Reminder on a few things

Since I was on leave this weekend I didn't do a report. I'd just like to remind people of a few things:

1: Those that have not yet taken the leadership test and are CURRENTLY in command positions, you have until January 1st before the advancement moratorium comes into affect. Those that are NOT currently in command positions will be UNABLE to gain command positions until such time as they have taken this test.

This is NOT up for debate. Those that think the more they complain on this issue, the more likely I am to change my mind think again. It is no longer the case that the DB will appoint people to leadership positions who are unable to handle the basic administrative duties that come with those positions. Current leaders are expected to take the tests anyway because it is unfair for us to ask other people to do what we would not ourselves do.

And for those querying, I have taken it, and I expect the same from you.

2: The DGM Website (and competition approval form) is at http://dgm.minos.net. Don't use any other website to get your competitions approved because, guess what Sherlock, it won't get through to me and it won't be done!

Furthermore, a lot of competitions are being denied because people are submitting them with the WRONG MEDALS. Be sensible! Check the DSC BEFORE you submit your competition. I'm not going to spend any longer updating medal awards over and over again. Get them wrong and you will have to resubmit the competition from scratch with the correct medals.

3: The DB Chatroom, and all other chat rooms associated with the DB are covered by AoWs and CoCs. If you don't like it, that's just tough. I've received far too many complaints recently regarding the behaviour of other members, and it's not good enough. Show a little mutual respect to each other, and the whole place will get on much better.

May I remind you that if you break the AoWs and CoCs then you ARE liable to be brought in front of the HCI on various charges which carry various penalties including demotion, loss of medals, suspension, and, in the most severe cases, ultimately expulsion.

Personally, I didn't find being in front of the HCI much fun, so I suggest you don't go there if you can help it. ;)

4: It's the last couple of days to submit to the Christmas Bonanza competition - the deadline is at Midnight GMT on New Year's Eve, so get cracking!

5: Consuls/Proconsuls, it's also your last chance to comment on the Clan Evaluation protocols that I sent out to you before the Christmas break. Comments received after 1st January will be paid no attention!

6: The Great Jedi War is still in planning - expect to hear how you can help out soon!
