another voice. The two grabbed for their sabers, and tried to ignite them, only to have them spark and die.
"We antcipated that as well Dark Jedi," came a third voice from above.
"And what is it that you want with us?" asked Nathaniel.
"Submission and obediance," said a fourth voice.
"Your power and abilities," came another.
"You will kneel before our power," taunted a sixth voice.
"An what makes you think we will do that?" asked Nathaniel again.
"You will do so, or you will die," said a seventh voice.
"Well, since you put it that way, you can kiss our.." Vally's remark was cut off as the soldiers lept into action. Furiously the two fought, resorting to hand to hand combat and weapons of their enemies to subdue the first to waves. Bones crunched and bodies felll as Nathaniel and Vally fought back-to-back against their aggressors.
"Enough," boomed from the now visable cloaked figure above them. Now all seven appeared form the shadows, their dark cloaks making it hard to see who they were. With the wave of thier hand, the bodies of the fallen soldiers slid off into the darkness. Panting heavily, bloodied, fatigued, and angered, Nathaniel and Vally glared at the seven.
"It is agreed by this Tribune that the two of you are guilty on all accounts," said the figure standing in the middle of the seven.
"And what are our charges," spat Nathaniel.
"You are guilty of unwaivering loyalty and love for your clan. You works have made great strides and have pushed her to greater heights. And, by the traditions of the Elders, you have been put through the Trial of Blood." The seven made their way down to the lower level, moving in a half circle around the two. "It is in agreement that on this day, the Day of Liberation, that you Vally Augustana Tamalar Darkstar and Nathaniel, be awarded for you long time work and support of Clan Scholae Palatinae. So therefor, from now on, you will be none as Sons of Palpatine and afforded all accomendations therein." With that the seven revealed themselves to the two new Palpatines. Vail and Desio removed the old robes of the two, Niemand and RevengeX placed upon them their new ceremonial robes of the Palpatines, Phoenix and Rhaub placed the amulet of CSP around their necks, and Cuchulain touched each of their shoulders with the Sword of Scholae.
"RISE BROTHERS, YOUR CLAN AWAITS!!!" spoke the seven in unison.
On this Day, We the members of the of the family Palpatine, both new and old, award Vally and Nathaniel the honor of the Clan name for their hard work and determination in the growth and future of CSP.
