Over 6 years to be exact. Brimstone has been a constant beacon of activity over that time, a true powerhouse in churning out entries and raking in Crescents and credits. More than that he is a steady voice around the various channels we use to communicate in and a valued member of Clan Vizsla, the entire brotherhood and good friend to have around. I had to break out the super advanced calculator to add up all the competitions he has entered and medals he has won. A total of 720 competitions in the last 6 years is more than most members enter in their entire career. He has completed 11 ACC battles and written 27456 words of fiction counting his work in various Run Ons. From all that activity he has won 107 crescents and 2 Gold Nova. He has amassed 1055 total Clusters, 74 Seals, 8 Merit awards, 1 Sapphire Blade, and 1 Ruby Scepter. It is simply staggering the amount of work he puts into competing in the Club. More than that though he has become a valuable member of the Vizsla Summit over the last 6 months. I won’t lie I was skeptical at how he would perform, since he had never been in a leadership role within the club. He has exceeded my goals for him and performed his duties both promptly and accurately. Tasked with updating the clans records in the new Google Drive account and the spreadsheets within. Oftentimes he has them updated within minutes of the activity being made public. His assistance on various Clan projects has been helpful as well with the Fleet retcon being the most expansive. We recently redid the entire Clan Fleet in Vizsla. He assisted both Ricmore, and myself in going over the ships, building a plan and then organizing the Vizsla Navy. This was not a small task as we literally sold our entire assets, planned and crunched numbers and then made a list of various fleet designs before choosing the final plan. It was a big undertaking that took over a month to complete. Brimstone has over the years fought through every conceivable issue and coined the phrase “Brimstoning” as has been mentioned before. Doing everything you can with as little resources as possible. That kind of dedication and determination is rare and should be recognized at every available opportunity. In that regard, he has participated in 34 competitions, placing in 11 of them. He was the highest-scoring Vizsla member in the Pro Bowl competition, helping the Rot-Worms take the win in this recent multi-clan event. This is exactly what we look for in our leaders, and in that regard, Brim is showing his mettle as Aedile of House Wren perfectly. One other thing of particular note – something that I wouldn’t have particularly noticed unless it was missing – is his engagement with the rest of the club as a whole. We are a social club at heart and he is active in most, if not all, the public channels in Discord and has also added comments/questions/thoughts to 20 news posts. His upbeat attitude and his willingness to participate is greatly appreciated and welcomed in the clan. For that, I am pleased to recommend him for this Steel Cross! Where Brim is coming into his own and growing quite well is on the leadership front. He is the most vocal member in the summit chat and brings fresh ideas. His ability to motivate members to participate without sounding like he is forcing them is much appreciated. I am a firm believer in leading by example and Brimstone embodies this. Both in his activity and his vocal role as Aedile of House Wren. He knows his strengths and plays to them but also is willing to step outside of those where needed as could be seen in his learning Diablo 3 and then helping members inside and outside of the clan learn the game as well.
