I bring before you today a member worthy of promotion within the Equite Class. Prajna Berkana, Obelisk Templar, House Dorimad Sol has distinguished himself through selfless service to his House and Clan. He served HDS with distinction as their Aedile under Quaestor Thran Occasus, ushering in a renewed sense of purpose and direction to the House, bringing them closer and closer to gaining the mantle of First House of Scholae.
It is through his dedication and determination that the Independence Games were started, and completed. His work on the website for the IGs alone is enough to warrant promotion, but the fact that he has also helped to guide HDS to victories in Clan competitions before he stepped down from Aedile that truly sets him apart from his peers.
I have known Prajna since I joined the Brotherhood and few in CSP come close to his level of dedication to House and Clan. It is my great honor to recommend him for promotion to Obelisk Prelate and allow him the honor of creating his first custom lightaber.

I respectfully submit this recommendation for the elevation of Prajna Berkana to the rank of Obelisk Prelate. His longtime service to House Dorimad Sol since it reopened last year has been one of oustanding activity and leadership. During his four months as Aedile of the House, Prajna ran four house wide competitions, HDS dominated in the IG's as well as the HDS vs. House Caliburnus feud, and the house became the premier house of Clan Scholae Palatinae. On his personal activity, he was named Defender of Scholae Palatinae for his outstanding work in the clan feud where he finished 2nd to one of his housemates. Prajna could not participate in IGs, but lead a house with the Champion of the IGs and several other prominant members instrumental in a Clan Scholae Palatinae victory. His creation and maintaining of the House history on the wiki has also given the house an excellent jumping off point for their fictional place in the universe. His work with websites of HDS and the Royal Gazette have
also been an invaluable aid to the House and Clan.Outside of the House/Clan, Prajna worked with Braecen on the creation of the 2008 Independence Games. For his work in the creation of the website and his other work on the IG's, he was awarded a Sapphire Blade. This member served as the Number 2 lead on IGs, responsible for ensuring all submissions were properly recieved, and that each submission was organized for
judges. Prajna also Organized spreadsheets with participation points which meant that he had to count every entry that was received. His other work included helping with the gaming, organizing judges for the other events with a single email account of accessability, and judging of time related events and other arbitrary decisions. After the IG's, he also helped
Mejas Doto in the creation of the website for the 3 way Clan Feud: Uneasy Alliances.

I am honored to be part of the process for Prajna's advancement within the Dark Brotherhood. I have worked with him since he joined Clan Exar Kun as a Protector and seen him grow to the member he is today. And I fully believe he demonstrates the traits we have come to expect out of those at this level.
When Prajna stepped down from HDS Aedile after four months, I was worried about what he would do next. Yet, I was one - nay, three - steps behind, as he had moved into the quasi-Praetor world as a volunteer web site developer for the 2008 Independence Games and the three-way clan feud "Uneasy Alliances" (twice). His contributions were countless in both regards. As my right-hand in the IGs, he went above and beyond (and was awarded a Sapphire Blade) for the fifty some-odd pages he developed, the IG email he set up, the spreadsheet tracker he made and counting all the participation. In short, he administrated an entire DB-wide competition and took very, very little public credit for it.
In addition to such work for the Brotherhood, I see another unique talent from Prajna: mentorship. It is not uncommon to see people goof around on IRC. What is, however, is seeing someone take a friend or clan mate to the side and help them grow. I have seen Prajna do this countless times with Empire At War, fictions and growth as members. How many members sacrifice their time to help another instead of themselves? A very few. And that is why I believe Prajna should be elevated to Equite 2.
